I came here on a Saturday night since Hooters had no tables. It was pretty crowded but we were seated pretty quick. Right when I sat down, I started remembering why I stopped coming here. The menu sucks here! There's really not a lot of variety available. It's pretty much either steak or chicken. Since it was Saturday, they had the drink specials. I ordered a blue motorcycle and my bf ordered a sweet tea. My bf sweet tea was super watered down and he opted for a lemonade instead. He also ordered an appetizer when we put our drink order in. I decided 10 mins later that I wanted an appetizer and ordered one from the kiosk at the table. My appetizer came out about 10 mins before his did. My drink came out and it tasted pretty good! No complaints there. Also the waiter assumed that we weren't going to order anything else because I had to tell him that I wanted to order an entree. Food came about 20-30 mins later. The steak was cooked well done and tasted ok. It was pretty bland and had obviously no seasoning. The four cheese Mac and cheese looked and tasted like it had no cheese. The potatoes were the only great thing. My bf ordered and burger that was way too hot and burned his mouth. After paying for the meal using the kiosk, the waiter asked if were ready for the check...so ummmm yeah. My last visit was about 6 months ago and nothing changed. Not sure how to start this review. We got seated quickly and the waitress brought us drinks right away. Food came out fast, staff was friendly. Ok now all the positives out of the way, the food was bad. They need to change the oil in the frier because the onion rings, chicken tenders and the fries all tasted exactly the same. Also it was a freakin daycare. There started off with one staff member with a kid in a booth playing on a phone but by the time we were leaving there were at least 5 kids in their that came in with workers and no joke one of them was running around with no shirt on. DO NOT EAT HERE! The general manager, Ellen, needs to be fired ASAP. There needs to be better management in the prep area as my burger came out with paper inside of it. When asked why it was there, the manager explained that this was the paper that comes between the cheeses to keep them separated. What a joke...If you want paper in your burger, this would be the place to eat. I would advise to skip this location. read more

Wonder why the parking lot is not full? Usually enjoy eating here but the waiter was more hung up on hanging around his family members that were eating there than doing his job. Brought me a dirty knife, mushrooms were suppose to be with the chicken; I had to search for them, when I found them I felt sorry for the cook so I sent them back since they had so little to work with. Forget about ketchup with this waiter, brought a bottle out and proceeded to apologize for there being so little in the bottle. Food was good. I'm a previous waitress so I pay attention a lot. We sat at the bar, keshia was our bartender. Did not speak until I had to get her to look our direction. It was about 6 others at the bar. Not busy AT ALL. I Ordered a drink that I never got. Wasn't even bothered enough to ask her again with her bad attitude. Food came out in a good time. Her bar was a mess. Mind you, not busy. Just goofing around. Not once checked on us or re filled my water. My husband and I came here for some good food to kick off the New Years... but left unhappy. We started off with appetizers which was wings... The wings were LITERALLY re heated re fried and was the absolute worst wings I've ever encountered... My husband got a burger which was Burnt! I got ribs which was dry with barely no sauce.. also the four cheese macaroni barely had any cheese on it... not to mention we didn't even have silverware to eat with... will never come back to this location again read more

I came with a group of 5. Our server was great, she was very attentive and friendly. We were promptly served beverages, refills, appetizers and our main course. Our food was hot and tasted good (a little more flavorful and it would have been great.) We hardly see service like that anymore. read more

I swore off Applebee's 15 years ago for poor service and understaffed locations. Thought the Burlington NC location had won me back with two good experiences in the last 7 weeks, but then they reminded me at 8:15 PM last night why I quit supporting them. Two wait staff were running a room that was closed off for 1/3, They don't employee a hostess to greet you or seat you so it took 4 mins to be acknowledged, then I was offered a high seat at the bar area which I don't find comfortable so I asked for a booth, but all were occupied. The one waiter that finally tried to get a booth cleaned for me, ended up running tickets and forgot about me, so I will return the favor and forget about ever going to Applebee's again. read more

Came here very hungry after a late night out. The place had a friendly bartender and was able to place my order for carryout really quick. Food came back and it tasted great. Exactly what people want to have. I gave an extra star because the bartender was so friendly. read more

