    Chicken Stir fry
    Darren B.

Recently reopened with new owners, the White Pine has updated its decor and menu. Absolutely everything that we had was as good or better than I've ever had. The Stir Fry in a bourbon sauce was incredible. The waitresses were very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Visit and you won't be disappointed.

    Crispy Duck. Delicious

I've had a home in the area for the last 13 years. I went during the last ownership and was quite disappointed. I haven't been back since. When I heard the white pine inn opened under new ownership I wanted to give it a try since I'm so close. I was not disappointed, first off the staff were more than friendly. The food was excellent. We started with the skillet Meatballs, and ravioli. Both very good. We then had the Mediterranean pasta dish and the duck. I personally had the duck and can tell you it was crispy and delicious. I can't wait for my next visit to the white pine inn.

Food was not good-tasteless. The little neck clams were uneditable. The sauce was grey. Would not recommend.

We chose to sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view of the Delaware River but three tables were occupied and three had the previous guests glasses still on the table so we chose one of the only three "clean" tables available. The table was not cleaned when the dishes were removed. The waitress said it was because the diners had just left? What does this have to do with the table being cleared of dishes but not wiped clean? No big deal the waitresses was polite and professional even if a terrible excuse maker and she wiped the table and took our order. We ordered burgers and fries. The place had been opened for the season for two days at this point but still managed to run out of French fries. I don't know how this is even possible when everything they serve comes with fries (strike two). A salad was substituted but Italian dressing was not available (very odd) we chose the honey mustard which was disgusting and tasted like watered down mustard which made the salads inedible. I'm not even sure the burger was made with real beef. I'd bet they ran out of beef too and gave me a soy burger. It was the driest most pathetic burger I have ever eaten in my 55 years and trust me I've eaten many. The drinks were tasty but I think they forgot to put alcohol in them or maybe they just aren't good at anything. With food this bad they really should get their patrons good and drink before feeding them. Seventy dollar lunch and it wasn't even worthy of boxing up and taking home for the dog.

Inside, the dining area is spacious, and tastefully furnished with a nice warm fireplace in the room. The bar area has plenty of seats and TVs for sports fans. Our server Angela B. was so very pleasant, and attentive. She informed us about weekday events held at The Barn (trivia, bingo, vinyl night) and what sounded like a great Brunch Sat/Sun. We will be returning to experience some of them. We started with "Barnachos" ($18) containing a generous portion of pork (carnitas) and the usual nacho components. No pump cheese here though! Yay My wife had a lovely Greek salad ($19) with feta, grilled chicken, olives, onions, etc. I had a Meat Lovers pizza: pepperoni, sausage, cheese, sauce, peppers, onions, olives, etc ($22). The pizza was served piping hot. The portions were all generous and the food was delicious. We were too full for dessert! The menu really has something for everyone but everything on it has a special twist to it. Check out the menu at: https://thebarnkitchenandbar.com/menu/#view-page. I am a real burger aficionado having traveled all around the country sampling great eats and the Outposts nails it 100%. There was live music here on the Friday night with a loaded and lively crowd, we bumped into this place coming back from an ATV ride. This being on the main drag on Rt. 97 but for us in the absolute middle of nowhere. Other than going rafting or a drive up Hawks Nest this is NOW our monthly destination to get to die for burgers.
