So far the service at this restaurant is subpar. The inattentive staff took over 15min just to take our order. Then when they did bring the drinks they set it right next to our baby who grabbed the water and dumped it all over her. Then I tried to flag down a staff member to get a mop that I got a deer in the headlights look from the staff. So I grabbed a heap full of their napkins and had to clean it up myself. Then after cleaning it up they showed up with mop. Needless to say that there is a reason that this place is half empty on a Saturday. read more

Stopped by for a quick late lunch. We heard that they had some good lunch specials. My parents got the soup and half sandwich for $6.99. They both said that theirs were very good and tasty. The bacon on the chicken club sandwich was cooked perfectly. I ordered the $8.99 oriental chicken salad. When it arrived, I said to the waiter that I looked like it didn't have any dressing on and he said oh no, it's down at the bottom. You just have to mix it up. I mixed it and mixed it and there was no dressing in there. He came by and I asked him for dressing. He walked away 10 minutes later we flagged him down and asked for dressing again. Finally 15 minutes after we got our food I got my salad dressing and was able to eat my salad. Unfortunately, my parents were almost done with their meal. We sat at the table by the hostess desk and the music was so loud we could hardly carry on a conversation. They had what look like four waiters which I guess wasn't enough because we were there an hour and a half just for a quick lunch and we arrived at 1:30.. For dessert we did have the dollar brownie bite, which was a very small brownie and a little scoop of ice cream. A perfect ending to a meal for a dollar. when we got our bill, they charged us $2.49 each for the ice cream when it should've been $1 and they charged me twice from my $8.99 salad. Friendly staff and lunch was servers in a timely manner. I had the sirloin and it was cooked to perfection. Nice music too!

Came here the other day, it took 30 min to get our drinks and another 20 for the app. saw the server all of 3 times. horrible.

We love Applebee's but the relatively new location in Brownsville is horrible! Bartender sweet & chatty but disappeared constantly. Several draft beers out, salad bland, new Bourbon burger a joke. Couldn't tell there was meat between the bun, no mushrooms & cheese non existing. Manager either over heard or told by bartender about "suggestions" (since place was empty) & came out & threw things around while glaring at me then stormed off. Place is drab, no signage, cold & uninviting. read more

Came with family, tables were dirty, our kids food was fine but the food we ordered was cold and definitely was not fresh. Will not be back

This is a fairly new restaurant in town so we decided to try it out. Didn't take us long to be seated. Waitress didn't take long to approach us, but once the order was taken that's when it went down hill. We rarely saw the waitress again (I had to hunt her down a time or two), I went without a refill for a while because we couldn't find her, and the food noticeably a long time to be served. My steak was cooked wrong; asked for it to be medium rare but got it burned. When I asked the waitress if I gave her the wrong info she verified and no I did ask for it medium rare. And to top it off, my daughter and wife became ill afterwards. Definitely will not be coming back. read more

Got here at 9:25pm they took 35 min to take my drink order or even acknowledge the table . Keep in mind this place only had 4 tables seated . When they finally decided to bring my order it was wrong !!!! This place needs better management . read more

The appetizers were good, but the entrées is where it went down hill. The plates were hot but the food cold? Obviously microwaved . Had to be sent back to the kitchen twice and still cold. They took it off the bill but still . Couldn't even have a nice family dinner. Overall very disappointed . Do better Applebees. read more