After going to this spot i remember why i havent been to applebees in probably more than ten years. If you have a large party this location has a terrible setup that doesnt allow for it and gives excuses like we dont have a waitress for that table or we will seperate your party to seat you faster. If we wanted that we wouldn't have come as a group and with all the empty tables in their as we waited over an hour and a half to be seated for applebees of all things i mean really your food has never been worth more than a 10 minute wait. The food was mediocre at best. Many of us had burnt food and some of it was just spit it out and send it back bad but we were over it and didnt bother. Next time someone suggests applebees i wont be going. I can do without this crap for the rest of my life read more

I went here one Thursday night with couple of friends for Karaoke night. We had a blast! I won a dinner for two from winning the karaoke contest. It was so much fun. Tha manager on duty was really really nice. They make you feel at ease. Totally coming back on Thursday to try to win the contest again! Thumbs uppp :) read more

I had not been to an Applebee's in 12 years and I now remember why. This has to be one of the worst restaurants in town. The food is devoid of any flavor whatsoever and even gave my girlfriend a stomach ache. I ordered a rare sirloin with broccoli. The steak was severely over cooked, had no seasoning on it and tastes like an old shoe. The broccoli was clearly microwaved when the menu said steamed. Might have been steamed yesterday, but it was definitely microwaved today. On top of the worst meal I've eaten in a couple years, they were having obnoxious redneck karaoke that night. Wake up Applebee's. Your restaurant isn't empty for lack of entertainment, it's empty because your food is terrible. read more

I wasn't expecting much but, we ordered chips and salsa and the chips were flimsy and weren't cooked all the way, even the second basket we asked for wasn't cooked all the way. Used to be my go to restaurant years ago but it has been a sinking ship the past few years.. only a couple servers here are worth tipping. I went today and all she did was bring us the food and drinks no checking in or anything else horrible service. Although our server was wonderful, that didn't make up for the problems experienced during our visit. The food...I ordered the Jalapeno-Lime Shrimp. I did not taste ANY jalapeno. The lime was quite overwhelming. The zucchini was burnt in places. The rice was still hard...not done AT ALL. The atmosphere...It would be really nice if this restaurant had a baby changing table in one or both bathrooms. At the table next to us was a family with two children in diapers. When both children needed to be changed, the woman tried to take the children to the bathroom (as you should). When she found no changing table, she brought the children back to the table and CHANGED THE DIAPERS right at the TABLE!!! Applebees MUST do something to avoid parents having the chance to change babies in the dining area! If they don't...the Health Department should investigate! VERY unsanitary!!! read more

My husband and I have been to many Applebee's because we travel a lot. The customer service here was horrible! Our server never acknowledged us. We had to flag her down to place our order and then we never saw her again! She was clearly prejudice! She chatted up every other non black customer so she got no tip! My experience at Applebees was one of the best restaurant experience I have had. From the time that I walked in until I left it was great. The hostess was very enthusiastic and had very positive energy. I understand that it's apart of the job, but everybody isn't as positive about their job as they should be, but I have to take into consideration that she didn't like my sister, yet she stayed positive even though she only had to deal with us for two minutes. I can honestly say if I had to be positive to somebody I dislike I would probably have lost my job, but I guess she put that kill them with kindness into effect. What really made me excited about my trip to applebees was my server. He had me laughing the entire time I was there. He treated me and my sister like we was his friend or something, and I never met this guy before in my life. I went during prom season and he was like "Why would you take your date here, Wouldn't you want to go to Olive Garden, Red Lobster, or Arigatos". He was just hilarious. Then I order the chicken penne and he was trying to persuade me to get the blackened chicken pasta even though he made a great case I still stayed with the chicken penne, but I promise him next time I would try the blackened chicken. My sister order one of the sizzler plates with chicken, shrimp and potatoes. Our food came quick and it was nice and hot which is always a plus, but there were only eight other people in there so it wouldn't have been an excuse if my food did take forever to come. My pasta was well done, very tasty and it was very cheesy. My chicken was nice and tender as it should have been. Even though my dish was really good I don't feel that my chicken match the portion of my pasta. I had all this pasta and only a few strips of chicken ,and I don't feel that I should have to order more chicken it should have automatically came with more. My sister dish smelled very delicious and looked spectacular. I ate one of her potatoes and I thought it was burnt. In my opinion I think the sizzler plate burnt the potatoes so they should have put the potatoes on top of the chicken or something instead directly on the sizzling plate because it over cooked the potatoes. She liked it though so there was no reason for me to complain. When I got the check I seen we wasn't charged for our drinks and asked him about it and he said that he know. I was very shocked about this,but very appreciative. You would think he liked me or my sister but he was happily gay. Sucks for us because he definitely was cute. Overall I had a great experience there I definitely would recommend this place for people who like to dine cheap and want to go to a nice quiet spot with great service, but this isn't a place that I would go to everyday. read more

