I'm a long time Pool Player and Fan of the Game. I was once watching WPBA Legend Monica Webb in a match on Billards TV when the commentator said she owns her own pool room: Stix in Villa Rica. I was so curious I made the trip from Gainesville Monica gets 5-Stars for Stix Bar & Grill for having free pool all day Monday to Friday before 530 pm, a non smoking room, and great food at affordable prices. She also gets 5 Stars for serving a clientele of all ages and races here. As Bartender Mallory put it, " It gives the teenagers a safe clean place to hang out here when they could be getting into getting into trouble out there ." For free pool and good food and company all day like this? I don't think this will be the last time I make this trip. Was a great place to hang out until the pool league started taking every single table just about every night of the week. Really stupid.

Back in 2012 I was asked to be the house DJ, I quickly obliged them because they were long time friends of mine. The owners, come across as great people, until you start to work for them. Long story short, they could give a s*** about their employees or customers. After 3 years I was told that I could no longer play dance music that they didn't want 'them' in there anymore, they were of course referring to black folks. After that conversation I walked out after two-and-a-half years of being a keyholder, consultant and DJ as well as security and handyman The moral of the story is, they do not welcome a diverse crowd, they treat their employees like s***, they treat their customers like s*** and always want to play the victim when something goes wrong. I would not recommend working here, going here or even thinking about talking about this dump. read more

Full disclosure, I'm biased due to working for STIX for many years. Stix is home for a lot of people from all walks of life,including me.The food is great and prepared in a very well kept kitchen. Served up with care,conversation, and competence ! What stands out as a employee is the Owners/Managers are the minority for being women. I mention this because as a women in this industry it is incredibly beneficial. They always empower us, have our backs, and treat us as family. The support system here as a employee is like no other. Stix also encourages individuality to be expressed however we'd like.. hair, body modifications, and personalities! We always have the best characters working beside one another! The bar itself is taken very well care of with how diligently we all clean after shifts. Nothing is left untouched. Our pool tables are top quality and kept to a standard for pros at all times. We also cut no corners when it comes to handling customer care --when serving alcohol. We cut you off out of love, we ensure you have a ride, and at times we don't mind bring water and a cold rag to you if your hugging a toilet. Our guest are a great crowd to party with, and we have a great time. The atmosphere is energetic at night with dance music , and laid back pool hall vibe mixed with dive bar during the day. As a pool player we are paradise. We have tournaments, leagues and also sell pool products. ( however, we do not offer quarter slot tables. ) If you don't play pool you'll want to after on looking from the party section. It's contagious! It is no high end bar and pool place but if you are around the temple, villa rica, bremen GA area (and if .. if there is any place in between) then this is about the only place you can have a beer, hot wings, and play pool. I like: 1. the fact that there are plenty of pool tables 2. prices from the food, to drinks, to pool table rental is very reasonable. 3. The place is always clean (except of course on some very rowdy weekends ..which i havent been there enough to see if its an all-the-time happening) and the waitresses are very nice and sweet. 4. they most definitely have one of the best blue cheese. Dislikes? 1. Im not a big country-rock fan and this is mostly the kind of crowd that frequent this place.... but that's not the place's fault or anything. The space itself is good but the service there is absolute trash. I've gave it time after time to try and improve but ever new server has a bad attitude, forgets you exist, and forgets drinks you order and then expects a huge tip. You can't even go to the bar and order a drink that way because the main bartender there will straight ignore you too. How does this place not have any yelp reviews? We are on the way back to Miami and just picked an exit to grab a cheap hotel for the night. The yelp spots we called were already closed or closing by 10pm and we found this place by accident. This is a huge spot with a ton of tvs and maybe half a dozen pool tables. Tap beer selection is decent (Fat Tire makes me happy) and the food while typical bar menu, is better than expected. read more

Stoped by stix on a Tuesday for there 55 cent wings and a few drinks first off they have a lot of pool tables and plenty of people playing so if you want to play some pool this is the place to go I started off with 10 hot wings there were crispy and tasted really good but not quite hot enough for my taste next round I got 10 blazing and they were awsome flavorful and just the right amount of heat would definitely recommend read more

