I was not happy with our current phone carrier and was shopping around to switch. When I went into the Kam Shopping Center T-Mobile store , everyone was very welcoming. Ryan was our service advisor and he gave us few plan options to think them over. When we decided on the plan and went back to the store, Ryan and the manager were so engaging and helpful to explain everything and try and get us the best plan. The best part is we are able to save at least $40 a month from the former carrier and he walked us through how to redeem all the switch-over promo credits. He is the best advisor and the whole staff are amazing as well. We highly recommend anyone to switch to T mobile. But do it at this location!!!! read more

I'm writing this review because I sincerely hope it prevents another family from going through what we experienced at this T-Mobile location. We have been loyal T-Mobile customers for more than 10 years, have never missed a payment, and I am extremely disappointed by the way this situation was handled. We were offered a promotion involving new Galaxy watches for our two children. We were told that by opening two new watch lines, we could get the new watches with one costing $15 per month and the other $7.50 per month. I specifically questioned the salesperson about the cost, and I was assured that we would only be paying the $15 and $7.50. That is NOT what happened. What was not properly explained to us was that we apparently could not simply cancel our two old watch lines without financial consequences. So instead of replacing two watch lines with two new ones, we ended up paying for FOUR watch lines while only using TWO. To make matters worse, insurance remained active on the old watch lines that we weren't even using. We have now lost more than $400 because of this situation. Then things somehow got worse. I called T-Mobile trying to straighten out the mess and at least remove the insurance from the watch lines we weren't using. Instead, without my realizing it, the representative removed the insurance protection from my primary cell phone and my wife's primary cell phone. Had something happened to either of our phones during that time, we could have been facing an even bigger financial loss. My wife and I finally went back to the store expecting someone to acknowledge what happened and help make this right. Instead, there was virtually zero accountability. We were essentially told, "We tell our employees to give customers the proper information." Okay--but what happens when they DON'T? There was no refund, no meaningful attempt to compensate us, and not even an apology. They did at least restore the insurance protection on my phone. The proposed "solution" was equally frustrating: we were told that our best option was to pay off the old watches completely. Think about that. After coming in because we had already lost hundreds of dollars due to what we believe was misleading or incomplete information, their solution was for us to give T-Mobile even more money. I am completely dissatisfied with the way T-Mobile handled this. A customer should be able to rely on the information given by a salesperson when agreeing to a promotion--especially when that information directly determines what the customer will be paying every month. We have been faithful T-Mobile customers for more than a decade. We deserved better than a shrug and an explanation that employees are supposed to give customers the correct information. I am hoping a district manager, general manager, or someone from T-Mobile corporate who actually has the authority to correct this will contact us, review exactly what happened, refund the money we should never have been charged, and make this right. Until then, I would strongly advise anyone considering a promotion at this location to get every single detail in writing before agreeing to anything. read more

They're incompetent in doing their job not only that check your bill. There's all kinds of charges and fees that they're adding on without your knowledge then when it comes down to it to do the insurance claim or a claim in general they told me to go to the Apple Store I went to the Apple Store and they told me that my phone wasn't covered after T-Mobile had just told me my phone was covered so I spent three hours on a Sunday driving back-and-forth with gas at almost 6 dollars a gallon and nothing was resolved. I walked out of the store slamming the door cause they're incompetent of doing their job correctly I'd fire everybody on that job. I came into this T-Mobile store with one simple goal: to buy a basic prepaid phone. When I walked in, most of the staff just stared at me, and only one employee approached me to ask if I needed help. I clearly explained that I was only looking for the most basic prepaid phone--nothing more. Despite that, the salesperson kept trying to upsell me on a smartphone. I repeatedly said no, but he continued suggesting other options, including opening a new line. I had to keep restating that I just wanted a basic prepaid device. Eventually, he showed me the available phones. When I pointed out a basic flip phone I wanted, he told me he