Food was not good at all. My ribeye steak was cooked three different ways. I ordered it med and one end was raw, the middle was med and the end was well done. I talked to the manager and he said well I'll let the kitchen know. I even showed him, he used the excuse that the burners are different temps. Then I showed him my bake potato, it was rotten in the middle. Yuke.... he said that happens, when they wash them and then cook them, there is times they miss some rotten ones. He did offer to get me a new one, but I said no. I need a to go box for my steak. Server did not come and see if we needed anything and never refilled our drinks. I love my local Texas roadhouse in Brooksville. I may go there on my birthday, which is coming up. They make it get on a fake horse and ride the horse. I love the steaks there. Always get the onion blossom when I go out to eat there with somebody this is probably my favorite steakhouse. I haven't eaten the ones that cost $500. I'm not that rich. read more

Our first time eating at Texas Roadhouse here in Brooksville. I have to say that they exceeded our expectations. The parking lot around the restaurant was full except for a couple of spaces. We parked in a spot that wasn't handicap allotted so I had a little bit of a walk to get to the handicap accessible curb. Thankfully there are plenty of benches outside to sit and rest when I became tired. The vestibule going into the restaurant itself also had seating for those waiting for a table. The inside had a very rustic, country feel to it with lots of wood on their walls and rafters. Their decor had horseshoes on the columns separating the rooms. Some stuffed animals decorated the walls - my favorite was the huge moose head above the entrance way. As soon as you walk in the hostess station is on the right side to sign in. Even though they were busy we were told our wait time was only ten minutes. I sat down on my walker right near the fresh dinner rolls pick up window. Let me tell you there is nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread to make your mouth water. We were seated at a booth in less than the ten minute wait time by our hostess Zaleigh a very kind young lady who offered to take my walker and place it out of the walk way so people had plenty of room to walk. Our server named Michael came over right away to introduce himself and ask for our drink order while giving us a bag of peanuts to snack on. We ordered unsweetened ice teas with lemons. Their ice tea was very fresh and not watered down like some places offer. For our appetizer we ordered their fried pickles with a choice of dipping sauce - either Ranch or their Cajun sauce. We hesitated for a moment so Michael suggested that we try a little of both. We agreed. A very nice sized portion of fried pickles and two dipping sauces came out in a timely manner. The pickle chips were warm, breaded nicely and not greasy. Both sauces were tasty and it was great to mix them together on the chip. They were very good - a great way to start our meal. For our mains we ordered the fourteen ounce Fort Worth Ribeyes(no bone) medium rare. I ordered mine with fried onions on top and hubby ordered his with fried mushrooms. They were cooked perfectly and were flavorful and so tender. We were impressed. Our steaks came with two sides. I decided to have a Caesar salad for my first side. It was cold, crisp and had plenty of shredded Parmesan cheese with a delicious Caesar dressing and a couple of large croutons. Great salad. My second side was their seasoned rice. It was like a rice pilaf. Rice was perfectly cooked - not under cooked or mushy - it was seasoned well and even had bits of onions in it. Also a solid side dish. Of course I cannot finish my review without talking about their fresh rolls. Soft, warm and smelling like heaven, the rolls were served with their "honey butter". It tasted more like a cinnamon butter compound to me but whatever you call it - they are fabulous. The staff here were friendly and very attentive. Zaleigh took care of my walker and brought it back to me when we were ready to leave. Michael checked on us frequently always with a smile. He had such a great personality! Aidan who is a manager stopped by our table and asked how everything was and if we needed anything. He was very kind and sincere that we were well taken care of. This use to be one of our favorite places to eat. I will say today April 28 at 3:10. My Husband and myself along with 4 other couples all walked out. The heavy manager made all of stand there for 15-20 minutes while the restaurant was 3/4 of the way empty. Then go to seat us on top of everyone we asked for a different booth a bit away from everyone and was denied. We bought $900 in gift card the last 2 years. Won't happen again. That manager is not a manager!!! Watch the video you will see couple after couple leaving. I've managed restaurants if a server is t there for their section and a person wants to sit there let them. Because customers pay the bills. We are now at Longhorn with 2 of the other couples That walked out. Very sad management. I heard the owner was away, sadly you left the place in poor hands. CONCERNS ABOUT HEALTH, SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT. My review focuses on service and environment, because I am genuinely shocked this establishment passes a health and safety inspection. My husband and I visited on a Monday evening. First impression: somewhat busy but not overly loud. There was no seating available in the initial entrance/waiting area, and customers were standing in line along a short partition that separates the waiting area from dining booths. Customers waiting were positioned directly next to diners, with no barrier beyond a low wall. HEALTH & SAFETY CONCERNS Most respiratory infections--including influenza, common colds, and COVID (which is still circulating)--are spread through aerosolized droplets from uncovered coughs and sneezing. There should be a glass divider or comparable barrier between customers who are waiting and those seated immediately on the other side of that short wall (who may be eating/drinking). As someone who had just been discharged from the hospital after a four-day stay, I chose this establishment as my first and only meal of the day. I do not want to unnecessarily inhale or ingest airborne particles from strangers standing inches away. It's concerning that this setup appears to be overlooked during health inspections, particularly during flu season. Some patrons may not understand or practice basic illness precautions, and I feel an obligation to share this concern for the sake of the community. Our wait time itself was reasonable--under 10 minutes. SERVICE Our server, Matt, greeted us promptly and offered alcohol, which we declined. He was professional but not especially friendly--he did his