Our first interaction was very helpful and he got me quoted pretty decently and had a set price for the rebuild. From there, he helped me order the right parts and took me step by step to doing a PC rebuild to make sure everything works and none of my data was lost. The parts came in and Korey came and picked all the parts up and began the rebuild, taking me step by step through the process. Communication was Excellent and he sent photos of the assembly. Korey did an awesome job with this rebuild, entire setup was clean, cables were very organised, and he gave me specs and even offered advice on how to make the rebuild more efficient. Response time: 9 hours Response Rate: 100% Or so it says on the main business page but my brief experience with Nacron Productions before it has even begun has been underwhelming and does not live up to the claims that drew my attention in the first place. Long story short; our primary printer we use for business stopped working and we found just a handful of printer repair companies via Yelp on Oahu and Nacron was first choice because of its stellar reviews. Called a little after their listed opening time of 9am to book. No answer. No problem. People are busy. Left message with a call back number. Waited. Then waited some more. Sent a quote request via Yelp. Still nothing. I did get a response from another company, though, that asked what printer model I had then quickly remembered that they don't repair printers...(???). Second call around noon, then a third around 3pm. No answer and straight to voicemail(again). Second voice message left with hope still left that I may still get a call back before the end of the business day. Still nothing. Now here I am writing this at 8pm in the evening. Definitely not within the 9 hour response time, and definitely a 0% response rate. Despite not having any actual work or service done by Nacron to actually be able to review here, hopefully this initial review of my experience so far, which has been less than stellar, will make the next hopeful/potential customer better prepared for a sore lack of response, if any, especially if it is to find a solution for an urgent computer equipment situation such as in a home office or an actual business. As they say, time is money, right? 9 hours to get some sort of reply I can live with it. 0% response, no. I can only hope that this is a one off fluke in Nacron Productions service quality standards(I understand things happen but sheesh, don't you WANT business...?), but the generous 2 star review will have to stay for now. I got all this from Korey plus pickup and delivery for $89.99 plus parts! A great deal! WORK COMPLETED - Inspected system, USB 2 front ports that were deemed "non functional" by H Power was actually unplugged from motherboard - Pulled SSD and attempted to recover data, not mounting - Installed new SSD into system and started to install Windows 10 - Old SSD eventually mounted. Was able to pull full image of SSD - Pulled new SSD and wrote image to new SSD - Booted to new SSD - Repaired Windows - Updated Windows - Stress tested system, all tests passed - Disassembled system - Deep cleaned caked on dust from fans - Cleaned salt deposits on case near fan exhaust - Cleaned and reapplied thermal paste on CPU - Changed fan to plug into motherboard instead of using molex split - Cleaned interior and exterior of case Korey kept me to date with texts, asking me questions when needed. Very friendly and thorough and took the time to show that he really valued my business. I recommend everyone to come to Korey for all of their computer needs. Several months ago, my wife's laptop stopped working. It wouldn't wake up/start up, wouldn't hold a charge, etc. We took it to Apple and they said it was likely a motherboard issue and that it would cost around $500 to send it away for repair. We figured it wasn't worth it and declined. Since then, the laptop has been sitting in the living room, being utilized as a very expensive paper weight. My laptop one day was stuck in BIOS mode and nothing I could do would reset it for me. I sent a request for a few quotes and though Korey's pricing was pretty reasonable. It was also free delivery and pickup which made it so much easier for me. The same day I inquired about getting my laptop fixed, Korey was able to meet me a couple hours later at my parents house near my work. He let me know there may be an issue with the hard drive and was very thorough at explaining what he was going to do. He also let me know he wasn't sure if he could recover all my documents.
