Incredible pedicures. My daughter & I went to Apple Nails for her birthday without an appointment and experienced a power outage throughout the Community, and we ended up having the best service and fun experience. Since they did not have power the owner used hot water to place weighted heat neck pillows and weighted blankets due to no heat while we received our pedicures. Apple Nail and Salon was our FAVORITE choice for mani-pedi for YEARS. After today, we will NEVER go back. The service was terrible. One of us got cut so short it caused an injury, the other one got a shoddy gel application that is peeling immediately. We both got tip-shamed for withholding gratuity to the tech that caused harm. Placed a heated neck roll on my shoulder and gave me a lap pillow. I'm already in heaven. Nails are trimmed. I'm ready for the cuticles remover but we go to the metal pusher, then a cheese grater on the calluses, some scrub and the pumice and and exfoliating pad up to the knees, rinse and a long massage foot and calf, hot stones and towel. I wasn't upset at first until she decided to take a phone call instead of getting her finger off mine ASAP since it was fucking super glue. I ended up just ripped my finger off of hers. 2. owner put a couple of my acrylic nails on crooked. Best manicure I've had! I called the salon for a 2:30 appointment and when I arrived, I picked my color and was serviced right away. Joy was outstanding! The $15 manicure included a neck warmer, hand and arm massage, scrub, lotions, lavender oil spray and a hot stone arm and hand massage. If that wasn't enough, while my nails were drying, I was given a back massage with hot stones too. Run, don't walk, to this salon! The salon didn't smelled of nail polish either. I was 39 weeks pregnant, went in for a pedi and was looking forward to it bc I'm on my feet for a living and finally was done and officially on maternity leave. They put me with a girl that very visibly had no idea what she was doing. She cut me over and over again with the cuticle cutters and the girls next to her were telling her what to do step by step. The real tip of the iceberg for me was that I asked them to pick a color that matched my toenails. They picked a color that matched, but charged me extra for it at the end saying it was a premium polish... however NEVER mentioned this to me prior. Total snake move. I tried to protest this extra charge, especially since I was beyond disappointed with my experience. They wouldn't hear of it, tried to offer me a loyalty card with extra stamps on it. I was so disgusted I handed it back to them and told them I'd never come back. I was so upset and hormonal, I cried when I got in my car. So NOT the experience I was looking forward to having to treat myself before having my baby. read more

These ladies do an amazing job!I've had Blanca do my gel manis a few times, and she does a great job. She takes her time and is very detail oriented. They also give hot stone, shoulder/neck massages while you're soaking off gel polish or waiting for your nails to dry...so nice and relaxing!‍ Also, they don't remove gel polish on your natural nail with an electric file; they soak and scrape it off. So many other places have ruined my natural nails by using an electric file. So glad they don't do that! My one recommendation would be to play something else on the TV. They usually have the news on, and I'd prefer to watch something more relaxing like HGTV or the Food Network. read more

Such great service. I came in as a walk in on my birthday. My husband and I were accommodated right away. The selection of colors was vast. Very clean chairs and bowls for the pedicure. They used hot stones on my legs, which felt amazing! I don't know if that's typical with a pedicure, but it certainly set the bar high. Then while drying my toes under the lights, we got hot stones on our shoulders and back! It was truly heavenly! The women that worked there were so kind and cheerful. Beautiful souls. Never will I ever give this place another cent of my money. The owner literally did what she wanted with my nails. Making it MORE EXPENSIVE then it should have been. And when we told her she was doing it wrong she put her head down and kept going. I asked for oval nails, she picked her own shape. She did not double coat the polish so it's see through will BUBBLES in every nail. I have pictures. She used a different blue for the design than the one she used for my other nails. And my nails are wavy. She didn't use enough coats at all. I also asked for gel and she gave me dip! The OWNER JOY should be named misery at this point. The poor girls that work for her are trying to keep up with her. She's a mess and all over the place NOT paying attention to her paying customer. I wish there was someone above her because she needs to go! Then to try and get a good review she gave me a bracelet with a M&M charm (mind you I'm 26) and forced it on my wrist even though I said it was too small and she looked at me like I was nuts for having larger wrists! read more

