Showed up on Saturday 12/6 to try this place out, should have read the reviews first to know that it was a place not worth the time of day. They had some sign on the door for a UFC cover charge of $10, I'm know nothing of UFC and could care less and just wanted to try some pub food but apparently even if you're dining in their establishment they're going to charge this few regardless. Would recommend having city officials looking into this practice because that seems illegal AF for a supposedly public restaurant. Also the attitude of the hostess leaves much to be desired as they could care less if you're there or if it's your first time, no effort is made to win you over. The food is always hit or miss. I've only gotten sick from the food perhaps only 30% on average. But the bar should be pretty simple. Why does the bartender have to argue with me about what a black tan is? It's pretty simple to Google. Why do you have to tell me that's not how we make it here. Here we always make it with Guinness and Angry Orchard. Not my last 4 visits. Granted not everybody has the practice or skills to actually have the separation of Guinness and Bass, or other Amber beer if you don't have Bass. This is a fun place to visit if you are in the Killeen area. It's a sports bar with a decent menu and lots of beer. The servers are dressed in kilts, including some of the guys. On Friday nights or at least today was Bikini day, so some of the servers had kilts and other bikinis. The service was really good. My server's name was Savanah. She was quick to get to my table and had my order out in a short period. I ordered the Gaelic Chicken. The chicken was soft and grilled. The gravy had mushrooms in it and was put over the chicken breasts and mashed potatoes. It was a good meal for a decent price. There are many TVs throughout, and each one has a different event. There are both high and low tables to dine at. There is also outside seating as well as many seats at the bar. I want to thank Savanah for her care. They'll stand around, text, and talk with each other for a long time before they check on you. You can be sitting at the bar for an hour before you get any service. Fix the way the food is prepped and cooked and this place can be a 5 star rated restaurant. I ordered calamari, Caesar salad and the 5 tenders with coleslaw. The calamari looked great when it arrived. The batter was fresh, crunchy and full of flavor, however, I developed a chiseled jawline with the amount of chewing it took to consume each ring. The tenders were dark brown. It wasn't because of old oil, so that's good, but they were very overcooked, couldn't eat all of the tender because a lot of the tender was overcooked, so a lot of the overcooked meat was torn off the get to the juicy parts. Also they aren't served with any sauce, I had to ask for sauce. As for the Caesar salad, we can end the review on a positive note. The salad was very good. Best Caesar salad I've had in a while, so kudos for the salad. Jen and Jess were my servers and they were very nice and professional. The restaurant appeared to be clean, and had a normal restaurant, pub like smell. When I arrived, I was not greeted, and to be honest, did not feel valued. Came here for a quick lunch last week. Over all it was good. Our server was ReAynna. She was amazing. Helped us with anything we asked, sat and talked with us, and made sure we were well taken care of. I had the blackened chicken avocado and it was great. What wasn't great is the fact that it was absolutely FREEZING in there. I'm not sure if their heat is messed up or what but I feel bad for those poor servers this week! I sure hope they have it fixed with the weather dropping below freezing. Our server was wearing a jacket but it looked like someone told her to take it off. Had bone in wings and split a hamburger. Both had been tasty. Karaoke night - which wasn't too loud for those (like us) who just wanted to eat and chit chat. Would go back. First time visiting this location (our last Tilted Kilt was in 2012 in Indianapolis.). We like to sit at the bar, but the bar was packed, so we were seated in the far corner at the front of the restaurant. We liked this spot as we had a little alcove without a lot of traffic, could see the front door area, and watch all the goings-on. First; some 'cons': We ordered a pitcher, which took a few minutes, which was fine, but had to ask for glasses. We started with some bone-in wings. We ordered 12, but only 9 came out. (There's no 9-wing choice on the menu.) We ordered blue-cheese, but got ranch. I was pleased to see carrot stick on the plate, along with the celery, since I prefer carrot, and never seem to get it anywhere when we order wings; but it was just that...carrot stick. One stick. So, I asked for a few more. We had to request plates. No less than three times, three different servers brought us three different guests' meals. (Perhaps the servers' skills are as lacking as their uniform fabric.) Bathrooms adequate but could use come TLC. A week after the visit, we noticed we were double charged for the meal and drinks. Now, some Pros: Our server, Nellie, was attentive and pleasant. For every issue we had, she cheerfully, and professionally, dealt with and solved it. The wings were tasty, as was the blue cheese! When we disputed a 5th pitcher, the manager came out and took it off our bill. David took care of the overcharge very pleasantly when I called. (Still waiting on the actual refund but that's the credit card company.) Karaoke was fun to listen to, and wasn't over-the-top loud so that we could still converse. Kudos on the recycled/recyclable take-home container (but eliminate the plastic bag). Cheeseburger we ordered was very tasty. Maybe a little over-done, but not inedible, and I don't recall if we said how we wanted it cooked. The clientele was heavy on men, but many women, and several families with young kids. Okay this place is a solid 2 1/2 or 3. Took about 10 minutes to get two draft beers. A little ridiculous but I must say they were cold so we let it go. Next we ordered mushroom Swiss burger and also a classic. The sides we got were broccoli and mac and cheese. The broccoli was way over cooked and tough and the mac and cheese the sauce was good but the macaroni was way over cooked. The burgers themself were cooked perfectly and juicy and that's why they're even getting three stars. The bun was soggy on the bottom, a total turn off and I also asked for no onions and of course they were on there. The total was $37.65 a bit pricey if you ask me.
