This store is located in the Westfarms mall. Not the best Apple Store, but convenient. When you enter this establishment, you can tell how busy it is since there are people in every corner. The store is nice and has pretty much every Apple product currently on the market. It was a little difficult to get some help even though there were many employees walking around. We went in to find a case, and almost ended up with the wrong one. We finally got some help from one associate. While we're checking out, we are interrupted by another associate asking a question. so we had to wait until that conversation was done and finally got checked out. The place seemed a little disorganized, but that could be expected since every single person seems to have an apple product. If you're visiting the store, it would be best to know exactly what you're looking for before you arrive.

It's usually a madhouse! The Staff try to bring order to the madness via their iPads and ear pieces. Being at the top of the heap in technology its expected. Recently, on a purchase day for the wife, I recommended getting to the Store an hour before opening. That would allow for our usual "delay factor (10-15 min.)" and then time. It was a Sunday, opening time at 10:00 am. We arrived at 9:10, a queue had all ready started & we were 4th or 5th. Staff were inside for their pre-war game pep rally. Then, at 9:30'ish the gate cracked open. Two brave staff slipped under the gate and it closed quickly behind them. Face-to-face with the gathering hoard, they quickly and efficiently gathered information from each person or persons, such as us. Great method! At 10:00 the gate went full open and the Clash of the Apple Titans began. However, there was sense of order and balance on the beach front. Your name and need was all ready logged and you were greeted immediately by a pre-assigned technician. Off to business without waiting any further. Hats off Apple Staff. A game plan well played and fewer wounds suffered.

The gates are down, the sales crew is getting prepped, and 22 customers are waiting for 10:00.

Recently, my daughter decided to investigate a Cable free lifestyle. Yes, there are options, lots of options. We talked and she narrowed her field down to a neat list. At her request, we went to Best Buy. My role, moral & technical support. We were quickly greeted my a technician and got very knowledgeable advice on the latest WiFi router and Modem. Then the conversation broadened to Service Sticks and Devices (i.e. Amazon Fire, Roku, and so on). I faded back into the shadows with my daughter & the Best Buy guy's fast techie talk, comparing pros and cons of alternate service and options. Okay, I was no longer moral/tech support, but on the a cloudy track of learning. With me in tow, she made her decision and proudly helped her humbled dad out of the Store. With the Best Buy Guys help this became a painless process and after some initial upgrade costs, my daughter has made the transition, pleased, and saving on her monthly entertainment budget. I'm now looking forward to her and the Best Buy Guy to walk me through the fogged abyss and into the Cable Free Light.

The Best Buy Marketplace is perhaps the worst idea this company has ever executed…read more You buy a product for delivery on the Best Buy website. They may have it in the store, but you'd like it delivered. In small text it identifies some third party that is going to fulfil the order and delivery--but maybe you didnt catch that or understand what it implicates, afterall you're on the Best Buy website, not on Amazon. If you dont get the product, Best Buy tells you that you have to contact the third party. But you bought it on the Best Buy website! Let's say the product is on sale at Best Buy, and the product is going to be delivered by the third party, but they dont actually make the delivery... and the sale ends... Best Buy may be able to cancel the sale but they wont honor the sale price ... even though you bought it on the Best Buy website during the sale period! Best Buy literally tells you they match sale prices, but they dont match prices of third parties selling stuff on their website! As for returns, if you are a Best Buy + customer, you normally get 60 days... but with this stuff you get 14. I would not be surprised if Best Buy gets sued for this nonsense. They need to clearly say you are not getting the product through Best Buy, so different terms and conditions apply. But they don't. It's misleading based on their standard business practice. It makes me want to go to Amazon or Staples over Best Buy, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I'm trying to support a local Best Buy over Amazon, but if the purchase protocol at Amazon is more predictable, then that's where I'll go.

The staff was attentive where you're typically ignored at other stores during very busy times. "Pedro" introduced himself, asked the right questions and gave me some options. He was pleasant and was even bopping a little to the store's music. I decided on an upgrade to iPhone 11. Pedro said I should take the new phone home to download apple updates. He said it would take 40 minutes. I explained that I'd rather wait in the mall for the store to handle to prevent unforeseen problems. He was okay with that and asked me to return in 40 minutes. 45 minutes later, the store was packed and Pedro was with another customer but he DID look through the store's glass window to make eye contact and smiled. (Very important to me.) The store manager asked me if I needed help after I made my way into the store. Explained, Pedro was assisting me. When he was finished up with his customer, he checked on my phone and explained there were other updates downloading on the new phone. He asked me to return in another 40 minutes. I admit to being annoyed by the inconvenience and frustrated an employee that does this line of work every day should have known exactly how many updates and time it would take. The manager reached out to me. I explained why I was annoyed. He explained the phones ship from different locations in the world and some phones have more updates downloaded before arriving @ the store. The manager also gave me his number on a "post it" in case I had a problem. When I returned home, the phone said it was still downloading. It went all night. I had to power off and fool around with it to get it to finish. Good people, good service. I'd go back again. I'm leaving out one star because in my opinion, the phone packaging should be labeled with the software that has already been installed so we can access time expectations. Also, as mentioned, the phone did have the "freeze up" problem described earlier.

I went to Michael's in response to the printed invitation I received at the store a few weeks ago. Based on the advice given to me back then by Michael's personnel, I made sure to bring the documents Michael's gave me for the watch I purchased on November 19, 2011 for $375. The appraised replacement value certificate from Michael's states $525. Attached are copies of these documents. The watch has never been exposed to any elements, still works perfectly, and is in the same condition as the day I purchased it. I was only looking to sell it because: (a) I received the invitation from Michael's, (b) I wasn't wearing it very often because the watch face is a little small for me now that I need reading glasses, and (c) I totally trusted that Michael's would offer a fair (although not good) price for it. I understand they need to make a profit. The Michael's gentleman who looked at the watch and documents today started out by saying "the problem with these watches is ..." and proceeded to tell me how it would cost Michael's at least $200 to have the watch reconditioned for sale. I immediately recognized that he was setting the stage to offer me next to nothing for the same watch that Michael's sold to me as a valuable and timeless treasure. He offered $75 for the watch, or the value of the 18K gold in the watch (which he said would be less than $75). When I mentioned that I was thinking of buying a new watch at Michael's, he said that he might be able to give me more for my watch depending upon which watch I would be buying today. He started to get up out of his chair so I could show him which watch I was looking to buy. You can probably guess what happened next. I left the store with my watch and documents, and have no plans to shop at Michael's ever again.
