Since it was post-Valentine's Day (aka Restaurant recovery day), and half the decent places are closed on Mondays nowadays, within our area anyway, we did our due diligence and called around first. Everywhere else? "40+ minute wait." Next, we haven't been to T-Bones in forever. We roll in, grab two high-top seats at the bar -- zero wait! Bar was about half full, noise level perfectly tolerable. Immediate win. No menus were proactively offered. We had to request them like they were part of a premium subscription tier. Small detail. Not fatal. Just... noted. Waitress was friendly enough. Didn't expect much, got exactly that. The banter felt awkward like we were both trying to participate in small talk neither of us applied for -- but maybe that's on me. Drinks took a minute. Waitress warned us after she brought us our waters that the "bar was behind." Rum and Coke arrived first. My CJ's Marg? Fashionably late, by 10 minutes. Both were fine. Solid. Not life-altering. Not offensive. Not memorable, Just... bevies. We ordered two entrées: T-bone and Creamy Tuscan Salmon with house salad. Plot twist -- out of T-bone (AT T-Bones ) Instead of discreetly checking inventory, our waitress conducted a live-action inventory roll call across the bar: "What do we have?" Response: "NY Sirloin and tips!" NY Sirloin it is! Honestly, I appreciated the transparency. Dinner and a show! Iconic. The steak prices made me briefly reconsider my financial future, but beef in this economy is basically a luxury item now. Food came out quickly. Salmon was hot (love temperature consistency), but the basil aioli was aggressively present. Like it was fighting dominance. I scraped it off and restored balance. Was an easy fix. Overall: no wait, decent drinks, quick food, solidly average with flashes of unintentional entertainment -- manageable expectations. Definitely a local hangout spot. I had lunch with 3 friends. Our waitress was very cordial. After a blunder with one of my friends drink which he specifically detailed we had to have a replacement. The Hors d'oeuvres came and I realized that they were the frozen kind which I detest. I have had home made onion rings at another restaurant. So that was OK but I remember the wonderful bread that they would serve with a cutting board and knife. They have changed the bread. Why do you deliver bread for 4 people as a one loaf. As for my friends, I will not comment on their lunches but I had Baked haddock which was very dry and unappealing. The baked potato was the best part of the meal. Moved inside then the manager was forcing the inside server to take over some work for the tables outside. This caused the inside tables to become neglected. On behalf of my mother: As long-time patrons and TBones rewards members who have spent hundreds of dollars at this location over the years, we were appalled by the treatment we received yesterday at the Bedford, NH location. From the moment we were seated, the experience felt like we were being treated as second--or frankly, third-class guests. Despite being seated promptly, our server (an older woman whose attitude was unprofessional and downright rude) seemed disinterested and dismissive of our table from the start. Our food never arrived. Not even a status update, no explanation, no apology. We sat and waited while other tables were being served. To make matters worse, no bread or popcorn was ever brought to our table, despite it being a standard courtesy at TBones. It was as if we were invisible. What made the experience even more frustrating was the complete lack of managerial oversight. No one came to check on our table, and there was zero accountability for the unacceptable service. It's disheartening to see such poor treatment from a restaurant we've supported for so long. This isn't about being "high maintenance" -- it's about expecting basic hospitality and decency, especially as loyal customers. TBones Bedford, you seriously need to revisit how your staff treats all patrons, regardless of age, appearance, or assumptions. You've lost our trust, and sadly, you've probably lost our business as well. read more

Never had a bad meal or service here. Today I Bedford a couple with a child sat at a table at the bar. It was 10-15 minutes before a waitress even approached them and almost 20 minutes later still no beverages. I have been in the business long enough to know things happen but it is management's responsibility to be aware and to help out wherever and whenever necessary. read more

