I went to Applebee's in Easley for an early dinner around 4pm. There were only three other tables with customers. The "loaded" garlic mashed potatoes had the consistency and taste of instant potatoes. "Loaded" consisted of a pinch of cheese, a few crumbles of bacon and a dab of sour cream - and was an extra charge. The broccoli was steamed to mush and the salmon had no taste whatsoever. Bread sticks were decent but (again) an extra charge. I had one glass of tea (also extra charge) and was not offered a refill until I was ready to leave. Definitely not worth the $25.00 bill. read more

The hostess, and the wait staff is great, but they cant help how bad the food is. save your $ and go anywhere else. I am so tired of dry, stale, tasting food. Classic Applebee's. Good deals on foods. Always love the wonton tacos. The 2 for $20 special basically gives you a free appetizer. Just wish they weren't so strict on substitutions. Service here is very friendly and usually pretty quick. Lots of televisions with a good variety of sports to choose from. In my opinion, the only place to come for gameday. The new crosscut ribs are really good, but they need to run the all you can eat more often. The green goddess salad is one of the best salads around and a meal in itself. They have a large bar and the size of the mugs on those beers are huge. Although I don't drink, this place looks appealing to those who do. They have a different soup every day, but the usual suspects are fine most if the time. Really good tortilla soup. And when it comes time for desert you're usually too full, but the cinnamon Carmel bites are delicious. read more

Went out last night to grab a bite. For the most part, Applebee's is very consistent. This location, in my experience, has a GREAT waitstaff, and a management team that backs it up. The food is consistently served at a good speed, and with rare exception, presented well. Last night, I had the Spinach and Berry salad with grilled chicken. It was excellent. Sometimes restaurants with go heavy on one ingredient, or another. This salad was almost a work of art. It started with a perfect bed of spinach. The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked and cut into nice pieces. Then the combination of strawberries, blueberries, blue cheese and pecans had a beautiful balance... one did not overpower the other. The strawberry vinaigrette dressing was nicely done... the perfect amount. Not a slight drizzle, not a drenching. Lovely. My husband had the 4 cheese macaroni with honey chicken. He said it was very good. However, a warning... apparently the mac and cheese leans to the spicy side. For my husband to say that something is REALLY spicy... it is. It appeared as tho there was a peppery sauce at the bottom that the mac and cheese, and then the chicken was layered on. FYI. Finally, if you have kiddos.... in my opinion, the Applebee's kids menu has the most extensive kids menu... period. They have about a dozen entrees to choose from, almost as many side items that offer many healthy options... and it includes their drink... yay! Now that I've given credit where credit is due... one item to mention... spend a little time and elbow grease cleaning. Specifically, the window blinds.... you can write your name in the dust. Also, it might be the age of the finish on the tables, but the tables just feel icky and grimey... they need some attention. If it hadn't been for the cleanliness issues I mentioned, I'd have given 5 stars... gotta go with 4 until they get some cleaning done. read more

I visited here last week and was pleasantly surprised at the experience. I just got dessert but it was excellent and the waitress was attentive and friendly. It is a little loud if you sit close to the bar but other than that it was very enjoyable! read more

I've tried to use the curb-side -to go, they can not get an order right, 6 failures in a row. When calling aback they say they will add me to list??? Might be time try a check and balance approach. Somebody may need to check order before they push to car. The food has always been decent. However, the last two times we have ordered and picked it up... not so much. I bought a cheeseburger. Specified NO PINK. When I got it home, it was raw. I'm not talking rare, I'm talking raw. We called the manager. Talked to her about our last two experiences with their pickup service. She really was carefree in her response. The service was pretty great. But the cook, obviously doesn't know how to cook. 3 steaks supposed to be medium rare, over cooked. When I sent it back, another came out that was still overlooked. Steak is like the easiest thing in the world to cook, and the cook couldn't do it correctly. They never got my steak right and I still had to pay for my meal. Applebee's has some delicious food but the servers aren't always the nicest. If your a good costumer they will be a good server

Met some friends here for lunch. Our server, Jennifer, was not friendly at all. It was as if we were an inconvenience to her that she had our table. She came over to us about 7 times and asked if we were ready and we kept saying no, please give us more time. When we got our food, it was all cold and the 4 cheese mac had no cheese on it. My steak was mostly fat and the mashed potatoes were lumpy and microwaved. We told the manager and he tried to help but the food was still nasty. We will not be back. read more

I have eaten at this Applebee's before, however this evening was TERRIBLE....The entire staff just conjugates at the bar area and front door...there was a dead fly in the frozen strawberry drink my daughter ordered, I told the waitress and about 10 minutes later the bartender decided to make her a new one and I was told it "must have fell from the sky". Then we received our food. My poor daughters nachos were burnt to a crisp, literally black on the ends and they actually served it. No manager EVER came to the table and they gladly handed me my $60 bill. The waitress was apologetic and very nice but the management obviously had better things to do than see that their food quality was up to par and their customers were happy. we had an early dinner here today because we were given a gift certificate for christmas. big mistake, the blue cheese dressing was the worst i ever tasted. it was sour! they didn't have baked potatoes. the steak was full of gristle and very tough. to be fair the salad would have been good with decent dressing and the meat was cooked perfectly medium rare, but i learned a long time ago one should never return a dish to the kitchen and then have the nerve to eat it. there was only 2 wait people and the service was lousy. i overheard other diners complaining also. read more