needed to check if it was in stock--even though I had just asked what was available. After waiting for a while, he came back and said the phone was in a "safe" and that a manager would need to retrieve it. It seemed a bit excessive for a prepaid phone under $100. During the wait, he continued trying to sell me additional services, including WiFi, and kept asking about my current internet provider, despite me saying multiple times that I wasn't interested. What should have been a quick in-and-out trip ended up taking over an hour, which was incredibly frustrating. I understand that sales representatives have goals to meet, but when a customer clearly states what they want, that should be respected. Overall, the pushy sales approach and lack of efficiency made this a very unpleasant experience. I'd really appreciate it if the staff would listen more and ease up on the constant upselling. read more

I've been a customer of TMobile for over 25 years by accident. I originally was with another large company but was encouraged by my sister to look into TMobile for the affordability and indeed, the prices were comparatively much lower. I called my then carrier at that time to see if they had comparable prices, the rep bluntly told me to switch over if you want to. So that's exactly what I did. Prior to switching I was warned by a handful that TMobile often has dropped calls so you get what you pay for. But according to my sister who was very pleased with TMobile, I followed suit and switched over. TMobile has many locations and this one is the nearest my home and my work office. They reward their customers with many perks, one of them TMobile Tuesdays where you get merchandise or a special, limited deal. Just recently an umbrella was the perk. Some of my colleagues came back from an early lunch break showing off their catchy bright pink umbrellas. This caught eyes of others and after assessing the umbrella, a handful of us realized what a great perk this was. The next thing you know 3 of us entered lunch break and we carpooled to this store in Kamehameha Shopping Center, which is less than a 5min drive from our office. As we entered the store there were many customers and staff. There was one staff who was in charge of distributing the freebie so after showing him my mobile app offer, I got my umbrella. Timing is great because the umbrella in my car recently broke after 15 years of service. I've been here multiple times with issues, questions and purchasing gadgets. Good customer service is consistent and with lots of parking here. I understand that the forever upgrade program no longer is available and not being grandfathered. My current arrangement with my 15Pro has not yet been fully paid off yet but I'll wait until then to look into other options with TMobile or other carriers. For the time being I'm still a satisfied TMobile customer and glad I switched over. read more

Happy Earth Month... Keeping up with the trend T-Mobile offer this Tuesday is an oversized tote and sadly my usual Kaka'ako location had closed thought to give this location a peek. Located in the Kamehameha Shopping Center T-Mobile is located on the west side between Baskin Robbins and Jeans Warehouse. Like always as soon as I enter I was greeted by staff and I was ready with my T Life app and already see that they still had some bags left even at this late afternoon which I was so happy to see and got quickly on my way. This location is in a shopping mall so parking is absolutely free though can be a struggle to find, the free goodies are a nice perks though I've been a life long T-Mobile user and really like the customer service. Had a appointment today at 2:30pm and check in was easy. Didn't really think we needed an appointment at first but I was glad I did reserve the time because a long line developed outside afterwards. So make a appointment is my tip. Went in and spoke to a representative to help with my mother and my stepdad get new phones. Process was pretty long but the tmobile rep was very informative and gave excellent advice. My mother and stepdad got new Iphone 12 Pros, and transferring everything over from their old phones was done there, also the rep installed the glass screen protector. Very happy with our time there, but it just takes a long time as it does with every carrier to get a phone setup and done. Couple of hours. Mike Salvador was awesome and made everything go smoothly. Wish I could give this location ZERO stars due to the T-Mobile associate named MIKE SALVADOR. Mike was completely disrespectful and blatantly ignorant in the short time that I've encountered him. He made offensive remarks towards me and did not think twice about what he was saying, instead laughed about it. I am a nice person so I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he did not help me at all. He ignored my presence majority of the time & only spoke to make rude remarks. BRADLEY CHOY is a DONKEY because he misspelled our address where our iPhone 13 pro's are suppose to ship. He had our ID w/ our address on top and also told us that he obtained it from us switching from sprint. So how did this error occur? So since we