My experience at Applebee's was very joyful. The atmosphere was very welcoming. When I walked in the hostess is generally nice and friendly, not a whole lot of waiting going on unless it is a crowded night. They usually let us choose where we would like to be seated, gives the menu and says have a nice meal. The restaurant is very spacious. it is very open, and I like that. The booths could easily fit three people, and there is a big rap around seating area. Plenty of room for everyone, not too many people. The bar area is nice, its is quite big as well. The only downside about the space is the bathrooms are small. There are only two stalls and one sink. It can get very cramped in there. For the most part it is a clean place to eat. I didn't see any trash on the ground or in the booths. We wasn't surrounded by garbage from the other customers who had previously come and gone. The dishes we used were clean. There was no food particles floating in or on our dishes. The plates were so clean you could see yourself in them. I really liked how the service is. The waiters are usually nice and helpful. They have manners, and they aren't all rude and eager to send you on your way. They actually have a decent conversation with you. If we had any questions about the menu they was there to help and on top of every dish on the menu. The servers was consistent about keeping our drinks filled up and checking to see if everything was ok. Even though I have ate at this restaurant a dozen times, I had at least one server who sucked. Maybe he was off of his game that particular day. I thought the service was great. I usually order the same thing just about everytime I eat there. My friend and I order the two for 20. It comes with an appetizer which we get the boneless hot wings. Man they are so delicious. Our server brought us out a basket of like 10 wings dripping in mild hot sauce and a side of yummy celery sticks. The wings was so hot I had sweat rolling off of me which is good for people who enjoy spicy foods. They offer other appetizers. I like to get the 7 oz sirloin steak which comes with the boneless wings. My steak was cooked just the way I like it. It was very tender and juicy. As soon as I cut it open the juice ran into my mashed potatoes and broccoli. This whole dish just goes together. The mashed potatoes was very smooth and creamy, and had a little bit of garlic in them. YUMMY. The broccoli was very fresh and had flavor from the steak juice. I don't think i have ever been disappointed in eating at this restaurant. There was a good amount of everything on the plate. I believe you get what you pay for in eating at this restaurant. Don't even know where to begin ! Service was friendly and did a great job ! With the exception of the management. Kenny who I believe is the assistant manger on duty had to be hands down the worst excuse for a manager i have ever encountered. After asking for him several times and only after taking about fifteen minutes to get to the table. He approaches my table with an attitude towards my friend and I right off the bat. Long story short he does not apologize for the situation which by the way my friend and i were in the right, which his staff even tells us. His attitude and demeanor and overall handling of the situation was without a doubt incorrect. I will never again visit nor patron this establishment again ! Or any other Apple bees for that matter. His appearance and attitude was completely unprofessional ! Your front door is the face to any restaurant and often gives customers an idea of what kind of feel they can expect to have during their dining experience. My and my husband walked into Applebee's and was very disappointed in the appearance of the waiting area. There is a small seating area where customers are to wait before being seated to a table. This area was covered with a spilled beverage and ice. I was carrying a four month old infant and a car seat and I could have easily slipped. We had been waiting for nearly five minutes and no one attempted to come and clean up the mess. I also noticed a wet cloth, used to wipe down the tables, thrown on top of the hostess station. This should not have been visible to the public. The hostess was standing their at the station, not having a clue as to the spillage on the floor nor the dirty wet rag that was sitting on top of her station. Even though it was a Saturday night, the place was not super busy and while the hostess was just standing there saying "hi" and "good night" to everyone, she could have quickly cleaned up the spillage and quickly placed the dirty rag away without any of the customers witnessing it. This was a turnoff. Nonetheless, I decided to leave without being seated and we went to another restaurant up the street and was so glad we did.
