The worst Curb Side service ever!! We ordered Curb Side take out about every other weekend for 3 months due to our crazy schedule and a baby. They get our order wrong EVERY time! One time my husband even drove back there for them to correct it. The last time there were a few cars in line and they were so disorganized they got every cars' order wrong! They went down the line asking who's order it was. When they take your order over the phone they ask what care you're driving! This time they got our order wrong 3 times! I told my husband he should have just drove away! They didn't even apologize or do anything to rectify. So obnoxious! We obviously should have known better than to keep going back. If you do decide to order Curb Side from Applebee's, you'll speak to Mitchell with an British accent, make sure he repeats your order, name, and car model and color to you. read more

This Applebee's is awesome! We went on a Saturday night and received great service! The manager makes herself visible but not overbearing and is very friendly. The hosts and hostesses are very friendly and accommodating. The burgers were great and our server was friendly and efficient. For a chain restaurant they really take a lot of pride in their business. It was much appreciated! read more

I've been to this Applebee's plenty of times before and never had a problem. The food isn't all that great it's mediocre food but food is food to me. Today was like no other day. I haven't been to this place in a while and I ordered the fiesta lime chicken because I was in the mood for chicken. ....I regret with all my life ordering this. I got food poisoning a few hours later consuming this. It was completely terrible. Of all the times I come to this place this one time I order chicken and they screw it up. Word of advice. Food was great as always, but our waiter, John C is horrible. All he did was sit at a table...we had to stare him down and most time he never came....we had 3 people in our party 2 women and one male....he asked the women if they wanted dessert and didn't even acknowledge the male. This was the worst restaurant experience. Burger was served raw when it was ordered well-done. Acknowledged it to the waitress (she took the plate without saying anything) had to track down the manager 15mins later just to find out what was going on. This was the first time trying this Applebee's location. This was the only place open other than the usual late night drive thru's. I stopped in about 45 mins before closing after a long flight from BWI. The misses and I was told the kitchen was still open by the bartender. The bartender was extremely nice and checked on us often. The food was good and I was really shocked because normally when you go to location close to closing time the service can be really bad or just average. read more

I was just trying to have a nice dinner and catch up with a friend. We enjoyed one drink before dinner then one during our meal. We also had a desert and tried to order our 3rd drink. When the manger Tony, came from us pushing the service button on the tablet. Then proceed to tell us we needed to drink water before we had our next drink. Told my Hispanic friend that her eyes were "squinted" and that she was slurring her words" When English is her second language.. My friend was so embarrassed! I've had bad Applebee's before and this place really isn't bad! Seriously! This place is WAY better than the one near where we use to live in California. That place was bad! The servers are nice and there is always something here the kids will eat. Sometimes, you just want something that you know will taste good. And it's always busy here - even during the week which is a good sign because the food is fresh. This is definitely our go-to spot if we want to spend a little bit of money for sit down service. read more

I agree with a previous post - I am disappointed that there are no Happy Hour Specials between 4-7. Service last night was lacking - the waitress was too quick to bring the check without asking if we wanted more drinks or dessert. The place was pretty empty - especially for a Friday night so I'm not sure why she was rushing us. Tonight I came here for my son's 7th Birthday dinner. I did not have such a good visit. My son ordered chicken tacos. When his food came to the table he wouldn't eat it because it was cold. Notified the waitress and she warmed it up for him. When it came back he took a bite and would not eat anymore of it because his "soft taco" was too hard! So after that he refused to eat his dinner. The waitress at our table was very nice except she did not check to see if we were ok to often. We had to wait on refills of apple juice for my son longer than usual. My food was good. My steak was pretty good but the vegetables were not so great!! After eating I stepped out to my car for not even 3 min I came inside to be told they already sang happy burthday to my 7 year old!!! Very disappointing!! They could have waited for me to see them sing to him!! I didn't get to see it!! After spending 90 dollars in there I have to say I was not happy with this visit. The worse service I have ever encountered. Was seated and waited over 15 minutes with no one coming to our table as others were being seated and helped. We decided to leave and as we passed the hostess station 6 waitstaff were leaning on the table talking. As we told them why we were leaving they looked at us and said have a good night. I ate there years ago and had a New York Strip Steak and it was excellent!

This past weekend I was out in Crofton at the Chapel Town Center shopping with my signifcant other and we decided to grab some lunch at this Applebees location. Not a big fan of Applebees, but I really liked the sports theme at this location, and it was actually CLEAN. The food and service was actually pretty good as well. No complaints...would probably eat there again if I was shopping in the area. read more

This might be the single worst experience at a restaurant we have had in the last 7 years. We do not normally eat at chain restaurants but we thought we would give it a shot tonight since i was going to pick up my wife and grab some carry out. They need to catch up to the reality that people like to drink beer that is not just bud and coors. Not one IPA either on tap or in a bottle. We sat at the bar and ordered carry out. The bartender was extremely distracted on his cell phone and by a group of loud extremely beligerent men. Our order was wrong. The frozen Marguerita I had was absolutley horrible. It tasted like dish water. The food was the worst I have eaten in years. This restaurant should be closed down it is so horrible. read more