realized there was an error on the address when I was looking at our T-Mobile account we went into the store to get help and see if they are able to correct it. Anyway while we were waiting inside the store my bf asked CHRISTIAN if this case would fit his phone that he ordered. GUESS WHAT HIS RESPONSE WAS?!! if it would fit it would say iPhone 13 Pro, you must be off your game, you should drop the bong. Like wtf not everyone knows that iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 pro cases are not interchangeable. Then I asked him what this $94 charge was for that I got charge on my card yesterday.. he told me oh that is for tax charge for your phones. Then I told him I thought we paid for it already at our initial visit. He said no you couldn't have since we ordered these online you must have paid for the SIM cards and he proceeds to say yeah you can blame uncle sam for the taxes. So I said ok so it's not a recurring charge? Then he says to me no it's your taxes sorry we can't help you dodge the payment. I was furious! I have no problem paying but any normal person would like to know and understand what they are getting charge for. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS HORRIBLE! T-Mobile customer service is terrible. First I tried to order a new I-Phone 13 using my I-phone 11 but it would not let me order two phones (no trade in). When I finally got where I thought I had ordered the phones I get a message saying the phones would be a lease. So I called customer service and had to wait an hour on hold. Then talking to representative for 15 minutes and the phone disconnected. Tried to call following day another wait for an hour for T-Mobile to call me back. Then the operator sounds like she is in a wind tunnel. After 30 minutes trying to order phones call disconnected again. Called again and 30 minute wait only to learn insurance is $9 more then Apple insurance from Apple but phone is same price. T-Mobile really needs to fix its customer service. I've been w T-mobile for over 20 years and in 3 weeks I've been hacked 2xs, both times my # was stolen right out from my phone. No warning, 1 minute I was getting 15 notifications that someone was try to change my log in and passwords and the next minute was phone had to connection. I called T-Mobile Customer Care w my wifes phone and T-Mobile said my phone # was registered over seas now. T-Mobile downloaded me a new E- SIM card and gave me a new #. 7 days later the same DAM thing happened. I went to the store this time and the did the same thing downloaded a new ESIM and gave me a new #. In 2.5 weeks I have spent 150 hours on the phone closing accounts and all Credit Cards, bank accounts. Then I read T-Mobile settles a 60M fine for 2Million Identities were hacked. Large company but they dont care. So Many people I know w/ T Mobile have had their accounts corrupted. I am looking to leave T Mobile soon. Doing My research. read more

The two biggest First-world problems that no one ever wants to deal with are: A) Canceled yoga classes and, B) Issues with our fancy smartphones. Ok, maybe not problem A, but definitely problem B, am I right? The last thing anyone wants to do right now, especially with the current health crisis, is to go to the phone-carrier store, possibly wait for an eternity in a (more than likely) long line, with angry-looking customers waiting around for even angrier-looking employees, who would probably be on the phone trying to troubleshoot an issue with a technician who lived in India or some other notorious outsourcing country, and then finally deal with whatever it is that is plaguing our small, expensive, precious little communication devices that (for a lot of people) are the lifeline to our very modern existence. Am I being a tad bit dramatic? Yes I am, but you would be too if you knew what horrors awaited once your phone were to ever break. By the grace of God, there was no line when I got to this T-Mobile store in Kamehameha Shopping Center, but since the store looked pack I hung out right outside the doors on the small little circles marked "Social Distance, Stand Here". Luckily, an intuitive employee who had just finished with a customer came outside to check in on me and I proceeded to let him know I had a 5:30pm appointment. He brought me in the store where I waited, NOT for an eternity but more like 9 minutes for Mike, assistant manager and customer service extraordinaire! He complimented my Nike kicks as I likewise did his Air Maxes, and with the pleasantries out of the way, Mike went straight to resolving my first-world issues. Mike was smart, knowledgeable, and engaging and helped to ease my anxiety over my broken phone. He was super easy to work with and in the end was able to help get my iPhone back up and running in top shape. I was overly impressed with the service I received during this visit. Bravo and applause! *Side note*. As I am writing this review, my other half chimed in and let me know that she also was given fantastic service when she came in to inquire about tablets for her company a few months ago. My wife said the service rep was really helpful and even called other