Every year I go to Milford. This is my second year going to Apple Valley. Last year was a good experience compared to what happened this year. I was in a party with 3 people and it took 35 minutes for dishes to come out which would've been ready in 20 last year. The restaurant looks the same but the live music was extremely loud. We asked staff to ask him to turn it down on multiple occasions and the music was still blaring. It is unlikely that I will return. read more

I really love this place! Great for families and friends. A really nice restaurant with a great selection of food and drink. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food was of great quality and priced correctly. We had the burger and a Cobb salad. Fresh and juicy burger and cool and crisp salad with some nicely grilled chicken atop. Our waitress was super sweet and made our dinning experience excellent. The ambience is nice and the place is large enough for bigger parties. New menu, new disappointment! AV started a new menu on Tuesday, we went there three days later (4/24/26). This new menu didn't have anything that our group of four go there for: Cobb salad, wraps, curley fries, etc. We all settled for hamburgers, which was disappointing on its own. Soggy roll, soggy fries, just a mess. And the price? $19!! used to be $14.75. We've been going there for many years, but we won't be back. A very nice family restaurant that also has a separate bar area The restaurant is in a small shopping area with some specialty shops and a miniature golf course. The restaurant has a good, comfortable atmosphere. The waitstaff is attentive. The menu is reasonably priced. The quesadilla is good and comes with a side of rice. There is a good amount of chicken in the quesadilla and the rice is properly cooked. The Mediterranean Wrap tastes good with a nice mix of flavors. If I could give zero stars I would l. I've been coming to Apple Valley over 20years. I went today for dinner with my mom and when I stepped away, Charlie the "bartender, manager or whatever his title" was beyond rude and unprofessional. When I called him out on it , he apologize and then shared the manager quit that day, the bartender didn't show, and the cooks almost quit as well. I ordered cheese burger sliders and when I took a bite, the beef was old and it smelt bad. I also ordered a strip steak meal to go which was $35 and when I got home the "medium well" steak was beyond pink and the steak was rubbery. I don't know if they were short staffed or what, but it took 15 minutes just to seat us, another 15 minutes for someone to take our order, and 50 minutes to get our food. I had a regular cheeseburger and it came with these really weird twisted potato wedges. Like a cross between a jojo and a curly fry! Everything was very good, including the service. It was fun to walk around the nearby shops after lunch although only two of them were open. read more

I had lunch there today because It is now under new ownership. Pleasant outdoor, shaded, seating. Lovely, attractive, young waitress who was nice and pleasant. The order was a Cobb salad, which was the worst I have ever had and I eat a lot of Cobb salads! The lets was very old and limp. The accompany dry chicken was terrible and the few shards of bacon were almost impossible to locate. When I sent the order back to the kitchen, I told the waitress to ask the 'chef' to eat it. I ate here today with my husband and toddler. Amazing food and service. Best food I've had out in a long time. I had the pulled pork sandwich. And husband had the Smokey brisket sandwich. Both were out of this world. Staff were very friendly and prices are fair. Highly recommend and will go back when we're in the area again. I'm sorry it's been so long since my last visit but I won't let it happen again. The food is even better than I remember and the service is great too. It's impossible to leave hungry. I ordered bbq again, I just had too. Their bbq is so good and the meat is also so tender. They have these fun twisty fries and that's an experience in itself. I had a sandwich, as they offer gluten free buns and was stuffed, I couldn't eat it all and had delicious leftovers the next day, This place has such a nice vibe too. First, the food was very good - I'll give them that. The desert was very over-priced in my opinion. A small/moderate slice of cheesecake should never be $14. The staff, albeit friendly, was not customer-focused or attentive. We never received any liquid refills. I've been coming to this place for over 15 years & it's in the worst shape it's ever been. The food is mediocre and has little thought put into it. The red "Sangria", which is one of two alcoholic beverages listed on the menu, tasted like cough syrup. The new ownership group must do better to bring this place back to its former glory. The wings here used to be the best you could get in the area. They are now advertised as jumbo, and they are, which is gross. They used to be a perfect medium sized wing and were always cooked perfectly. We asked for crispy and they were just barely cooked to the FDA standard temperature to be served in a restaurant. We ordered the pork nachos. the meat was very dry and flavorless. You could literally get better tasting "barbecue" from one of those Jack Daniels microwaveable pulled pork things from Walmart. We also ordered a chicken quesadilla which was awesome, albeit hard to mess up. That was the only thing stopping a 1/5 star visit. Overall, Apple Valley went from a place I wanted to go and take people to, to a place that causes me grief. How can it improve? Bring back the sampler platter that had potato skins, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and hot wings. Bring back the old bleu cheese. Bring back the original appetizers, burgers & pasta dishes. Make the wings crispy by default. Bring back the original steak fries. Bring back the buffalo chicken sandwich. I'll be back in 6 months to see if they've improved. read more