What a great restaurant in a really convenient spot!! The food was fresh and tasty and our server was fabulous. I wish I could recall his name. Just outstanding service. Fish tacos are big! Served on perfectly charred tortillas. Potato fries hot and crisp. Tasty sauces. TheirSunday special included a roast pork dinner. Thinly sliced pork loin over freshly made bread stuffing and pork gravy. Served with fresh mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked green beans. Only thing a bit disconcerting was there was no applesauce. Just a bit of cranberry sauce which was fine but if you're going to offer a pork dinner, you need to serve applesauce. Still it gets an A- in my book. The pork was too thinly sliced. Fewer, thicker slices would have been even better. But taste is overall the most important and it was so good. All in all a very delicious meal, nice atmosphere and great server. When we reported it to the manager on site she replied "oh she's been here for a long time and hasn't been feeling well"! This place was yummy. The wife and I finally had the night off from the boy and we went to T-Bones for date night! I overheard a coworker say her husband took her here and my other coworker chimed in that she loved T-Bones. Off to T-Bones! It was a large joint and we sat for an earlier dinner so there wasn't a lot of people there. Our server, darn I forget her name, but she was GREAT. Prompt, funny, not over bearing, kept our drinks full and made us feel well taken care of. Mentioned she was also a grade school teacher or something. We would go back just for her again. I got some sort of burger with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and an avocado sauce, I forget what it was called. The wife got country fried chicken with mash and broccoli and some sort of cranberry sauce. The REVIEW: The burger itself was good. A nice juicy medium rare and a thick burger. It had tomato on it and a pesto aioli I would equate to pesto mixed with cream cheese. It was delicious, I actually often add cc mixed with pesto on my own burgers I make at home. The menu did describe a sun dried tomato Mayo, but I wasn't really able to single that out in the bites. Slice of fresh mozzarella. Bun was a toasted Kaiser style bun with a yummy yummy, salty garlic butter brushed onto it. Fries weren't very crispy or crunchy. Steak style and probably not made fresh to order. Wife got the country fried chicken which was a nice thick, well fried piece of juicy chicken breast. Covered in these thick, corn flake bread crumbs and a delicious gravy. DELICIOUS gravy. Her two sides were mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Mashed potatoes were very good, simple, but potatoey, in a good way. They didn't have any gravy on them and that would have made it an easy 10. The broccoli was simple but PERFECTLY steamed. Could have used some salt and pepper, but we had grinders of both on table next to us and neglected to reach for them. It had cranberry sauce with it. Apple Crisp for dessert may have been the highlight of the meal. It was a coarse toasted granola crisp that was very good. If we let it sit without taking a bite for a second we could see a bit of butter forming on top of the melted ice cream. The apples were perfectly cooked, there was a lot of caramely flavor to it. The ice cream itself, I was neutral on. 22oz Founders Haze beer (or something like that...) 16oz strawberry lemonade, tart and yummy. 16oz Diet Coke Bathroom was clean but only a single occupancy bathroom which I'm not a huge fan of. Going to the restroom to find it occupied leaves me with the choice of waiting in the hall or returning to my table, neither is what I want to do. Automatic paper towel dispenser is great. read more

Now, this is an example of one location in an indigenous franchise isn't always equal to the experience of another. BLUF: if you want a better T-Bones experience, visit the Manchester location instead of the Derry one. I'm not gonna take too much time to talk about this one. But basically, the buffalo chicken egg roll appetizer is still awesome, the service was still pretty great, and we went a different direction with the main courses (which we'll go over in a minute). The thing I should mention here is...up until this point, we were mostly ordering take-out from here (the fish n' chips are to DIE for, btw). Which brings me to another caveat: between the hours of 5 to 8pm on Fridays through Sundays, you cannot order take-out from here. Reason being (I suspect) is because those are peak dine-in customer hours. Although....Sundays aren't typically crowded ever, unless it's Mother's Day or something but....I realize I'm probably splitting hairs at this point, so...let's move on. Both the wife and I got the baked haddock, but with different sides. The sides don't matter because they were fine for what they were. But the haddock was...actually quite divine. A nice change of pace from the carnivorous disaster experienced at the Derry counterpart. The fish, which was baked in buttery, breadcrumb-y goodness, flaked with the majestic grace of which all New England worthy flounder should. Minor complaints....it lacked a bit of seasoning which a dash or two of salt would have easily corrected. Also, I prefer my fish with a bit more lemon juice. But they DO give you a slice of lemon to spritz over it. So....there's that. It goes without saying that I would prefer this T-Bones over its counterpart in Derry. Maybe the fish tastes the same over there as well, but...I dunno. You know what they say about first impressions. T-Bones in Manchester gets 4 flaky flounders baked in bodacious breadcrumbs out of 5. read more