T-Mobile stores to check for a product that they unfortunately didn't carry. Great job y'all! I wanted to let you folks know a couple things before you yourself (heaven forbid) have to make a trip to this store. First, I tried a few times to call the store during the day while I was at work but nobody ever picked up. However, if you go to their website, or better yet, if you have the T-Mobile app, you can set an in-person appointment online. The User-interface is fairly easy and shouldn't take more than five minutes for even the least tech-savvy average Joe. Second, vaccinated or not, you still need to have a face mask to gain entry into the store and be helped. All county and state Covid restrictions do apply here. Third, you probably won't have a hard time finding parking at Kamehameha Shopping Center. There are plenty of stalls, albeit not right in front of the store itself. Last but definitely not least, please expect delays. Even though I was early for my appointment I still had to wait 9-10 minutes after my scheduled time before I was seen by a customer service rep. The best advice I can give you is "Be patient". We all want to be seen right away as soon as we get there, but we all also want be taken care of thoroughly and to our own satisfaction. So we have to understand that these service reps are gonna take their time with each and every valued customer, ourselves included. He was patient and answered all of our questions about our phones, transferring and getting our cases and protectors set. Having been with T-Mobile for 15 years and how times have changed now not having the need to go visit the actual physical store, there are times that call for it, such as for me, to do the warranty exchange for my phone. Location: I live around the area and I'm glad they have a location in Kalihi, let alone in Kamehameha Shopping Center. The store is where the old Radio Shack used to be. Roomy and very modern, everything looks very up to date and bright. Service: I wanted to give Bradley a shoutout because he made the whole experience very smooth and relaxed. He made the setting very personal and comfortable as if we were old time friends, and I believe he deserves some recognition. Throughout my experience coming here there was always someone ready to assist me and if they were busy there would still be someone who notices that I have arrived and the sign is in to be registered in the queue. NOTE: This review is mostly based on the service, as most often these workers are not trained technicians of the many devices that T-mobile sells and support. They assist and guide you to solutions through the carrier so with that a little disclaimer as most often there is not much they can do but replace it through the normal process with T-mobile. Overall, I would definitely come here more regularly rather than driving out to town for any carrier based transaction or exchange, the staff are nice and very willing to help. I have no complaints so far, which is why I am with T-mobile for the long haul. Also if you are a T-mobile customer yourself and want to claim your "T-mobile Tuesday" freebies that require pickup at the store, be sure to call ahead if they still have stock as I've noticed they run out pretty quick. This store is very close to where I live and I'd rather go somewhere else or at least get another sales associate that's will actually treat their customer with respect and actually care about helping them. Tall Asian guy sales associate tried to help me and succeeded to be rude. If you happen to see a guy with that description. Don't go to him. He will treat you like shit. T-Mobile has been my carrier of choice for my voice and mobile internet solution since at least 2011 when I first had the iPhone 3G. I do enjoy their consistency and wide area access to everything, unless you happen to be in Montana or West Virginia. T-Mobile has since been with me and my family and continues to provide excellent service - even with network outages from time to time. I learned recently that T-Mobile had taken over a Sprint store location that had vacated in the Kamehameha shopping center since 2017, so it was a great choice the come here during my lunch hour, since I worked down the street from there. This recent visit came on March 22, 2018, where I just needed to buy a new iPhone. Because Pokémon Go recently had shifted its technology to only use newer iPhones with iOS 11 capabilities, my now old iPhone 5 was considered obsolete for that particular game. It was already old tech, so I decided to upgrade to an iPhone 8 and treat myself to a better iPhone while continuing to play the game, among other considerations. So yeah, I was here at this T-Mobile store instead of the one in downtown Honolulu, since the location was perfect and I was amazed that I could pick one up, like how I could pick up prescription medication at the drug store. It was cool to buy it and have it ready to go within 15 minutes of activation. I was happy with my purchase and the staff who assisted me was friendly, good, and quite knowledgeable. The overall experience at this T-Mobile store was good and enjoyable. It was interesting