Don't let the current rating fool you. The food was outstanding. Went for lunch, had the smoked Gouda Turkey burger with coleslaw instead of fries by choice. The Turkey was fresh not frozen and burger was cooked to perfection. My other half had the beef brisket sandwich with slaw as well. Also cooked to perfection. A convenient stop on Route 6 heading south. What an interesting menu with lots of daily specials. We had some amazing beef empanadas for our starter, served with a sweet/spicy sauce and sour cream. I selected the turkey burger with Gouda and side salad. The Hubbs had the fish and sweet potato fries which featured a large piece of haddock. Personally, We prefer cod, but it was still good. The Apple Valley restaurant located on route 6 in Milford PA just a few short miles from NJ, is a hidden gem. Smoked brisket, hardy sandwiches, salads,, even the burgers are the talk of this quaint roadside establishment. First time in Apple Valley, many times driven by. Unfortunately it's still 50 miles from my final destination. Not only does the food stand out, but the wait staff is well trained, and knowledgeable. A rarity in today's food industry environment. The quality of the servers should give any real foodie an indication of the amount of pride that a family owned business takes when it creates a menu, and delivers a quality product . I stopped in at this family style restaurant for a late lunch, looking for little more than a basic bite to eat and a chance to break up a long day of driving. What I got was the best sandwich and fries combo I have ever eaten. The "sidewinder" fries were ingeniously spiral cut steak fries, perfectly crispy and just a bit salty. (I wonder if they used one of the apple peeler/corer/slicer contraptions?) The sandwich was "Tuscan chicken"--very flavorful, marinated grilled chicken breast with pesto mayo, lettuce and tomatoes on a buttery, toasted, thick-sliced, white bread. Food took about 20 minutes to come out. Good looking salad placed in front of me. Went to cut the avocado - rock hard. I struggled to cut through it. The bacon on the salad was the type you buy in bulk (not the kind you cook in your restaurant and crumble). It was gross, reminded me of chipped beef and was in huge clumps all over the salad. When the waitress came by to ask how everything was, I asked if they had some ripe avocado in the back. It was at that point that I realize how quick and easy is more important than quality here. So the waitress responded with " oh we buy the avocados prepackaged" Wait what? I looked it up. Yes, they come prepackaged and precut. You just pop it out of the plastic. I looked closer at the avocado and yes, you can see the wrinkles on the precut avocado from the vacuum sealed packaging. Again the waitress was fabulous and took %10 off the check as she could not get an edible avocado for me. I would NEVER go back here as I prefer fresh food. read more

This was a great find. Just wandering through and stopped here for lunch. Burgers were big and juicy. Best Blooming onion we've ever had, not greasy and fully cooked in the center. When you come to a hometown place such as this you should take advantage of their excellent burgers. And all honesty a small town restaurant such as this probably would not do very well with "enthnic" food such as potstickers however their burgers were amazing especially after a camping trip. The restaurant is close to a little downtown area that offers a multitude of shops such as candy shops, and outdoor store, and other food and eateries. All of the staff were quick and professional. On the day that I dined here, they were offering burger specials, cost between $12-14. Their prices overall are very reasonable. There is a bar located in the restaurant with plenty of TVs to watch sports. There is an indoor and outdoor eating area. I saw employees cleaning tables and the floor the entire time I was here so I felt very comfortable eating here. Not a bad little joint. read more