I only gave this one star because I could not move forward without doing that. When in this afternoon for a drink and an appetizer with my sister, we sat at the bar because you generally get better service there. The young lady tending bar couldn't be bothered to make eye contact with us and we had to ask for menus, which I've never had to do before while sitting at a bar. She took her orders and returned a little while later with her food, which most was good. We did have a problem with our fish and chips at the fish is not cooked completely and asked for it to be cooked again. The girl took it and brought it to the kitchen and about 10 minutes later a young man brought it back out and set it at the end of the bar, but this time it was shift change and they were at least five young ladies behind the bar. The fish that there for well over 10 minutes and then the girl finally grabbed it and brought it to us and said here's your fish, in which we politely told her that we did not want it because it been sitting at the end of the bar for 10 minutes. I stopped in on the recommendation of a guy pumping gas at the Flyin J. Being a OTR Truck driver I asked where there was a place close for a bunch of wings and a few beers. He said Stixs and something about a woman poorer shooter owning the place.. Now I eat wings all over the country and j drink beer in just as many places. Both were excellent at Stixs.. Naked and sauced were the wings, but a bit on the smaller side, and the beer was cold. Got into a good conversation with the Bartender, nice younger lady. When I asked about to owner, the big guy at the end of the bar turned out to be her brother. Had more great conversation and laughs. The service was great. Patrons were friendly and at no time did I ever feel unsafe, I even slept in my truck in their parking lot all night. When I left, I put the place in my GPS, I WILL BE BACK!! read more

The worst customer service, ever. If I could give negative stars I would. We came in on a Sunday afternoon to watch football, at what I thought was a sports bar, so you would imagine they would already be playing the games, or at least one. Nope, they had 5 TVs on, but no football. We ordered some jack and cokes and asked our waitress if they could put any of the football games on. We proceeded to ask two more times over the next 40 minutes, while we were also waiting for our food, which was taking painstakingly long! Each time we were told that only the bartender could change the TVs, and each time we were told that she was going to, except she never did. Except finally the third time we saw the bartender grab the remote and we were finally in hope! Alas, she put on bull riding, soccer, and basketball...what the heck?! We asked our waitress to just give us the check so we could leave and finally watch FOOTBALL on SUNDAY somewhere at a real sports bar that PLAYS SPORTS...strange concept, I KNOW. Our waitress then proceeded to tell us that the bartender told her that people at the bar got first dibs for the TVs, but what about 40 minutes ago, or the TV next to us? Finally I went to the bar to ask for a manager, of course I was told there was none, and both people behind the bar acted shocked that we had requested football and it hadn't been put on yet. At the end of the day, we don't care whose fault it is, if you're a sports bar, you should always have football playing on Sunday, especially if your customer has asked 3 times. In the end we still were waiting for our food to come out so we could just take it to go and give our money to another sports bar that hopefully values customer service more than this place does. read more

I recommended Stix to my military friends when they came off a 90 days tour. My Comrades said they will never go to this place of business again, I was like, "What happened?" Every time I go it's good. Now I understand why. My first time going on a Monday. Lt Wilson and Maj Woods, both females, went on a Monday also. It was discriminating how the boss treated me. That's what they called her, "The Boss." When I ordered my first drink she rolled her eyes and I had to wait until she finished talking to a guy she wasn't even servicing. Not from the bar at least. Maybe other ways. But that didn't bother me. Because the real Boss always shows me love. The real Boss care about her customers. I'm a retired Veteran. I got more respect from my enemies when I was at war. Be careful Boss, the real one. She is about self. She really believes she can run your business better than you. Get rid of her! Bartender tried to overcharged me for 2 drinks I ordered and in addition to that was unwilling to give me my change I asked for my change and she said we don't give quarters on the weekend. I complained to one of her coworkers and she slammed my change down on the table very rudely. Does she think that she can pour me a drink be extremely rude and arbitrarily take a tip? I waited for five minutes just looking at her as a reminder to give me the second drink I ordered. I finally asked for the manager and she lied to her in front of my face and said that I did not have the money for a second drink, when I had the cash in my hand and gave it to her right then and there. Now here is why this lady acts like this: The manager on duty for Saturday Night 12:54am Dec 15th 2019 did not seem perturbed by her very rude attitude although the manager corrected her since she was overcharging me but still did not seem too concerned about why she was overcharging whether ignorance or spite. Well to ge honest I have never been to Stix but after reading poor MLissa S from California get her panties in a twist over no football I think its time to pay them a visit. I know its tough for east coast snow flakes to comprehend that football for decades was an American institution.
