It says Applebee's on the sign but it's not really. We went there last Sunday to catch the game since we are snowbirds. Thought it was strange that there were only three table occupied in the whole place and only one person at the bar. I asked the waitress if they could put the bills/jets game on one of the tvs and she said no I don't think so. We don't have NFL ticket here. Wow. That was a first for any Applebee's that I've been to. Oh well. We had a gift card so we ordered from the 2 for 20 menu. We got the spinach dip appetizer that we have ordered at many other Applebee's before. It came out with only half a cup of dip and no salsa. Which was clearly shown on the picture. Waitress response... oh that's a corporate thing we don't do that here. HUH??? So our dinner comes out and its Luke warm at best. The waitress says. Gee I got them right out in a snarky tone. She took them obviously put them into the microwave and brought them back. Mushy potatoes and onion strings. Yum. Never going back to this place!!! read more

We were so looking forward to eating out, but I have to say this particular restaurant was dirty. My daughter had a reddish blond pubic hair in her fries/metal, pre-prepared tray. I also noticed my soup came out in a less than clean bowl, and the fries tasted re-fried, and hard. The manager looked at us like. What? We have a female preparing the food. She took the fries off and the the meal with fries. I was disgusted. Not to mention the straws were put into the drinks and brought out. Excellent spot. Was hesitant to go back to Applebee's after a terrible experience at the Spring Hill location. But this location is spot on. Manager approached me right away made sure my order was taken care of and food came out in a reasonable timeframe. Will be back. read more

Came in for Lunch and the dining room is filthy. Wait staff is inattentive and poorly trained.

If one star was possible I would give that! We Found hair in 2 different plates. The manager copped our meal with The exception of the drinks (overcharged on those too). The waitress then got an attitude over me not wanting to leave a tip (she took the tip amount down to 2% on the kiosk and then asked if i wanted to leave a tip, i said no and she said "well that's great, well bye" in a very rude voice). She was slow at getting our drinks (4:30, maybe 15 people in the restaurant) and wasn't very friendly to begin with but after her being rude to me I'm over it. I do not recommend this place to anyone! Take your money elsewhere! read more

I am a foodie and only stopped at Applebee's in Brooksville Florida to eat with no intentions of writing a review or a blog on this restaurant. I ordered Bourbon Steak Medium Rare and without a doubt this was the worst steak in America . I'll be generous to say that they did a fine job with the ice water. As for the steak, it was absolutely without a shadow of a doubt the worst piece of meat I ever saw on a plate. It was as if Applebee's purchasing department found the toughest cow in the pasture, put it on a treadmill for a few months to get rid of any tenderness or flavor, and waited for it to die of old age. Then they took the sick joke even further and sent it to my local Applebee's, cooked it to a charcoal briquette and put it on my plate!. I sent the steak back and explained it was super tough and the whole meal had a horribly unpalatable flavor.The caramelized onions were crunchy and the potatoes were hard and had an ugly black color. I sent it back and they recooked the same steak making it even tougher than it was to begin with but now burnt to a crisp and obviously NOT Medium Rare. So I sent it back yet again and was sent a new steak sizzling on the plate that was super well done and NOT Medium Rare as I had originally ordered and just as horrible as the first steak . The management acted like they had done me a favor to take this nasty steak off my bill. I had ate at a Waffle House the day before and the Waffle House steak blew away the Applebee's steak .I have learned though a very reliable inside source that Applebee's uses prepackaged steaks that come in a plastic bag just like the nasty steaks the meat guys sell out of the freezers on the back of pickup trucks. So the bottom line is if you as a consumer are okay with eating meat soaked in preservatives and seasoned so much that you cant taste the embalming fluid style preservatives that are being sold at a premium price then Applebee's is the place for you and your family. However if you demand quality and freshness at a premium price for you and your family then Applebee's is not the place for you. I would suggest that Applebee's should be boycotted until they get back to basics and serve Americas family's the quality product they charge them for and promise to serve them on there misleading commercials. read more

I thought, may be one more try. Last time was at least fair. This time was the last time ever!!! For many years I managed restaurant's in the past, bar, kitchen, dinning room, and general manager. I could not tell if there was any type of manager here or not. It was totally unorganized. Waitresses could care less for their customers, except for their friends there. POOR service, POOR food, !!!! After watching carefully, I could see ONLY ONE waitress that could have EVER worked for me. The food was not hot and had little flavor.