Do not order takeout or DoorDash from this place. 99% of the time, you will be missing something. Also, don't think this is a doordash problem. Order a sandwich and soup, or sandwich and salad, you will get the bag all sealed up but either the soup or the salad will be missing. I have no idea how this continues to happen from this store. I would state (and this is not an exaggeration, 6 out of 10 times) either something is missing or wrong. Period. No quality control. Nobody reviewing the order for accuracy. How hard would that be for another set of eyes on the food before it gets packed up and goes out. Would go a long way. But nope, they just continue to respond with "sorry for your inconvenience, can we send you a gift card for your next visit?" Keep up this missing/wrong items thing and there won't be a "next visit". We grabbed takeout for the first time at T-Bones based on a recent recommendation along with some positive Yelp reviews. The menu has a few things that caught my eye, but I settled on the stir fry and my husband got the Cheddar Burger with bacon and garlic mushrooms added. The stir fry portion is huge. We could have split that entree and probably will on a future visit. It was really tasty on its own, but even better with a drizzle of sriracha at home to give it a little spice. I have a large portion leftover in the fridge to enjoy today. My husband's burger was delicious and he said that he would order it again. Good food, really friendly service, moderately priced - I can see why T bones is always packed. It's a typical diner-esque restaurant serving almost everything so everyone can pick out what they like. The food is solid but nothing special, I enjoyed my reuben and cesar salad, but it wasn't anything I haven't had before. Stopped in near the end of the night after making the decision to stay in a local hotel for a sporting event. After a long drive, my daughter wanted American cuisine. A quick search of Yelp turned up T. Bones, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was casual. We were seated quickly and away from the papacy, per our request. The service was timely without being I've the top. We ordered some wings as a starter. Which were large and wonderfully seasoned. The lone knock on the entire experience was that the wings could have been a bit crispier, but I'm going to write that off to being a regional preference. For dinner, my daughter had salmon and I had no choice but to prefer the T Bones burger. Both were outstanding; the pineapple citrus rice served with the salmon was outstanding, and the salmon was perfectly cooked. The burger was easily the best one I've had in calendar 2023, and probably longer. To top it all off, I had the pleasure of listening to my daughter and our server compare notes on Taylor Swift for a solid ten minutes, which was sweetly charming. Almost a year later and I still really enjoy eating here. Now whenever you order an entree you get a salad with it. I tried the caprese with basil aioli and it was delicious. Also the pasta was delicious as usual. All the servers are very kind (the one with glasses and reddish hair is really nice and remembers everybody's orders). We ordered curbside pick up and when we got home and sat down for dinner we found each plate had very little rice a scoop of squash and 3 steak tips. Menu states 9oz but these tips weighed in at around 6oz. We have been coming to T Bones for years and ordered the tips many times. There unusually a ton of rice and 5 to 6 streak tips. Clearly they are skimping on portions due to the quarantine. We have never eaten at T Bones in 20 years and left hungry until now. If they are running low on food then they need to ajust the price or stop taking orders. If your charging $17.99 for steak tips then server the correct portion. This is not the time to fool your loyal customers because we will remember your behavior when the quarantine ends. Always weight up not down. read more

Always a good meal however be careful! When paying with a credit card and given the choice of 18, 20 or 22% tip the calculation is way off! My bill was $67.95, I opted to tip 18% which should have been $12.23 but came to $19.52! I didn't check the amount at the time but did so before I left the restaurant. I stopped to chat with a friend who was just finishing his meal and told him about the miscalculation. Now at home he just called me to say the same thing happened to him. His bill was about the same, he opted for 20% which calculated to over $23.00 when it should have been about $13 - $14. Management take note! read more