job. When he returned to take our order, we still had not been told where the menus were located. At that point, he pointed them out behind condiments near the wall. Once we accessed them, they were greasy and visibly dirty. He suggested a few appetizers from memory, left us to review the menu, and went to put in our order for grilled shrimp. We were never asked if we wanted dessert. While that may seem minor, it stood out--especially given how quickly alcohol was offered at the start of service. It gave the impression that some upsells are prioritized over others. Despite these issues, I tipped 15%, understanding service-industry wages. CLEANLINESS The menus were greasy and visibly dirty. If menus are not being properly cleaned between uses, there should at least be sanitizing wipes available for customers. Wanting to disconnect from our phones, we attempted to use the tabletop trivia/payment console. It was filthy, but I sanitized it. Ironically, the trivia redirected us to a QR code and back to our phones, defeating the purpose. There were also considerable delays between games that were not attributable to phone use. If this device is not regularly disinfected or able to function reliably on its own, it should be removed--especially since it is also used for payment. Trivia costs $1.99 plus tax. PROFANITY IN A FAMILY (?) ENVIRONMENT This is a family establishment, yet profanity was openly used in the dining area. A group of teenage basketball players entered. One or two leaned over the booth opposite mine and engaged in loud conversation with a waiter--apparently a friend. During this exchange, one of the players casually (and loudly) used the "f-word." I immediately said, "HEY!" There is absolutely no reason for profanity in an environment where families and children are present. The young man quickly apologized, as did another member of the group, and I thanked them. What stood out was that neither the waiter involved nor the manager--who appeared friendly with the group--felt it necessary to apologize or address the behavior. In fact, as we were leaving, that same group was seated at the booth the waiter had been cleaning. Both the waiter and the manager should have intervened or acknowledged the disruption. Their silence implied acceptance. Final Thoughts I would not return unless sanitation, environmental safety, and managerial oversight are meaningfully improved. read more

We come here often, and don't always put up a review. However. Our Texas Roadhouse rivals any steakhouse that we've been to across the country. 100 times better than Chicago. The service is great. The food is great, and it makes you want to go there often. If you've not tried it or you haven't been there in a while I would suggest you'd do it again. Food was good. Service was okay. I wanted to be fair and give it a 3/5 stars. 3/4 of the people in my party of four have dairy allergies. We called ahead clarifying the name and allergies. When we were seated we were served breads with butter. Simple mistake. Maybe they forgot. Then the salads and blooming onion came. This was uhm very very interesting. Cajun sauce had dairy so we asked for dairy free sauces. Cheese was in house salad when we requested no dairy products. The steaks were gamey and stringy. Hard to mess up a medium rare? Came out extremely red. Medium rare is like a light magenta ish pink center in the steaks. Over seasoned and the sides were bland. The lady was nice though. Appetizers: 6/10 Sides: 4/10 Steaks: 6/10 Service: 8/10 Accommodating: 4/10 Wait time was decent. I mean overall it's decent but definitely made my stomach ache for a bit. Their steaks are going down hill as far as quality. Usually there's no waste and they are cook to your liking but the last few times there has been a bunch of grissle on them and these are the Fort Worth ribeye. The prime rib is not the best has way too much seasoning (salt) on it. If they could take shorter time to cook another steak, like within 5 minutes not 15-20 minutes! By then your not hungry anymore from eating the salad and rolls before your main course and not to mention your spouse or whoever your there with eats their meal then your eating your meal by yourself while they wait for you. Couldn't order online as the website told me the rare and medium rare temperatures weren't available. Question and answer...what is the most popular steak temperature...MEDIUM RARE. How can a steakhouse not have that temperature considering the early time? We did choose medium which was a huge mistake because the medium wasn't really medium but well done! I managed to get down a total of 6 pieces and I just couldn't eat anymore as it was just too dry! Sides were perfect as usual but the meat could be used as new leather for my shoes! Y'all gotta do better. I have a love hate relationship with this place. The hostess brought us to sit at a table and the table still has drinks and plates from the previous group. Then, asked us to stand at the table and wait until someone comes to clean it. Clean the table and then seat your guest. This isn't rocket science. Next you bring us dirty plates to eat our bread! That is unacceptable. How hard is it to look at some empty plates and see they're dirty before you walk over to a table and set them down. DO BETTER! I will give them credit that my 8oz filet was good and this is my favorite steak to eat here. I've tried the ribeyes and other cuts and they just didn't come out as good as the filets do. I've never had a bad filet here. Ribeye is my favorite steak if I had a choice, but this isn't the place for a good one. The last ribeye I ordered here, I asked for medium rare and it came out severly charred black on the outside and pink in the center. The manager took it away and sent out a second ribeye that looked good on top but you flip it over and it was burned to a crisp. This is simply not paying enough attention to the grill. They apologized and offered a third steak and I declined and just ate my salad and sweet potato. The manager comped the meal and I appreciate the free salad and potato. If your customers need to have a third steak cooked, you should be having a talk with whomever is working the grill. Maybe they did have a few words with them, I dunno. Other than the dirty plates in the beginning, our server was attentive and she did a good job. Well, I did place myself on the waitlist for 4 people. I got to the restaurant and encountered the girl in the lobby where you wait and mentioned that I am here from the waitlist. She could not find me and asked for my confirmation number which I showed her. She said I was in and I will get a text message when my table was ready. I waited and waited and a party of 15 came in and entered the restaurant for their reservation and was told to wait in the lobby area because they had a party of 5-6 waiting.
