This was by far the worst Applebees experience I have ever had . I took over 10 mins to be greeted by the Host . Wasn't even greeted no hello or anything . Was sat at a dirty booth and ran off before I could ask for a booster seat . It then took another 10 minutes to be greeted by server . I ordered a sweet tea and it was HOT . Like to the touch as in you knew it was hot before you gave it to me . I ordered two appetizers the first one was the new chicken fries the fries was old and cold , no ranch on them or on the side , I had to ask multiple times . For my daughter I ordered chicken tenders and applesauce they brought fries instead which was fine . But my entree was the four cheese pasta with chicken tenders . I couldn't even finish this the pasta was cold as well as the breadstick and sauce was watery . Didn't receive my order of mozzarella sticks until after the meal was complete. I hated the whole experience. I don't even write reviews but I had to because this was absolutely HORRIBLE. The waiter Darnell was cool . They had him working in multiple sections and in the kitchen. My mother and law and I went here on Halloween night this year and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was all exceedingly nice, cheerful, and most of them even had costumes that were quite fun to look at. The food we ordered came out completely on point, and our waiter bent over backwards to make sure everything else was great as well. My only complaint about our visit was that the kitchen was extraordinarily slow, it did take forever for even the most basic thing to come out. Went in for lunch. The young lady working was very inattentive. I ordered coffee and she brought cold coffee. After receiving my food, she came to the table once. The receipt for payment was dropped on the floor and left next to the table when my food came. When I was finished, I had to take the payment to her because she was not coming back to the table. I gave her the payment and the receipt she had dropped, only to find out the receipt printed didn't print completely and my bill wound up being $10 more than what was on the original receipt. read more

Tried to eat at this location twice, and each time, the wait is 30 - 45 minutes. Literally 95% of the tables are open. When asked, they state they only have two servers on duty. My wife worked for this resturant along with my daughter. They were fired by the manager Brian who never even asked either of them their side of things . Instead he took the word of a teenie bopper who hadn't even been there 2 weeks. The resturant sucks for one. The floors are constantly sticky the tables are also sticky. Bathrooms have a an old piss smell. Food isn't as good as it should be. The employees run over Brian the manager all the time. You have teenager shift managers with no experience. Walk I. And expect to be seated right away with no one there you will still wait for along time. I won't ever eat there again ever. My suggestion is to find some where else to eat read more

Wow. This restaurant clearly doesn't care about making money. I came in with my family, just the three of us, and we were completely ignored. The host lazily showed us to a table, and for the next several minutes, servers walked back and forth past our table, and said nothing...(the restaurant was nearly empty, can't even blame it on a crowd.) After being ignored, we decided to leave. On the way out we told the host that no one bothered to help us and his response was "I'm sorry, have a good night". Cold beer, apologized for 86'd items including 2 draft beers & 1 of the daily specials. Food came out hot & fresh & promptly. Plastic to go Cutlery? Seriously? Let's talk about Cole Slaw. 4, maybe 5 ingredients = right? W/ my fish & chips I received a Plastic togo ramican w/ slivered cabbage & carrots. Yep. Cabbage & carrots. I ordered food online from here on. A Friday night I waited an hour to arrive as suggested. Upon arrival no staff are wearing mask, my food wasn't even started let alone done. When I asked the manager for a refund he told me I had to wait until Monday because banks are closed! Wtf? As I watch 5 customers come in and out with their food ! It was a Sunday afternoon and I called approximately 5 minutes before entering the restaurant to get the wait time. The hostess stated there was no wait. My mother, 93 year old great grandmother and I arrive and I was informed that a larger party had entered and there would be a 25 minute wait. I was floored and wanted to leave but didn't. The manager was a African American male that could've cared less about our discontent. Long story short the staff was horrible and it took approximately two hours to get our food. I will never patronize this restaurant again. To add insult to injury, the servers had the nerve to be speaking ill about how rude we were on our way out of the restaurant. Horrible experience AGAIN. I am a disabled veteran and frequent Applebees 4 times a week back in Michigan. Great stores compared to this place. I spend at least $75.00 a week and always get my veteran discounts. I was visiting my father last December and went to order my food. The rude manager told me they NEVER give military or veterans discounts. I made a complaint and the franchise owner called me to apologize and stated his manager was wrong. I came back today and a different manager flat out told me the same thing and he did nit care if I complained to corporate or not. I left me food and went to Olive Garden. I can not say enough positive things about Rich Archibald, who is the manager at the Douglasville Applebbe's. He has gone out of his way to help us when it's needed. My best friends meet us there (my husband and I) to eat every Monday evening for dinner. We just love the impossible burgers and endless fries. We came in and was quoted a 25 minute wait. Why not. Got sat at a booth that could barely fit a child. Got moved, fine. Took 15-20 minutes for our server to come over. When she did, she kept passing us and saying she'll be back. We ordered a drink that was advertised to have Tito's- had some kind of well vodka, definitely not Tito's. Sent it back, server was confused when I said it didn't have Tito's in it. Fine. We ordered the classic combo app, chicken tenders platter, and chicken breast dinner. App came out with the food, not the biggest offense. Our server was confused about the chicken breast, thinking my husband just ordered a chicken breast. This isn't a huge menu.... Fine, maybe she's new. My chicken tenders basket didn't come with fries. My husband had to read the menu to our server for her to believe us. She said her manager told her that the platter doesn't come with fries, just more chicken.... The menu says it does, no argument to be had. My boyfriend and I usually come here every weekend. The turnover rate for employees here is VERY high. We used to come see Anthony who was absolutely fantastic and we always requested him because the first few times before we got Anthony was very unpleasant. Unfortunately Anthony left and we've been back a few times. And every time has been utterly disappointing. The workers argue with each other in front of customers. It takes about 15 minutes to even have a server acknowledge you. Don't even bother trying to get drinks from the bar, every single time it takes about 30 minutes to get your drink. It's not even like they're busy, I watched the bartender visit with her friends and clean the floor and she had no drink orders and it still took forever to get my drink. The food also takes much longer than it should, 30-40 minutes on chips and queso?? Our waitress checked on us maybe twice in the 2 hours we were there. It's not worth it. read more

