Don't usually eat at any Applebee's... So this was first time in a long time to walk into this resturant. The new system is on the table and saw the adds for them but have to say was a little confusing. Not really good instructions posted.. Just asking to play games. Thank got there are still waiters and waitresses.. And it cost .99 to play.. Not each time you play a game..lol. And you can pay there too.. But still easier to pay the staff.. Experience was so terrible that we left without even finishing our food. My husband and I ordered the endless ribs, shrimp and chicken tenders. We both ordered the shrimp and the plates they brought us seemed like they were meant for children. We literally received 6 pcs of shrimp each and a small portion of fries. The 2 next times we ordered a refill, the brought out JUST 6 more shrimp each and a small saucer plate. We couldn't order more than six pcs at a time and each time in between it took literally 15 minutes in between. We would sit there with no food for 15 mins each. Not only that, we had to ask for fries. They didn't automatically come with them. Mind you, the Killeen location gave us a full plate of fries, Cole slaw, and almost 10+ pcs of shrimp, no matter how many refills we asked for. They were out of onion rings. no marinara sauce. Drinks took 20 minutes which were literally 2 sodas. No silverware until after we got our food. My husband and I just had the chicken oriental salad and the chicken quesadilla and OMG both were delicious. !!! The salad lettuce was green and fresh way better than the Applebee's where we live in California and the quesadilla was tasty. The restaurant is super clean. The workers were really nice. I was so impressed by this Applebee's I wasn't expecting much but seriously it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Service was pretty good, the waitress was as attentive as could be with a large group. The food for me was ok, the chicken was pretty tasty but the mashed potato's were cold and the shrimp just ok. The appetizer pretzel rolls and cheese were really good but the chips and spinach dip not great (cheese tasted watery). My husbands ribs were tasty. Service was great - but that's where it ends. Food was awful and thats giving it some benefit. Honestly I LOVE going to Applebee's, my favorite meal is the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken. My friend and I have been having your lunch specials for the last three months and we absolutely love the combo of the French onion soup and half a sandwich. The sandwich is amazing and so is the soup. The service is excellent and the staff is very friendly and is very clean. the winter storm is approaching. i was waiting across the street for my tires to be fixed so i walked this way. due to the storm, service is not able to be completed. i told them how i am waiting for my car to be done. they allowed me to continue to sit in here and the owner even offered me coffee. Showed up at 5:50pm. Had about 12 tables empty and told us the kitchen was backed up. Wait 25 minutes. Got our table about 630pm. Ordered drinks sweet tea for me and a mixed drink for the lady. Ordered queso and chips and they showed up before our drinks even did. My lady ordered boneless wings and I had a 12oz. Ribeye med. rare . Her wings came out cold and my steak came out well done. Ran out of tea and the waitress said twice she would bring me more and never showed up. Haven't been to Applebees in over 4 years and now I know why!! No effective manager walking through the crowd and it shows! The working staff seem miserable and are unfriendly. This Applebee's is getting less pleasant to visit. First, we walked in to two high school girls as hostess who both had a snarling look and you could hear the sigh of discontent that more customers just walked in and was disturbing them. Next we got seated near the bar where the bar tender was pulling double duties on the floor and the bar. We could tell she enjoyed the bar more than the floor because she was more attentive to the several people sitting at the bar than her tables. The one time she came by to change our drinks she was rushed. They should not have the bar tender pulling double duties like this when she is busy at the bar with customers. This is where a good manager would step in to help out by either moving staff around or working the crowd as a team player. When the food came out it was delivered by a woman who did not speak to us. She did not offer a good afternoon or hello or even an exchange of words to make sure the two plates went to the correct people. She dropped the plates on the table and walked away. This rude encounter would have had me say something to a manager if one was around, but no one came by or was visibly walking the floor at any time during our visit. We did finally get a chance to ask the same lady who dropped our plates off to bring condiments. We will probable eat here a lot less in the future because this Applebee's is more stressful to experience than I care for. I go out and spend money to relax and be happy. This was not a happy visit and previous recent visits here have not been in the past. When we visit locations that are friendly and the staff make us feel welcoming we generally tip 50-70% (even occasionally up to 100%) of our overall bill, but not on this trip! read more

Jay(jeremiah) the waiter forgot to put our order for our main course and when I asked him about why it's been 40 mins he acted surprised and went to the kitchen. he came back to inform me that he forgot to put the order in and he was sorry. and i also noticed he did the same to another table earlier so that proves he incompetent to do his job. my husband and I had to find a sitter after working long days and we had the worst experience. we won't be going back. no wonder they have 2.5 star review. food and drinks was good but service was the worst I've seen in years. read more

The food was decent.   When another server leaned over me to help deliver my plate, I was suddenly whisked away into what I can only describe as what I imagine is the same whimsical pungency of the inside of a 1967 Volvo on the eighth day of a week-long Cold War surveillance posting, parked near East Berlin with nothing to pass the time but chain smoke and pray the KGB hasn't noticed the car. As I write this review, this particular Applebee's is sporting a solid 2.5 stars on Yelp, and I wholeheartedly concur with this evaluation.   If nothing else, we can sleep soundly knowing that we are able to eat fries fresh from under the warming lamp and cheer this establishment's dedication to carry forth the torch lit by those very same 2.5 stars. read more

