Passed here on the way home, and decided to grab some wings. The service was really good, but the food... Not so much. Looks like a good time can be had during sports games (didn't have anything at the bar). They took my order and it was ready in about 10-15 minutes like they said. When I got home, I was disappointed. I asked for wet lemon pepper and got dry (definitely my fault for not looking before I left). The Philly was real dry and there was more bread than meat. No amount of salt could save those fries. All in all, it was a quick bite and I got what I paid for. If you're looking for a sports bar in the area, I'm sure it's good to go to, but I wouldn't suggest it if you're craving wings and fries.

I love their teriyaki and lemon pepper wings. The Cajun fries are good too. I usually call my order in so I don't have to wait.

The chicken Philly is amazing. It's been a while since I have real sliced chicken. The wings are small and perfectly cooked.

My friends have tried attending and found the music level too loud & left. If it's supposed to be a restaurant, then maybe save the loud music til after 9 for the club vibe? ‍ We came for dinner Sunday, 7/27/25. There was a good mix of R&B & hip hop, with more R&B, I'd say. My husband, "can't do boopity-boo," and was able to hang in there until bingo. I'l come back to that. I ordered the Baldwin Hills, which was fruity, but strong. The bartenders need to get on the same page tho, because the 1st one was definitely better than the 2nd one. I'm from LA & Baldwin Hills is above the area where I grew up, so I had to represent with that drink. Normally, I'm a whiskey/bourbon lady, but vodka is my white liquor preference so I was good. The food is good. We started with the jerk chicken eggrolls. It was definitely fried hard, or maybe refried from earlier? Idk. It was not as light as the picture. Due to the lighting & how hard they were fried, I had to do some editing to make them visible. The server said they weren't too spicy. They come in 4 pieces. The 1st piece I had was definitely mild. My husband said they had a kick when he bit into his, but I didn't get that...that is until I had the 2nd one! Whew! All the spice was in that piece! I'd say slightly spicier than a little kick. They were tasty tho. We both waited a while for our entrees. The table next to us, also only with a couple had their food come out before ours, though they came in as we were finishing our appetizer I think. We'd already placed our entree order by the time they came. The server apologized for the delay on our food and said it would be out in a few minutes. It was more like 10-15 minutes before they brought out his entree. The person who brought it out, maybe the manager?, said she didn't want his food to get cold waiting on mine to come out. It took another 10-15 minutes, if not longer, for my food to come out, with no explanation. My husband ordered the fried catfish entreè with spinach & rice pilaf. He enjoyed his food. His only issue was not having 2 fillets. As you can see the piece you get is sizable, soooo, if you have a big appetite, maybe also get the catfish on the happy hour too to supplement the meal. ‍ I'm trying to get into salmon & the honey bourbon salmon was good. It wasn't overly sweet and it didn't taste fishy, like salmon sometimes can. The spinach is good also. I had to send the potatoes back because they were not hot. As long as I waited for my food, I wasn't expecting lukewarm food. The server quickly brought out some hot potatoes and they were good. They have bingo on Sunday night @ 8; or at least it was 8-something that's night. Initially, the dj said it was an R&B bingo, but when the bingo paper was passed out, it had hip hop on it too. I'm familiar with some hip hop, but don't know all the artists' names, lol. It was still fun, but I knew I probably wasn't going to win lol. We sang during the songs (had to ID the artist on the bingo card), and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I'm glad to have this option in Douglasville and glad it's still here after a few years when some other restaurants have closed. They are also open late, which is good, as most restaurants in the area close at 9 or 10. I'd ask the owner to consider a grown and sexy night or an over 35 night with good R&B music that's played at a level that can be enjoyed and allowed conversation to flow. A line dance night would also be good. I met the owner when the 1st location in Atlanta opened on Edgewood. It just so happened we had family in town visiting from LA. They gave him the business lol about the drink names and the place, but really enjoyed the vibe. I'm glad to see the business flourishing and in multiple states. I wish continued success and that there will be some acceptance of the feedback provided.

Great for pizza right? I can use a napkin to dry it but it's an avoidable complaint. 2. I ordered 6 wings which is the appetizer and got 5. I told the staff and they said it's supposed to be 5. I showed them the menu and it says 6. I'm not going to argue about a wing so I told them they may want to fix the menu and let it go. Plot twist - My receipt said I was charged for 6 wings. 3. I needed a refill but staff weren't paying attention so I raw dogged my medication with the spirit of ice. Three staff were sitting together by the window. Never got the refill. I will be back but I will take it to go 120%. No hard feelings to the staff. It's a team effort and as a group the cook minus the wing counting is holding up the team. While the service was below par, I still tipped 25% because the food wasn't expensive and this economy sucks.

Our waiter was clearly triple-sat, which isn't his fault--but it resulted in a very long wait just to get drinks and an appetizer. After 30 minutes, our cheese sticks finally arrived... stone cold. Not "warm-ish." Cold. The cheese didn't stretch--it snapped. That should've been our warning sign. Then came the OM Cheese Burger. I ordered it medium. What I received tasted like it had been cooked directly on a charcoal briquette. Burnt. Bitter. Coal-adjacent. The cheese was gooey but somehow not hot, and the cheese sauce--served on a skillet, mind you--was cold. Cold cheese sauce on a skillet is honestly impressive in the worst way. The burger lacked flavor and was just... bad, you guys. I'm genuinely sorry to say it. The riblets were burnt beyond recognition. Imagine tough little pieces of coal desperately trying to pass as meat, smothered in BBQ sauce that also tasted burnt. The four-cheese mac and cheese was awful, which feels like a crime. There was even bacon in it--HOW do you mess up mac and cheese with bacon? My daughter ordered the grilled cheeseburger with waffle fries, and while it was edible, it definitely didn't save the meal or justify the experience. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing Applebee's visits we've had. Long waits, cold food, burnt food, and flavors that just missed the mark entirely. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one earned it. We won't be rushing back for the OM Cheese Burger--or anything else.

This was my first time going through the drive-thru at this particular Checkers, and it was surprisingly clean. I had plenty of time to check it out while waiting for my order...yes, that's code for "it took awhile." Somehow we did not pick the winning drive-thru side. While we waited for one person to put in their order, I watched no less than 3 cars on the other side have orders taken. She must've been ordering for an army or something. Anyway, it finally came time for us to put our order in. No problems there. Then we pulled up for our food and waited. Drinks came. We waited some more. They fried some stuff (this is where I checked out how clean things inside were looking -- I was impressed, BUT the kid who was frying food was also working the register...and not wearing sanitation gloves on his hands.
