The parking lot was busy but I was able to find a spot and we were seated right away even though the place was very busy. Our waiter, Tabb, was very nice and helped make our evening experience even better. We had several appetizers and all were good. Then we ordered a skillet with crab cake and shrimp in a creamy sauce made with crawfish. It was the star of the show! The band was good. Not too loud and they played a good mix of music. After living in Augusta for a little over a year, this is the place to go during Masters week. But the first time I went was last night. I saw they open till 12am and was with a friend. We came here for a quick bite and some drinks. We ordered 2 espresso martinis ($8) and jalapeño poppers. They have a wide variety of drinks and some aren't on the menu, so you might have to ask for some options too. Food and drinks didn't take too long to come out. It was empty when we went, but I've been told they can get busy during late nights. This place used to be an old Buffalo Wild Wings, so it's definitely giving a typical late night tavern/sports bar ambiance. The servers are really nice here and definitely very attentive. read more

Appetizers was Boom Boom Shrimp... Outstanding!!! What a great appetizer! We ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of tots and Philly cheese steak sandwich also with tots. The Philly cheese steak was delicious with tender, seasoned steak, peppers and cheese. The brisket sandwich was good however got a piece of fat cap which took away from the overall sandwich. Came here when we arrived the evening before The Masters. We were happy to see other patrons there and had fun talking with them at the bar. It was busy, but we were served quickly and efficiently, and the staff was very nice. The food was great, we loved the friend pickles and cheese curds. The Ohio State Alumni meets here on game day. Our group is seated comfortably at low tables which suits the older alumni. Service is friendly and efficient. They accommodate my request for cherry coke by mixing grenadine with a cherry. Awesome service. Prices are reasonable as the menu is diverse and interesting. The parking lot looked super packed on a late Saturday afternoon, but we figured we would still try to get in. No wait, and the place did not appear full. The service was very friendly, and the decor was "barish". The food, however, was delicious. We started with drinks - list in the photos. We opted for the Black Cherry Cider, and it did not disappoint. He got the mac n cheese with burnt ends (it could have had a few more pieces included in the dish), but the mac n cheese was rich and creamy, and the ends were tasty. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with a side of mac - it was HOT HOT and good. The only reason I did not give this a five-star review was the restrooms were disgusting - they smelled terrible and needed a good cleaning. Doc's has some great staff members. They are always friendly and seem glad to see me. They do a great job of remembering your typical order. The food is pretty good too. For brunch, try the huevos fundito. Two eggs with potatoes, chorizo, and a delicious sauce. I also enjoy the turkey wrap. If you want to watch sports, this is a great place to they also have trivia night and two nights of live music. Swing by, I'm sure you'll have a great time. read more

Great space with a vacation vibe. We tried the Carolina hot chicken sandwich. Excellent! My husband loved it and kept commenting on how good the coleslaw was. I had the seafood skillet. Who doesn't like a good brunch?! Doc's was recommended by a Facebook friend and I went for a birthday brunch with a good friend. The parking lot looked super packed, but there was still open spaces to park further in the rear. Walking into the establishment, there was lots of cheer going in because there was a football game on at the time. I was sat at a table very quickly and my waitress came just seconds later. (I love that) I decided to get the chicken and waffles with the unlimited mimosas. The waffles had a crispy texture and just the right sweetness, the chicken tenders were juicy, seasoned just right and went well with the side of gravy. If you're looking for mimosas, that MIMOSA LIKE BRUNCH MIMOSAS SHOULD, Doc's is the place for you. I tried both the pineapple juice and Orange juice mimosas and they both were a hit. If you like a sweeter mimosa, opt for the orange juice. The food came out quickly and we weren't rushed out like most other places that try to turn over tables quickly. This was a really busy place but our waitress was on top of everything. The Redneck eggrolls were amazing. Who knew you could put pulled pork in an eggroll. The chicken wings with blackberry jalapeno sauce kicked it all up a notch, and the burnt ends made a perfect trifecta. Excellent dinner. read more

So this is an online order remember that when reviewing it. We ordered the sea food skillet and could not find a description anywhere on line. Not even on their website. It was mediocre at best and very spicy. The crab cake was ok but far from the best I've had. I did enjoy the chicken strips and tater tots my son got. The cheese grits are lacking something, not bad bud bland maybe. The boom boom shrimp is just ok as well. The flavor is nice but again just missing something maybe a dipping sauce would help we didn't have one so that could be the issue. read more

Dock's Porchside is a big, laid-back spot that's super accommodating and perfect for a casual hangout. They do trivia on Thursdays, play good music, have plenty of TVs for watching a game, and allow dogs on the porch. Misty was our waitress and she was great!! It was Mother's Day so the restaurant was steady but not extremely busy. She was very attentive and made sure drinks were filled and answered any questions about the menu and made several recommendations. We have never been here since it changed to Doc's Porchside from Wild Wings. Same old great building. I had a pint of Blue Moon and had the bbq burger. My wife had the cheeseburger. She didnt rate her food that much. My burger was really good, basically the bbq sauce that it was smothered in was good. The service was quite slow and because my wife didn't rate her cheese burger I have given 3 stars. Would I go back - probably if someone wanted to go there. read more

Not impressed. Unless you like pork and fat in everything, I don't recommend. I was able to find fried cheese curds, fried shrimp, and cheese grits. The cheese curds were good; I've had better. However, the breading on the shrimp was terrible and the meat was spongy. The grits had a very floury taste to them, perhaps being thickened up with flour. The menu left much to be desired since I'm a fan of neither pork nor spicy foods. The atmosphere was fun, though. They had a Disney themed trivia game going throughout the restaurant. Had you asked me six months ago, I would have said Doc's has some of the best brunch in town- fantastic food, great portion size, plenty of options... the whole package. As of my last visit, however, I'm afraid this venue has lost much of its luster. The brunch menu has been truncated a fair bit- which by itself is no crime; a smaller menu should mean a more focused kitchen, after all. However, it seems that the menu isn't the only thing that's been pared down. The chorizo grits bowl, once a highlight of the menu, was served at about half its original size, with the usual creamy, delightfully rich grits being rather watery and a bit bland. This was the case for all my companions, who ordered the same dish, having raved about it before. It's hard not to feel a certain sting of disappointment when something that used to be exceptional becomes mediocre, and while the meal was definitely *passable*, it wasn't the same extraordinary experience that had us recommending it to everyone looking for a spot of brunch in the area. I'd love for them to reconsider the downgrades to their menu, and return to their previous glory, but until then, I'm afraid I can't recommend Doc's any longer. read more

Stopped here for Sunday brunch from Atlanta to Charleston. Place is big, warm and inviting. Our waiter, Hayes, was super sweet as he reviewed the menu with us. Lots of choices for lunch and brunch! Started with Pigs in a Blanket. These were pretty good, Maple Aioli wasn't my favorite though. I got the new Chicken and Waffle Sandwich and it was delicious. Chichen and bacon were crispy and juicy. Waffles were crispy and sweet. Again, not a fan of the sauce and prefer my waffles more savory but still a good sandwich. BBQ Pork sandwich was good but nothing to write your mama about. Saw the restaurant online and decided to stop in for lunch. The atmosphere was very inviting and the staff were super friendly. We were seated outside and although it was hot there were several fans which made it very comfortable. Our server WESLEY was so sweet. He was very helpful with food recommendations and was super patient with our crazy orders. He was very nice to us and checked on us very often. I thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and friend Green tomatoes. I would highly recommend dining here if you are ever in the area. I look forward to stopping by on my next trip to Augusta. read more