First of all the workers are ridiculous, they whisper and stare the whole time. The only good thing that's actually a little bit appetizing is the wings and the rest of the food came out cold. My mother and brother were sharing an alcoholic drink and he is older than 23 and she still asked for an ID to a man with a full on beard. My mom ordered a margarita and while she was waiting on it for 20 minutes and it was sitting there unmade and my mom went up to the bar and made it herself. Once the worker came she looked at my mom and gave the most disrespectful look towards her with attitude whispering "oh my g*d" under her breath with an eye roll. Horrible service. Worst Applebee's I've EVER been to. We visit Applebee's almost everywhere we go when we travel. And we travel a LOT. This local bar ( & bar is what this one does, NOT food), has a pretty good turnover of waiter/waitress staff. But their abysmal service is just part of the problem. NEVER have we EVER received the items we almost always order, the same way. Case-in-point. The 4 cheese mac-n-cheese with honey chicken. This last order was VOID of ANY cheese. Brought it to the attention of the waitress (her FIRST DAY she tells us), and nothing was done!! They tried to sell us an appetizer that had been sitting in some sort of micro-burn warmer for God only knows how long, AND DIDN'T try to fix or amend it. I ordered a rack of ribs with fries through DoorDash . When we got the food we realized they were not even cooked fully through. They had burn marks on the surface as if someone through it on the grill to get grill limes for like 5 min an then threw it in a box with some sauce. I will never ever eat at this place again! To start we went and were told a 20 minute wait and it wasn't busy, empty tables throughout the whole restaurant. Our wait ended up being closer to 35 minutes and as someone who has worked in the food industry before there was no reason we shouldn't have been seated prior. Food: we ordered 1 adult quesadilla, 1 kids quesadilla, and one combo appetizer. Both quesadillas felt like they'd been sitting awhile and the cheese had basically rehardened. The kids quesadilla came with the yogurt and strawberries which looks very different from the pictures, there's only like 2-3 slices of strawberry. It was also supposed to come with tomatoes and lettuce on the side and didn't, when we mentioned it to the waitress she acted like she was doing us some favor by grabbing them even though it should have come out with the quesadilla. The combo app was DROWNED in sauce, and I mean everything. The quesadillas, mozzarella sticks, the whole plate was a puddle of sauce and everything was soggy. They did offer to remake the combo but I chose not to have it remade as our food had already taken awhile and everyone else had finished eating. read more

Wear my is less of a challenge hear than some other places around Killeen. Nice friendly staff working around the restrictions placed up them due to a virus with a 99% chance of recovery if you catch it. The boneless wings were nice and warm and crunchy. Had the Honey BBQ & Sweet Chili once the wings. The Garlicky mashed potatoes can use some more garlic to be able to taste the garlic. Beer on top was nice and cold. The lemonade was like water, the drinks were changed and she never remove the unused glasses from the table. The artichoke dip tasted sour. Horrible! Service and food was awful. (I made this account to give it the sucky review it deserves!) My husband's friend ordered the steak medium rare, and let me tell you, that steak was MOOING! Not only that, the food was nasty. She did NOT tell us that they didn't have the type of rice that went with our meals. No warning, she hands it to us and said "It's good, you'll like it." This is, by far, one of the worst food places in Copperas Cove. I ordered the "Four Cheese Macaroni" with honey tenders. The tenders were basically plain tenders with barely any sauce. The macaroni was somehow cold when it arrived, despite a warm plate. There was approximately 1T of sauce in the middle, also cold, and the rest was obviously dry pasta that had been sitting for a long time. While I would love to give benefit of the doubt since it's a Friday night, it wasn't even busy. There were multiple waitresses and not that many full tables. Maybe 3 tables to a waitress? I typically go once a month to Applebees, spending $50-ish dollars with my man. His meal was just ok with gristle on the burger. He asked for Mayo 3 times before the waitress decided to get it. Mind you, she had only two tables as far as I could tell. The appetizer was greasy and not remotely coated in the Cheeto seasoning advertised. In addition, she did not collect a single dirty dish. We had our appetizer dish still crowding the small booth when our entree came out and she still didn't take it. She would get refills and yet, leave all the cups. When asked for a side of sauce for the pasta, we waited 10+ minutes to receive a side of cold sauce. It doesn't make any sense. Every ounce of this meal was subpar. Service was nonexistent and the waitress hid in the kitchen, not serving any of her tables more than half of our time there. I say hid because she would walk out with nothing in her hands, 9 times out of 10. The food was cold and practically flavorless since I guess the price wasn't enough to put sauce? The ambiance was typical Applebees, so no complaints. 10/10 avoid this place, don't spend your money and time. Will not be coming back. read more
