They hosted a family friendly karaoke night, so we decided to check it out. It's right off the road, so when you see the sign, you can turn right into the parking lot. We walked in, and didn't plan to get any food, we just went to the area where they were doing the karaoke. They had couches over in the area, so we just sat there. As soon as we sat down, one of the staff members came to me and said, "Next time, you need to wait to be seated." I told her to speak to my dad because I was just following his lead. I guess she spoke with him, and he told her that were just there for karaoke, not food. I loved the atmosphere for karaoke. Everyone cheered each other on, no matter how good or bad they sounded. It was really cool. I loved the way everyone kept signing up to sing and the DJ was helping along. My mom and brother did get drinks, and the bartender was distracted by a few of the songs being done, but other than that, we had a great experience. read more

As far as reviews go I am going to be fair and say we stumbled in here. Everything was a mixed bag for us. The food was okay. The chicken wings were pretty good, although high priced. The sandwich was well priced, but also only okay. The sweet potato fries were really good, and the kid's meal was really a good generous portion. We came here on a whim after taking our dog to a dog park down the road, and were pleasantly surprised to see such a nice outdoor patio with great covered seating and plenty of space. We can around noon on a Monday and there was about 6 other tables inside but just ourselves on the patio. And the tables were impressively clean for being outside! All though I didn't take pictures of the inside of the restaurant, they have cute little corner hangout spots for larger groups it seems, or if you're just taking it easy. The waitresses were very friendly and they even brought out water bowl + water for our pupper. If this is your first time here, definitely get the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese on top, it DELISH, and it's great to share among 2 people but you could do 3 people. My Bourbon Salmon + broccoli + pasta was very tasty and had some really amazing flavoring. The salmon was cooked perfect as well! We will most definitely be coming back and trying more! read more

I had the GUINNESS FISH & CHIPS$14.50 Guinness beer battered fried cod fillets served with fries and Bleu Cheese Slaw. DELICIOUS. Crispy, crunchy and just flavorful. For food, beer and entertainment, this is the place to be. I ordered 10 wings, home made potato chips and a beer. The wings were delicious and well cooked. Remember to order them with their home made blue cheese dip. The sauce is thick and chunky. It sticks nicely to your wings unlike other watered down dips. The potato chips are also home made. They're cut thin and crispy. These barbecue flavored delights were gone before I knew it. All the above were washed down nicely with one of their large assortment of beers. Was visiting Augusta on a hot dog tour and ordered to-go from Top Dawg Tavern. The woman who took my order was a bit cold through the ordering process. They have a variety of hot dogs and the hot dog dinner comes with two dogs but you can't mix the varieties between the two dogs in the dinner which seems extremely strange. Charge me the price of the most expense one. Charge me more for mixing it up. But just saying "we don't do that." Is a strange policy. I asked for one of the hot dogs to not have onions. Both came with no onions. We got the pretzel appetizer that was listed to come with beer cheese and honey mustard. It was only served with the beer cheese. The rest of the food that we got was just ok. I doubt I'd return to the Top Dawg Tavern. read more

Stopped in here as a quick stop on a roadtrip. We usually get lucky with the local hole in a wall places. However, we didn't get lucky on this one. Ordered chicken tenders (listed as a Top-Dawg favorite) it even says they're lightly breaded. Turns out they are pre-battered frozen chicken strips. Very disappointing...how difficult is it for a restaurant to hand batter and fry chicken. Just as disappointing was the buffalo chicken sandwich, it was also pre-battered (it was a perfectly shaped frozen factory created chicken breast) Top-Dawg should be embarrassed to serve products like these. I want to just say we had a great server. And I am upset I forgot his name. But my boyfriend and I came here for lunch during a week day, we enjoyed our drinks and food was pretty good. Ordered the flounder and sweet/spicy shrimp with onions rings and blue cheese coleslaw. Highly disappointed. Fish was very heavily breaded, that's all I tasted was breading. Onions rings tasted good but they were hard due to being breaded in panko. Panko doesn't belong on onion rings. They should be light, airy, and crisp. Literally nothing about this place was "top notch." I saw the pretty terrible reviews online and decided to give it a try. We all have different tastes, right? Yikes! We figured we'd start with appetizers first. If we loved what we got we'd order entrees. For appetizers we ordered wings and the ahi tuna. The wings were fine. I probably would've received better ones at Hooters. The ahi tuna was absolutely awful. It tasted like it had been pre-cooked then placed in a warmer. It was very dry and the outside was pretty gross. We ate maybe 3 of the pieces total. Needless to say, we left after finishing our wings and beers. The service wasn't much better. Our server seemed nice, but the hostess not so much. Upon screwing we let her know we preferred to sit outside. It was a gorgeous night, and well, covid. We just preferred to be away from everyone. She kinda rolled her eyes and was huffy with the "okay" response. We certainly won't be coming back. Sometimes I'll give a restaurant a second chance. Came here during a highly anticipated UGA football game (against Oregon); Go Dawgs! As they were hosting a watch party with a really good beer bucket special. I was instantly impressed with the atmosphere and vibe. Really big dining area and bar area with tons of televisions so you don't miss any sports action no matter where you sit. We happened to sit right in front of the huge projector and was a great spot with great volume to watch the game/. They had plenty of beers on tap and I'm cans/bottles. The only complaint I had was they didn't have my favorite creature Comfort Tropicalia on tap but they did have it in a can. I really enjoyed their potato skins, wings (not pictured), and egg rolls. So let's just say I failed miserably in the picture taking. But we came here to watch the Dawgs scrub Oregon this past weekend. There were TVs everywhere so there is no bad seat. Which is perfect for a sports bar, box checked. We tried nothing but the apps so this review is for that and we enjoyed them all. The tater skins were cooked well, a lot of times they are over cooked and dry. These were good. We also had fries, they were also very good and crispy just the way I like them. The egg rolls were also excellent and flavorful. My favorite were the wings. They were crispy on the outside and still juicy. The way they should be. This place has really great food and some of the best atmosphere you can ask for. They had the baseball game playing and they even get MLB Network. We went here last night just looking for something new and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, and while there was a large party there, our waitress was accommodating and very friendly! It was clean inside and I saw people actively cleaning too! The root beer float was delicious, and if you enjoy Not Your Fathers Root Beer, you will love the float! The fries were fantastic, I love the super tiny fries. The boneless wings were good too! I often find that sometimes bones less wings are too hard but these were and were perfectly crispy. The teriyaki was a good sauce as well. It wasn't too thick or runny and has a good flavor. First visit and I read the reviews, some good some bad. Truth be told we went to World of Beer first because that's what the boys wanted (way over rated in my opinion) but they had a 40 minute wait and Top Dawg had plenty of tables available. Do people not realize it's there RIGHT NEXT DOOR or have never been and don't want to try it based on the bad reviews? I thought it was darn good! Prices are reasonable and the food was fresh and hot. The daily specials are awesome! Especially on Sunday.... the Man-moosa was SOOO delicious and it came with a basket of mini muffins. Well worth the money and tasty! We couldn't believe how many items they offer on the menu, more than most restaurants so there is something for everyone. Did not get five stars because it was a little slow on food coming out and they couldn't do the Philly cheesesteak with chicken... That would've been nice, but it was still good. Alyssa made sure to keep us informed on the food time and was very attentive. Props to her! Phenomenal beer selection!! Also interesting to read about the "Folds of Honor", super cool.