So, I've gone to this salon when they were in Eland Downe location and now at their new location. I was a fan of their treatment, and they do take care of you as far as extra massage sometimes during nails and afterwards. Nice pedicure, etc. However, I am pretty disappointed how Joy questioned the tip I was leaving. Her words to be exact "$10...that's it?" I expressed how that was more than 20% tip. For this reason, I won't be returning. And it's a shame because I did like going there, but "the true" comes out. I wanted to love this place, but I can't. The regular manicure I received was mediocre at best. Even though there was trimming being done, I still have all of my cuticles? The polish - a neutral, thankfully- was on the cuticles on a couple of fingers. My daughter got a gel manicure, and she had problems with the gel adhering the undersides of the nail to her skin. Been coming here for 2 years and now I need to move on. 2 times ago made a mani/pedi appointment for 1pm. Got there, place was packed. Sat along with 4 other 1pm pedi appointments for 45 minutes because they only have 4 nails techs who were either working on other appointments or walk-ins. How do you book 5 appointments at the same time if you only have 4 technicians. So at 1:50 my pedi STARTED. At 2:45 still hadn't started on my mani yet. Told the tech I needed to be out by 3:30. The owner then proceeds to tell me if I was on a time table I should've come in earlier. WHAT? My appointment was at 1pm. 2&1/2 hours should've been PLENTY of time for my appointment it's not my fault you didn't start for 50 minutes PAST my appointment time. And as all this is going on she's telling walk-ins to come back in 20 minutes! Really??? And now, I sit again, feet in a tub at 1:28pm when my appointment was for 1pm. So this will be my LAST time coming here unfortunately. read more

Warning Long Review, but probably worth the read: I will not be returning. I went In with acrylic on my nails and asked for them to be removed and get gel put on. First of all, anytime I am here multiple people work on my nails. Due to this, I don't know who to tip and frankly feel the need to tip both, well, so it becomes costly. BOTH women left remnants of the acrylic I was asking to be fully removed on several of my nails and painted the gel on top making it look like my nail. (You could tell after looking closer at the un-natural thickness of my nail) The whole experience felt messy and low quality in terms of acrylic removal. And I did not notice the acrylic until AFTER leaving and arriving home. I did not want to fuss over this so I left it be. To no surprise, my nails then only lasted about 4 days before I began noticing chipping. I again did not want to fuss as I know I use my hands a lot. But by day 6 the acrylic part has chipped completely off. It was clear as day, acrylic and you could tell by how it left behind a rounded edge where it came off. When I went in to request a money return or a redo on my nails (this is something I NEVER do) I was initially given a hard time. They told me they would only redo the badly chipped nails and leave the others. After going back and forth as I prompted them to look closer and they would see further, more mild but, obvious chipping on other nails, they agreed to redo them all. But the entire time I could fell the women were talking about me in their native tongue as I was able to recognize some words, also the women who appears to be the manager or owner tried to blame me for the nails being ruined in 6-7 different ways and excuses. She would not seem to accept my explanation that SHE and her other staff had left behind acrylic all over my nail and skin which chipped off naturally being it was a month old. In addition to clearly trying to make the issue my fault, she did not take the original polish off and simply painted over them... now I've never felt the need to have my nails redone... so maybe that's how it's done but it made me feel extremely uncared for as a customer who tipped not only HER but also her staff member EACH well during my original visit on an already expensive service and I can now guarantee that my nails will again not hold! I will say they did not charge me as they originally said for the redo but many other factors made the experience to far gone at that point. Overall I wish I liked this place because they do a lot of nice complementary things but each time I've been I've not been happy with my nails, this time more than ever though. read more