We've been passing through this area for over 30 years; last week my wife and I decided to stop at this place for dinner, and what a pleasant surprise! The moment you enter the place, you feel its history, its owners made sure of that by decorating it thoughtfully with local fishing and boating artifacts. The servers were very pleasant and helpful in answering questions about the menu. I ordered the Pollack and my wife ordered the thanksgiving turkey . We loved every bite. Update: Last dinner from my family was on the night of January 4th. Never have my family and I ever received such lousy service and the lack of management (a middle aged woman who refused to make amends to our shitty situation) of that night. First off, the place was dead. FOR A SATURDAY. So you'd think you get food fast right? Wrong. We weren't acknowledged right away, even though our waiter had only 1 other table. It took us 10 minutes until Billy came over. He had only one other table (a small family) he was taking care of... We waited and waited. No food. FINALLY, the food came out 45 minutes later!!! FORTY FIVE. WITHOUT an appetizer! The food didn't come all out at once either; 5 of us got our meals while my stepdad was waiting on his country fried steak. The food wasn't even hot!!! It was BARELY warm. Finally, Billy came out with his meal just as my stepdad got up to find a manager. He confronted Billy saying that we eat here all the time and never had a problem and the food wasn't hot. Billy then tried justifying saying that his meal is right here. Not offering to get the manager. None of the meals were comped on the check. The manager totally oblivious to what was going on during HER shift. OWN THE BOX. I only saw her once? Maybe twice? Didn't check on us or ANY tables when they're supposed to. Before my stepdad paid, he asked the hostess if there was a manager available. She said "yes" and then LEAVES us and disappears into the kitchen. Seriously? Rude. She comes back with the manager and my stepdad begins explaining how long it took to get the food, that is was hardly warm, the gravy was sludge on his plate, that the hostess left us when we didn't know if she'd return or not, our waiter not acknowledging us when we sat down... The rude woman DEFENDS the hostess and the waiter. Never once apologizing. "Great job, you just lost our business when we come here 10 times a year and spend over $100 every dinner." It's a great place to bring your family for dinner. The restaurant is pretty large and has two sections. On one side they have wooden booths and table seating and on the other side of the restaurant there is a full bar which is always busy, plus a semi divider which separates the bar to allow for more tables for diners to sit near the bar with T.V's to watch sports. That is the only place I like to sit. This place is kid friendly and most of the time family's with kids sit on the other side of the restaurant. This place has sort of a dated ski lodge feeling with the dark wood. They offer daily specials written on a chalk board that is dragged to your table and they give you menus. My usual go to food to start is their chicken wings with the sauce on the side which is perfectly deep fried and crunchy on the outside and the meat is still juicy on the inside. Their menu is decent and I've had their burgers and ribs and they were pretty good. It's a good place to go for a very easy and simple dinner with the family. read more

We passed this restaurant so many times and never stopped. Always looked packed and who wants to wait an hour. But THAT WAS NOT THE CASE! The parking lot was full, but the restaurant accommodates so many guests. We were immediately welcomed and seated and served timely. My husband loved his Thanksgiving Turkey meal and I loved my burger. The plates are so fun. They look kingly. Look at how my husbands soup was served! Since we were full, the raspberry chocolate cake was packed to enjoy at home. Waitress also let us know we should keep our receipt bc we will receive 10% off our next visit when we bring it in! Nice. Went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was busy, but not crowded. Apple Valley has a lovely outside dining space, with string lights and a pergola. It got quite dark by the time we left, so a bit more light out there could be good. The staff were all wearing masks and we felt safe. Our food mostly came out tasty and hot. My husband short rib melt was the only exception. It wasn't bad, just meh. They have a nice selection of beer and cocktails and obviously have a sense of humor, with Covid specialty cocktails like Cancelled Plans and the Covid Ninetini. Overall, a solid spot for dinner. This is my go to when you want a tasty, enjoyable, yet affordable meal. The service is generally perfect, and the specials are fantastic. I love their ribs and brisket! The Turkey platter with stuffing and mashed is so good, the apples in the stuffing is just how I make mine and its as good! The staff is always accomodating and service is quick.
