First time here. Parked in front, which was wonky parking and tight. More parking in back, which is paid parking but you get that money back after validating inside. Food presentation was great! Nice bar focused sports bar. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. Everything was good, nothing spectacular though. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap. They definitely have the meat! because mine were packed with the pulled chicken. I didn't get a big buffalo feel from the sauce. The sauce was annoying as it and the juice from everything else made the wrap soggy. The tater tots were crispy in the outside and soft in the inside. I'd have Ty use again. Claire (pictured) refused to serve me at the bar following a wedding around 9:10 PM. I was the only Black person at the bar at the time. The entire wedding party that was present was drinking on my tab. I'm currently training for an Ironman, so I was only drinking a small amount. Claire continued serving everyone else in the group without issue, but when I attempted to order, she told me I was "cut off" and claimed I was slurring my words. When I questioned this, she ignored me and continued serving the rest of the guests -- not realizing that the drinks she was pouring were actually being charged to my tab. Another bartender later served me without hesitation. At one point, a white friend standing next to me ordered the same drink I had ordered (on my tab, and I was the one who initially placed the order). His drink was brought out first while mine did not come. After waiting around ten minutes, I began asking why. Claire continued refusing to serve me, even though other bartenders indicated they were willing to. From that point forward, I only ordered waters to make a point. For context, I was wearing a suit and had been behaving normally throughout the evening. I have never been cut off from alcohol service before, even in situations where I had consumed significantly more. I attended college in this town about a decade ago and experienced something similar at that time. After living in Atlanta for years, I had hoped things had changed. Once Claire realized I was documenting what was happening, she left the bar area and went into the kitchen. Shortly after, my group was no longer allowed back into the bar. I saw a review from Big Dave Eats about their wings so I had to try it. Boy did this place deliver! Not only did they have my favorite hard seltzer Happy Dad, their food is amazing! We have been a few times now and every time is great. I get the pork rinds every time I go because how can you resist somewhere that serves them up fresh, hot and still popping when they set them on the table?!?! I love that you can choose from a variety of sauces and rubs for the wings and also have the pork rinds tossed in it! I've had the Bloody Mary dry rub on my pork rinds ans that is my favorite. A group of coworkers and I went here for dinner, great place to hang out, big bar menu and food menu. Everything that came off the smoker was delicious, the corned beef and El Pastor tacos were delicious, the ribeye tacos were sort of dry and not very flavorful. Food did take a little longer than expected to come out but was fresh and was large portioned. Service from the server herself could've been better. The bartenders did check up on us more than the server actually did. My mom did make a comment halfway through eating and having the bartenders come up to us a couple times and made it a point to mention "they are really nice here," which was honestly great. Unfortunately, we couldn't play cards due to an 1802 South Carolina law that prohibits games with cards or dice in a bar (or any other public establishment). Apparently, the law is enforced in some places but not others, but the penalties are on the books and have sometimes even be enforced. The server handled it very nicely. So I used to go to this place years ago and it was wildly mediocre. My boy said let's go to Main St for lunch. I was not having it but he swore it was revamped and way better. So I agreed. Sports Viewing: Went to view a University of South Carolina football game. You'd imagine with the bar being in SC, they'd put the Gamecocks game on the biggest screens? Nope. Gamecocks (one of the 2 biggest home state schools) were being shown on only 2-3 smaller screens on the side of the bar we sat. The biggest and best screens were showing other games. (outside of S.C.) When we asked if the sound for the "local team" could be aired on their speakers. -- "We don't do that. We only play music during the college games." We came very close to getting up and walking out to find another venue. -- But, the game had already kicked off. So, we watched it without sound. At about the 3rd qtr of the game, a guy walked around giving out wrist bracelets, a DJ had set up, and dance music was BLASTED over the speakers. The bar changed from a "sports bar" vibe, to a Dance Club vibe. Kinda weird, if sports was truly your focus. Parking was a challenge. Rode around until we finally found a space. FOOD: On a more positive note, the food was good. - Jalepeno Poppers with cheese/bacon. - Jamaican Jerk Tortilla / Chips SERVICE: The staff was good. They asked if we needed anything on the regular. We came to Spartanburg to do some shopping and three different shopkeepers asked us where we were going to eat. Two out of three suggested Main Street Pub which is where we were going anyway.
