can't believe I never noticed Xin Spa before! I was shopping at the new grocery store in the…read moreshopping center when a lovely woman approached me, handed me a business card, and let me know they were located nearby. I booked an appointment for the very next day -- and I'm so glad I did. I had been dealing with a lot of upper back and hip pain. My massage therapist, Lucy, was absolutely amazing. She was intuitive and seemed to know exactly where my body needed attention without me having to say much. I get massages regularly, and this was one of the best experiences I've had. The spa is very clean, professional, and welcoming. I love that the staff is all female -- as a woman, that made me feel especially comfortable and at ease. They do require appointments (I don't believe they take walk-ins), but the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of work they provide. I booked a 90-minute massage with hot stones, and it made such a difference. My muscles were relaxed, my body felt less tense, and I walked out feeling completely renewed. This will definitely be my go-to massage spot from now on. Highly recommend Lucy and Xin Spa!

I had a $10 off coupon so the total came out to $173. They strongly pushed us to pay with Zelle. I said I did not want to do that so they charged an extra $10 to use a card. Sure that is their policy but the whole thing felt pushy from the start. My sister in law has chronic pain and told her masseuse multiple times to ease up on the pressure. The woman did not listen and continued using very hard pressure. It actually left my sister in law bruised which is unacceptable when someone clearly asks you to stop or lighten up. Before we could even leave they stopped us and asked us to tip. Normally that is fine but after pushing Zelle so hard we assumed the money was going directly to them. We also already paid a lot and were just trying to leave. We decided to tip $26 total which is around 15 percent each and honestly more than we felt the experience deserved considering how my sister in law was treated. My sister in law was rushed while sending the Zelle and accidentally mixed up two numbers. They would not let us leave until they received it which is how we realized the mistake. While we were fixing it the girl at the front desk literally called my sister in law a liar. Completely unnecessary and very unprofessional. After they finally received the tip Lucy said "$26 for a 90 minute massage?" I apologized and said we could try to pay more next time. She said it was okay this time but next time we need to tip more. To be fair Lucy actually gave me an amazing massage. She clearly knows what she is doing. But the pressure to spend more money the Zelle situation the way my sister in law was treated and the comments about the tip made the whole experience uncomfortable. Tip should either be included or at least not demanded at the door while questioning customers about the amount. Small businesses using Zelle is not the issue. The issue is not letting customers leave until they tip then complaining about the amount and calling someone a liar over a simple mistake. That is just poor customer service

I had a failed attempt at a massage from another place (see my review for Lotus Health & Wellness…read moreCenter), and when I looked around the area for other massage parlors, I found Harmony. Their Yelp info said they take walk-ins, so I called and Susan told me I could be seen right away. I showed up within ten minutes and she greeted me in a friendly manner, then showed me the pricing. They do have you pay up front, which I was a little concerned about, but it ended up being amazing so my fears were unfounded. I am SO glad that I found Harmony because Susan's massage ended up being one of the best I've ever had. She listened to me when I asked for more or less pressure, and was very thorough in her techniques. I was having tension headaches for a week or so before seeing her, and after leaving I felt like pudding (and still do, days later). I will definitely be back. I will say this as a side note: the music playing, while relaxing, was one single song on repeat. If you're someone who pays attention to stuff like that, it may be a small annoyance, but the massage is worth it. ;-)

I called on a Friday morning to see if they had availability for 5 massages that afternoon. They said to come on down they will fit us all in. We were so glad we made that call. The door was locked and there were no cars in the lot, which made me nervous, but I was early so I just rang the Ring doorbell. No one answered. I peeked inside and it looked closed (only lights I could see were the ones around the giant lobby mirror), but there was a sign saying everyone was with customers, so I didn't panic. 5:10 - still no response when I rang the bell, so I tried calling the number. I got a voicemail. 5:15 - called again, still voicemail, then I rang the doorbell like ten times, but still nothing. (It's a Ring bell--shouldn't someone be able to see that there's a customer at the door?) I waited until 5:20, but at this point, I was boiling hot because it was 85 degrees and they have no shade anywhere in their parking lot. I was worried I'd get a sunburn. I was also pretty upset by this point, as I had a feeling they'd forgotten about my appointment. I ended up making an appointment with a different spa down the street (shout-out to Harmony Massage & Spa for taking me on such short notice and helping get all those knots out, I highly recommend them!), and while I was in that appointment, Aracieli from Lotus called and said "I apologize, I had a mix-up with the time." In today's day and age of phone organization and calendar reminders, that just doesn't seem responsible to me. Not to mention, I received THREE reminders about the appointment in the days leading up to it. I guess they don't receive the same reminders that their customers do? I can't speak for the quality of service, as I received none, but if you book with these people, I HIGHLY recommend calling at least 1-2 days before your appointment and confirming with an actual person that someone will be there, because if you check their reviews, I am not the first person this has happened to.
