Late-night bite at our local Applebee, what can go wrong?? Nothing!! For a spare moment 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, we were received and served promptly; the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I appreciated that the music was not too loud and the crowd was not ready; it was just locals enjoying bites and drinks until closing.

Unique Mountain Dew! Dark Berry Bash!

This is a true story. While we were sitting at our table, I said to my cohort: "Let's play a game. You win if you can find a single employee here who is smiling." Nobody won. I think that says all I need to say about this place, but in the interest of a complete and fair review, I'll continue. We were sat right away on a Friday night. The place was busy, though, so it wasn't like there were a ton of tables. Well, I say that, but the entire far section (right side when you walk in) was completely empty. The rest of the joint, though... hoppin'! That was probably the main problem... how busy the place was. We were sat immediately, true, but we waited over 10 minutes for someone to greet us at the table. And no one did. I finally asked the manager who our server was, because we hadn't seen anyone yet. Within 30 seconds, our guy came over and took our order. After that, he checked in on us fairly regularly, including bringing me a refill of my beverage without my asking (very nice!). Our food came out rather quickly too. The bar drinks took a little longer, but that stands to reason, especially on a Friday night. And not even that much longer, to be fair. If I'm being honest, the main reason I went there was to try a unique Mountain Dew that is exclusive to Applebee's (Dark Berry Bash). My first cup had almost no syrup, but enough to shade it blue and give off a little flavor. I informed the manager and server, and it was fixed within minutes. So, again, hard to complain about the service once we were seated. The food was okay, nothing too special. We split the pretzel sticks and you don't get a whole lot for the price. But, lot of that going around these days, thank you inflation. Strangely enough, the sauces were fantastic, though! So, we'll call that one a push. Once we got the server's attention, the service was fine. But, as I said, literally no one working there was smiling. Like, I get it was a busy Friday night, I'm not oblivious to how taxing that can be. But, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON? That's not a Friday night. That's called a red flag. There's always one... ALWAYS ONE person who keeps a positive attitude, even during the busiest shifts. But, not here. The food was mediocre, the drinks were good, the service was spotty, and the décor left a lot to be desired. The table and chairs were clean, but the rest of the joint could have very much used some TLC. Overall, if you're a Dew hunter like me (well, only amateur level really), any Applebee's is worth it for the exclusive flavor. But, for dining out in Waugh Chapel, this is probably the lowest tier there is.

Chicken tenders on the kid's menu. Mmmmm....

I recently went on vacation to Afghanistan. There were a lot of food places with foods I have never tried in my life. So obviously, I decided to hit up the local Applebee's for dinner. Wow. It was so delicious. The employees there were very good at listening because I changed my order around 7 times before settling on chicken tenders off the kid's menu. I like how the interior looked like a fast-food restaurant. Although I was in Afghanistan, I still left a review at this Applebee's anyway.

The place is just blah . Came in last night (Saturday) for the late night happy hour experience ( starts at 9PM and appetizers are half off) . The place was dead quiet and there was no vibe at all. We had a party of 8. Our server seemed flustered that she had this big party but she did okay . The food was just okay and just lacked flavor

    Bourbon Street Steak*

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Worst Applebees ever. Ordered bourbon street steak medium well. First it came out so overcooked you couldn't cut it. Server kindly took it back and brought me a new one 10 minutes later. The picture attached is what was the brought me. A completely RAW steak. Cold as ice. So foul! And they would only take $10 off my meal. Save your money and your time , go to chilis or something.

Haven't stopped at an Applebee's Grill & Bar for about two years. We used to go all the time but they changed the menu and the dishes we liked the most disappeared and the new dishes didn't entice us. Greeted upon entering and immediately seated. It was COLD in there. I am normally hot natured and cold doesn't bother me much but I was shivering when we left. Ladies, bring your light sweater. Order the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. I thought this would be like a BBQ bourbon or something similar. Don't know what the seasoning was but it had no flavor and the chicken breast was a tad dry. The sautéed onions and mushrooms had a good flavor but was very salty. It was an ok dine in with great company and a cold bier. Guess that makes the day better,,,

Blue aloha mana margarita rating: 4/10
    Melissa E.

Well, what can I say ...this spot is average at best but it's Applebees so I truly don't have high expectations. The overall atmosphere is the same as any other location, chill vibe with what feels to be neighborhood people stopping by for food and drinks. I seated myself at the bar, no hostess was at the door to greet me but again, I truly don't have high expectations. The young lady at the bar was kind, nothing exceptional about the service. I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip...it was meh, so much so I didn't even take a picture. The layer of cheese on top was inedible and the actual dip itself lacked seasoning/flavor. My margarita with patron was just okay ...could have been stronger. My second drink, the blue aloha mana margarita was stronger, however the taste was just average .. Will I come back, possibly if I'm in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to to stop by. My experience here is 7/10

Applebee's seems to be very passionate about the new Jungle Cruise movie with the Rock. They have ads on every table and for each 25$ you spend you can get a free ticket. Which isn't bad, i'm actually redeeming my tickets for the movie. Applebee's also is now using QR code menus. If you have a phone you use the QR code and if you don't they'll give you the old school (paper and laminated) menu. Today I went to Applebee's my family. Our server was nice. We ordered onion rings, and for my entree I decided to eat an appetizer (buffalo boneless wings). The wings we good and the onion rings were quite soggy. My brother got a full rack of ribs and said they were delicious. My food was mediocre and I will say I'd rather not come again.

    Chicken Wonton Tacos (my fav)
    Rae H.

I get it, this place isn't the place to go if you're expecting exceptional customer service...but I have my go-to meal here and they never disappoint. I absolutely love their Chicken Wonton Tacos, side Caesar salad and French Onion Soup (not pictured). I don't know what it is but their French Onion Soup is on point!! If I'm being honest, if the ever get rid of my go-to meal, I probably would not be coming here at all. Service is subpar and the vibe here is eh.

Meh, probably one of my least favorites of the chain restaurants. It's ok in a pinch, but I don't seek it out.

I've gone a few times now and they've been consistent across the board. I've had the wings, fish and chips, and the mac & cheese, and everything has been on point every time. No misses. The food is flavorful, well prepared, and perfect for the laid-back but upscale vibe they have going. And I have to mention my go-to drink: the Espresso Martini. Easily one of the best in the area. Smooth, balanced, and dangerous in the best way. The atmosphere can get a little loud, so I wouldn't recommend for date nights, but if you want to hang with friends, or just grabbing a quality drink and good food, or watch sports, this is your place. If you're in Odenton and haven't been yet, you're missing out.

It's a laid back atmosphere - casual, but if you want to get cute that's fine too. There's a limited food menu. I didn't get any food this time. I really enjoyed the tiramisu espresso martini - I would get it again. There's a good selection of cocktails, beer and wine. There was live music but it wasn't super loud where a conversation was difficult. The employees were very nice and attentive.