I do not go to Applebee's often. Usually the food is ok. This Applebee's was fantastic. I got the wood fired chicken breast with garlic green beans, and sweet potato fries. It all was delicious. So many restaurants can't grill a chicken breast correctly. Not only was all of my food great, it looked pretty on the plate. My husband was happy with his meal as well. We had great service and hopefully we will go back soon. read more

I'm giving 5 stars namely because of the staff and service at this particular location. My boyfriend and I eat here a lot when we can't decide exactly what we're in the mood for, Applebee's has a good assortment of everything from steaks, burgers, salads, soups, beverages, etc. The staff are always super friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. The food is always good, nothing has ever been over cooked or left out (cold). It's disappointing that they've taken some things off the menu as they were my favorites (the original platter nachos and the blondie dessert have been greatly missed) but it's a chain so that tends to happen. This is a great location! As a side note, shame on those of you who single people out BY NAME when giving negative reviews. I am absolutely against that. There are a few bad eggs from time to time but 9 times out of 10, misunderstandings/miscommunication are the cause of negative experiences and this can certainly happen very easily when it gets busy. EVERYONE makes mistakes, let's not go out of our way to publicly tarnish the reputation of an individual because he/she wasn't practically reading your mind from the moment you walked through the door. read more

Went here for a date night dinner last night. It was our first time here and it was a really nice time the restaurant was very nice and clean, the staff was polite. The food was great and they had alot of choices. The only draw backs were the host didnt really greet us and after we finished it took forever to get the check. read more

I've been to some really run-down locations, but this one is pretty good, as far as Applebee's goes. Never had an issue with wait times or service. Their margaritas are fantastic--better than I would have expected from a place like this. Food is hit-or-miss, but that goes for any low-to-mid-end chain place. Compared to some Applebee's locations we have been to this one is quite small in size. If you are planning to visit for dinner there is usually a wait, however, lunch time is pretty empty! My husband I went for lunch a couple weeks ago during their all you can eat ribs special, the waitress was very attentive and the manager was waiting tables (possibly short staffed?). They were both friendly, greeted us as we sat down and as we left. They even gave us a complimentary dessert to share for the inconvenience (however we are unsure what inconvenience there may have been). Overall very pleasant experience. The price is average for this type of chain, and the environment is kid friendly. read more

This was the worst ever experience. The waitress never gave us water. The hamburger was served in a bun without mustard or mayonnaise. The wine was watery and the waitress was very lazy and did not deserve a tip. the staff hung around and did nothing. The food was bland and awful. Applebees will not last in Gambrills much longer. This is by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an Applebee's restaurant, from the moment we walked in the host was complaining that she had to "move tables around" to accommodate us, when we asked the manager if everything was ok he said "she's just in a mood because she has been here all day" and you know what I get that but if you're working with costumer service you can't have an attitude with your costumers, another thing that bothered me was that our waitress literally told us that we had to order right away when we didn't even get a chance to look at our menus because they had already closed kitchen, which again is understandable but I really wish they could of said that before they sat us down, and since my party and i didn't want to be rushed so we just made it easier on them and left. I know it's Applebee's; what's to review as there is one in every town. However, visiting last week I have to say this was the best service I've had in the area for a long time. I've eaten at Applebee's for as long as I can remember and have always loved the atmosphere and the food. That being said, why on Earth would the corporate penny pinchers change a good thing? Have they never heard "If it's not broke, don't fix it?" I went last night and found the usual welcoming, fun, happy environment and elite staff but found a menu full of nothing I've grown to love over the years! When I questioned the waitress, she told me that certain locations had been used as test sites for new menus. Really?! I can can completely understand adding things, taking away things that aren't big money grabbers but a complete overhaul is ridiculous! Thanks to the great waitress, Brittany's help, patience and knowledge of the menu, I was finally able to find something but honestly if it hadn't been for her, I would have left and went somewhere else. Applebee's should pay more attention to the fact that they have great staff than whether or not the menu is being revamped otherwise long standing customers will walk right on out and hit the Olive Garden who changes things but still keeps the good old reliables that's brought them the customers who have returned for years. Where to begin. First lets talk about the appetizers. Pot stickers were TINY and the thai peanut wings were dissapointing. They were over fried, so nice and dry and no flavor or that pow of peanut flavor you'd expect. Second I ordered a steak, which was a cheap cut that it was as light as pork even had the consistency of pork! Plus it tasted terrible and wasn't even cooked right. So I returned it and ordered a pecan crusted chicken salad which was good. Not the steak though my pregnancy cravings are screaming for...anyways. gave a gift card and cash to pay. The waitress actually rang in the cash FIRST then the gift card...wtf. I have waitressed and worked retail since I was 14 and know that you always ring up the gift card first! I ended up just leaving the gift card there. We will not be going back to this place. The 2 positive things are the waitress was nice and my french onion soup was delicous.