to be able to purchase a new iPhone and get it all ready to go within 10-15 minutes. The ambiance inside the store reminds me of any tech store that is anywhere around Honolulu. T-Mobile has been the carrier of choice for me and my family. Getting a new iPhone from them only solidifies that commitment to extending that relationship between customer and the company. I arrived here around 12:30pm on a brisk Thursday afternoon. The store itself didn't have much people around and those customers were already browsing the floor models as to what they wanted to buy. Me? I knew what I wanted and I got it in a heartbeat. The store itself was laid out beautifully, much like an Apple Store, but different. It made me feel warm and cozy, especially with all the fancy new tech being displayed on the wall. This T-Mobile store is located at the Kamehameha shopping center in the heart of kalihi. It's address is 1620 North School Street and the store is near the Baskin Robbins and the Kam Bowl restaurant side of the shopping complex. They accept major credit cards and you can pay your bill at the store too, versus mailing it in. Since this T-Mobile store is anchored at the Kamehameha shopping center, parking here is very good, usually. Just come here early enough and you should be fine. If you are like me, bus routes, 1L and 2, and 2L pass through the Kamehameha shopping center on a daily basis, stopping right in front of it. For the most part, this transaction was fun and enjoyable since they had the iPhone I wanted right there and then. While I waited 6 months till obtaining one, the wait was worth it and because I could still play Pokémon Go before 03/22/2018 without issues. All I asked was to purchase the iPhone 8 and they sent a dude to go in the back room to get it for me. I purchased the basic iPhone 8 with 64 GB storage. It was rose gold backing and white in the front. I decided to pay half of my phone there at the store, leaving the balance onto my T-Mobile bill. It was easy enough to have it billed monthly thereafter or pay the other half next month. Whatever works though, but the main thing is that I got a new iPhone and that's awesome! Thanks to the T-Mobile staff here at the Kamehameha shopping center location for making my iPhone 8 purchase a flawless one. The iPhone works flawlessly, considering that it is relatively brand new and all. While I don't consider coming back for a new iPhone anytime until maybe 2024 (6 years from now), best bet you would find me here at T-Mobile to shop for the best deal in wireless personal technology. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. 5.0 stars for the service and the ease of transitioning from my iPhone 5 to iPhone 8. Very very disappointed with the customer service here. The sales associate Trey was not helpful at all. I wanted to upgrade my phone and right away he told me that worldwide there are no available Samsung phones available for sale due to a chip shortage. So I said to him, "You're telling me that if I walk into any T-Mobile store here on the island or worldwide, that I will not be able to find a Samsung phone for sale???" He said yes and kept bobbing his head up and down as if he had nothing more to say and was just trying to get rid of me. I told him that is unbelievable and walked out shaking my head in great disbelief. After leaving that store, I called the Kaneohe T-Mobile store and spoke with Marc. Sales agent Miles was extremely patient with two senior customers. We wanted to compare rates and iPhone 12 offers, to add an Apple Watch and to learn how to use them. Miles explained our options and various plans. He didn't rush through explanations or demonstrations making us feel comfortable asking multiple questions and asking him to repeat so we could take notes. He helped us setup and sync the watch, new phone, wireless earphones, and iPad. Although he spent half the day teaching us how to use our technology, he was never impatient and always willing to go slowly. Miles explained in layman's terms so seniors like us could comprehend. Wow I got zero help at this store from a T Mobile rep. Usually a good store but if I could give zero stars I would since I got zero help.

It's unfortunate that I have to give Tmobile Kam Shopping center a negative review.. I purchased an Apple Iphone device and after 20 days to be exact, the phone is already giving me so much trouble. After charging it for several hours it'll lag and die out in 5 minutes. We came to find out that the battery is ready to explode. The edges of the phone were cracking and the battery has swollen up. This phone belongs to my 14 years old niece, that I gifted for her birthday. Imagine if this device exploded on her? After speaking to one of the rep and manager, there is NOTHING they can do but for me to run to Kahala Apple store for an appointment. Seriously I paid full price in their store (no financing whatsoever) and they cannot do a replacement? Why don't they coordinate with their apple supplier? This is very inconvenient for me and I still believe that Tmobile should be held accountable for this device that was sold to me less than 30 days ago! read more
