On Mondays during football season from 4pm to close, Applebee's offers $6.99 burger and fries. They also offer half off appetizers during late aftenoons and late nights, twice a day. You would have to ask about the exact times because I'm not sure when they are exactly. The burger is a burger you choose off the regular menu. It's a pretty great deal but they do not offer unlimited french fry refills anymore. That kind of sucks because Applebee's fries are my favorite of any other. But what's not to enjoy about a restaurant style $6.99 burger and fries. They are competing with all the fast food joints now!!! It's the neighborhood bar and grill where staff is always friendly. I typically enjoy the 2 for $20 special for selected menus to include an appetizer, 2 entrees and dessert! Makes for a great date night for the beau and I especially when karaoke is thrown into the mix. If you just dropped in for fun and drinks they usually have a good selection for half off of appetizers and drinks after 9pm. I deducted a star because of the service the last couple times. Again staff was friendly and it wasn't super busy but somehow we were completely neglected. On one occasion the waitress brought our drinks and came back 20 minutes later for the order. It was wrong but I ate anyway. When the check arrived it too was wrong and we were charged individually for the 2 for $20 special. After I tired of waiting for her, I took it to the manager who corrected it. This past week was a joke. We were seated and I waffled on my choices for 30 minutes before we even met the waiter. He apologized and explained that his section was in the other side of the restaurant and he was given the two tables in our section at the last minute. I opted for the Crosscut Ribs but gave up halfway to give them to my dog. I guess in the time he was attending to other guests my food was in the warmer drying out. They have the three bones like a riblet - which I hate because it's awkward eating them and carrying on a conversation without looking like a vulture on roadkill. Applebee's is a big family favorite but that doesn't mean they are perfect. They have made many mistakes but none of which were a big problem. Today my friend and I got two Classes chicken and broccoli Alfredos. This dish is our absolute favorite here but when we got home and sat down with our food it was not a chicken broccoli ALFREDO it was a chicken broccoli SOUP with noodles that used to be long enough you'd have to spin them on your fork now being 3 inches at most. It's like they put in the chicken, broccoli, and soup in the bowl then there a few noodles in with it. We were very disappointed with is. Let's start with my family and I drove back home from Atlanta (2 1/2 hour drive). We saw Applebee's was barely busy tonight (we were starving). We had a group of 6 and a baby. We waited maybe 20 minutes. There were two parties BUT Mind you we noticed a 6 top empty. Finally the big party leaves and then another as well. Ordered online and was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The staff had a smile on their faces and very polite tones in their voices. Quiet atmosphere with low key music and lighting. I sat at the bar waiting for my order and was offered a complimentary beverage while I waited, which was great. They apologized for my wait and were extremely polite and courteous the whole time. What can I say? Everything better when Mimi is bartending. I use to not want to go to Applebees for several reasons. Food was one but it is better. The quality of the steaks got better. Drinks got better. Service got better. I still think portions for the price can be a little sad. If you aren't getting the 2 for $20 or happy hour appetizers, the tab can add up quick. I've just experienced the poorest service ever. I tried to order online first. It wouldn't let me. Decided to drive and pick up the food. Parked asked for a menu, took them 20 minutes. Never got it. I paid, gave her a tip, and left. I was traveling, so I nearly exploded when there were no eating utensils in the bag. I wanted to drive back just to get a refund, but I had to leave. I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp, but I have no idea what that dried up piece of chicken with three shrimp and a pinch of sauce on top of the chicken was. The potatoes were bland and crunchy. I also ordered the Spinach Dip, which was fine, but all of this for $30? Plus, I had to eat it with my hands and no napkins? No. Don't visit this location. Service was rude, ie. counting tip in front of our table and huffing loudly and complaining to friends. The 2 for $20 meal really didn't work out. My friends meal was O.K. but my chicken was charred and burned and dry so I asked for their Asian Chicken Salad Togo because initial delivery of meal took so long and checking back in on food quality made my date and I feel forgotten. They brought my salad out to me with THE SAME chicken breast from meal returned, just tried to hide it by shredding. So in conclusion, go to one of the other two Augusta locations. read more

For a couple beers and 2 entrees you are looking at 30 bucks easy. The inside feels very chain like as in its clean and nondescript. They have added touch screen ordering to the tables which i an only guess was to make things even more impersonal and reduce the servers required at the same time. Seeing this we sat at the bar. And we still got slow impersonal service. The american standard burger was supposed to come with bacon lettuce cheese tomato and onion. Opening the bun all was seen was the cheese. The manager assured all was under the cheese. Yeah my eyebrow went up as well.Taking a bite you could taste bacon but what was odd was no bacon crunch no bacon bite to it at all. As for the other toppings no way was it under the cheese. I mean come on the lettuce tomato and onion is hiding under that single slice and even if it was who does that. What was determined was the sauce was bacon flavor with no real bacon being on the burger. So in all the food was ok. The big problem is lieing. That burger was not made correctly. I can't say enough about the service our family received tonight at Applebee's. Outstanding is an understatement. Our server was extremely friendly the entire time. His name was "Mello" and even our kids enjoyed him. Our drinks and appetizers were brought out quickly and our glasses stayed filled. The food was great. This applebys is very busy! They did seat is in a decent time. The utensils were not clean. We had asked for a cup of boiling water so we can ensure our utensils were clean before using it. Denied service to the disabled! I came into the restaurant when they were not busy, probably 15-20% capacity. I requested a table for 5. I was brought to a hightop. I informed the hostess that I needed either a table or booth since one member of my party was handicapped and could not get up to the hightop. She told me 5 people couldn't fit in a booth and if I wanted a table I could be seated right away but wouldn't be served for a long time because that side of the restaurant had a large party...not quite sure the logic behind that one. My husband and I ate here a couple months ago, the service was not the best however there was only one waitress working there and she was also in charge of the bar area so she tried to make sure everyone was taken care of. When we ordered our drinks, I went ahead and requested an appetizer.... it never came. An hour later our food comes out, still no appetizer or drink refills. My husband ordered his steak medium-rare, they brought it out well done so he sent it back. They bring a new steak out and it's completely raw, with blood on the plate and everything. The service was adequate. I was with a party of 3 total. We were never asked if we wanted refills (I guess because we only ordered water) and our server though friendly was HIGHLY annoying to me, calling everyone at our table sweetie, honey, or darlin'. She was younger than me (I'm 39) so a simple yes ma'am, no sir would have been adequate, south or not! This location was filthy and had multiple bad reviews online (which I only found out after being disgusted upon arrival). The tables were tacky and gross, the lacquer was peeling up apparently and I can only imagine how dirty they really were. The booth seats had food on them, the menus had all sorts of food particles and smears on them, and they at table computers were ATROCIOUS. They looked like they hadn't been wiped down since the place opened. I need to re-iterate here that there were hardly any customers at this time so there was no excuse for the dirtiness. The place looked old and dingy and we were advised by staff (thank God on a relatively overcast cool day) that the A/C must not be working again. The thermostat near our table read 84 and she had it set at 69! She told us it was not uncommon for it to stop working. Overall I will never return to this location. Given the review I'm giving and the reviews I read I am really surprised it is still managing to stay afloat. Oh and the entrances are graded horribly for cars. The angles cause you to scrape if you have to drive in straight and even if you go in on the angle! You can do better Applebees! read more