Having visited various Applebee's at least a few times, I know what to expect. It has always been good food for the type of place it is Last night, my boyfriend and I both ordered the Cajun Shrimp Pasta with Mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. He also ordered a side salad and a side of meatballs. The only things we enjoyed were the Mozzarella sticks and the side salad. The Cajun Shrimp Pasta was just gross. First of all the plates looked disgusting, like they were dirty. I'm assuming it was just some of the sauce that managed to get all around the sides and somehow dried there before the plates reached our table, I hope! The shrimp looked pale and white like they had been boiled and not properly seared. The whole dish was just drowning in the Cajun sauce which initially looked watery and gross. The seasoning was just some hard flakes in a cream type sauce. I must say this was the worst thing we ever ate at an Applebee's. We spent almost $50 on nasty food. We ate at the bar. My experience at applebees' wasn't the best. It's sad when you order and go pick it up and it's missing the side and bacon. I ordered the chicken bacon cheddar with broccoli. It was toss up between 1 and 2 stars, but opted for the 1 because this joint has gone down hill since I last visited (and I don't come here much). I know things are going to start off bad when we walked in and saw the whole wait staff at the bar eating and act surprised when customers walk in the the door. They all scurried about like roaches with the lights turned on, a server guided us to a table and the slow service began. Drinks and the appetizer came out fast, as expected. But then there was a long lapse of waiting.... and waiting.... We had ordered salads for lunch, my friend orderd a spinach with fruit and I had fiesta chicken with tomato basil soup. It took about 30 minutes to bring out the salads. Seriously, salads. The fruits in my friend's salad were still frozen, so much for freshness. I only gave it a one star because there wasn't a negative one. I went there to place a to go order. When I walked in, I was not greeted at the stand so I walked to the bar. At the bar, i sat there waiting on the bartender to greet me, but no happenings. I grabbed a menu from the bar and waited and waited. Got up to leave but realized the person I saw at the greeters podium when I walked in was not a customer, but a silent employee. She showed me a to go table after we talked, where I waited and waited, until a manager (assumed) asked about me. Fifty-six minutes later I got my order! I dined in last night for the dollar strawbarita's and the half off apps. I was a little weary because of the review rating, but I wanted those cheese sticks. The wait to sit was about five minutes, around 11:30 PM. This was not a problem, because the hostess was friendly, and the neighborhood painting's of the different school achievements etc, were great conversation starters. Our waiter, Tyler was very friendly and informative. After many years of dining at different Applebee's for half off apps, I learned that you can pay $1 to substitute the chicken for shrimp, on the quesadillas. I swear that was a game changer. I enjoyed the quesadilla best out of the 3 options (chicken, steak, shrimp). The strawberry margarita special was pretty good too. I had two of them and they had a good taste, even though there was a lot of ice in the cup, both times. My only gripe was the amount of time that it took to get the food and the check, so that we could leave. They do have the tablets, so that you can check out on your own and print a receipt, but this only works with credit cards. The long waits appear to be more of a staffing issue, than an issue with the server. The service was outstanding and our food was on point. I will definitely return in the future. read more

We have ate here a few times and each time we leave feeling disappointed. Every time we have been here, one of the items we would like, they will be out of. The service is ALWAYS slowwwwwww. We will get our drinks and then it takes a while to ever get the food we order, no matter how busy or slow they are. The food is fine but nothing special, the menu has a lot to offer and maybe that is part of their problem. They seem to be trying to cater for every possible taste and while offering a big selection of items sounds good, it seems to come at the cost of maintaining quality. The worst place ever and I mean the worst!!!!!! There was only one cook working on a Friday night and when I got my appetizer is when I got just a simple cup of water! NEVERMIND my appetizer was a appetizer sampler of which they sent me four pieces of boneless chicken nuggets on a huge saucer. Then my husband orders a $1 hurricane and they bring the wrong drink and gave me a non alcoholic drink and poured my shots in his glass! The waitress never took our order until we got done with appetizers and even then we had to track her down to say we were hungry and ready.
