I went there for pickup, right when I drove up my food came right out in less then 10 seconds. The lady who gave me my food was so nice. When leaving, I could see how nice it was inside. It's an Applebee's, so you get what you pay for. The few times I've visited the food was perfectly serviceable and the price was right. Service was standard, certainly no complaints. I never expect great things from Applebee's, but for a quick late dinner that isn't from a burger drive thru, this can suffice. Not busy on a Tuesday evening so easy to get a table. Why they put us so close to the kitchen when other booths or regular tables were open I don't know. Hubby just had chicken tender platter. Nothing special. I usually like to try something a little less fried, so opted for shrimp broccoli cavatappi, in the new lower calorie category. Our server, Drew, was very nice. When he brought our meals he apologized for the delay. We didn't think it had been that long, but apparently it was. While DH's food was fine, mine had apparently sat for a bit. Minimal sauce to keep the calorie count down so dries out quickly, and sloppy presentation with bits of crusted broccoli scattered around the rim. Guess the microwave wasn't working and not stirred well because some parts were cold and others warm. I only ate half and brought the rest home. Not a bad meal at all. Like most of the chain restaurants they all have a 2 for $2x.xx meal combo and my mom and I took advantage of this with a house salad and a Caesar salad as well as 2 orders of popcorn shrimp. Out server was very nice (Jess) as she checked back on us throughout the meal, brought a refill on my drink, extra cocktail sauce and tarter sauce as well as a new basket of fries that were super crispy as we had requested. I always expect Applebees to be subpar across the board as they've continually gone downhill but this particular franchise was horrid. Service was beyond slow, we waited 10 minutes to be greeted by a hostess, there were maybe 10 people sitting and eating. We then waited another 20 minutes for our waitress to greet us! All the food that came out was cold, chips were stale, my sons French fries were soggy, even the ice tea was watered down. The best thing about this business is Louisa, the hostess with the mostess. ;-) She is always there to greet you and always chipper and friendly. She and the other servers keep us coming back. The servers we have most often are Adelia, Cassandra, and Amy and they are awesome. Congratulations on great employees. The new owners just remodeled the place and it looks alright, although it was probably better before. They built a WALL between Louisa and the customers and it feels like it is going to fall down on my head, so no five stars. I hate it. They now have security cameras everwhere which feels a bit like "Big Brother Is Watching You"...or somebody. Can't say as I like that. What I do like is their new menus and the new options on them. (I would like a little fried clams, scallops and lobster (even steamers) of course.) I especially like the steaks. My favorite drink is the Perfect Margarita, although they got chintzy and cut back on the amount in the container. ;-( It is still great. All they have to do to get 5 STARS out of me is tear down that stupid wall and put either stained glass like used to be in the dining area or nothing. And, don't forget, be nice to your employees. Very mediocre. I had the riblets and the meat tasted more like burger. I can't explain why, it was weird. The fries were good, crisp. The manager came by right after I was sat down and asked how everything was. I told him I couldn't say yet as I had just been sat. He looked confused and then managed a weak smile and walked away. Super disappointed! Went after work for a quick bite. Bar stools all next to each other. Asked bartender why no social distancing with bar stools and was told customers pull chairs from tables and do whatever they want. So they just put the stools back. I could not get out fast enough! Eating Ramen at Home. So I went for the 2 for $25, wife got ribs I got the 7 oz steak. Her ribs were ave. at best. My steak was microwaved and then charred to leave the marks. It was RAW and smelled disgusting. I took one bit and wanted to lick my dogs ass to get the taste out of my mouth. Manager came over and was apologetic, I think he was nervous he'd get shut down for serving such slop. He offered everything but I was too grossed out. Just plain bad. What you expect out of a chain restaurant. Mediocre food poor service.

Average food, fair service. We were seated immediately, and our server was there right away. That's were the good service went to fair. She asked us 3 times in the first 5 -7 minutes. When we were finally ready to order we had to wait. Once our order was placed, our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time, an thankfully there were no problems. The next time a server came by was to bring us our bill, and it wasn't even our original server. I believe our server left right after taking our order. No one came by to ask us how our meal was, if there were any problems, if we needed anything. Needless to say no additional drinks or desserts were ordered, as no one ever asked. Funny, the last time I ate at Applebee's, the manager on duty actually stopped by and asked how my meal was.. not this time (he must have been busy out back, as he was nowhere to be seen) I gave 3 stars because the meal was a 4 but the service was a 2 at best. I was surprised to see so many bad reviews for this restaurant. People seem to be criticizing the food expecting it to be 5-star cuisine. It's a reasonably priced chain people...for a chain, in my opinion, I think the food is pretty good. Me and my fiancé frequent this location as we've almost always had really great service, and to us, that's just as important as the food. There's always a manager walking around checking in and the servers are usually very attentive and personable. The food is usually done very well (again, realistic expectations in mind). The only issue we tend to have is that no matter how you order your burger (I like mine medium well, my fiancé likes his medium rare), you're probably always going to get it well done. Maybe we're just too easygoing for this to bother us, but it's happened every time and honestly never stops us from ordering burgers. The fish and chips is also amazing. So, in summary, I think this Applebees is really very good! read more

Slow service and we tried to use WiFi while waiting and were told by three employees that they had free WiFi. Neither of us could get the WiFi connection to show up on our phones, so we asked yet another employee to see if the router was on. A really friendly Applebees, I love all the servers here. That's the good. Of course, it's Applebees, ok, not special (though the new pastas are more than average). But it's all decent enough for a quick meal. Pet peeve: The French Onion Soup is always lukewarm. The Potato Crisps are really good, highly recommended. I live near this Applebee's so I frequent it pretty often with some of my friends. Its prices for the food are alright and is generally decent so I don't really have any complains in that department. The problem I have with this place is the alcoholic beverages. I would normally order the top shelf long Island iced tea and I believe it is priced around $8-10 which is pretty standard but there is next to no alcohol in them. Just because we're sitting at a dining table and aren't at a bar doesn't mean you should rip somebody off like that. It's very obvious they're skipping out on most of the alcohol. Other than that the place is nice and clean, and the wait staff is very friendly. The two stars are because this is the only place in Epping to get alcohol after 10:00pm and they can't even deliver on that in any respect. read more

Waitress did not know the beer selection, nor all of the items they were out of... ordered a pork chop, they were out. Waitress did not mention this, frustrating but ok... then we learn that they were also out of baked potatoes!
