First time here and the food was nothing to write home about, my little girl got the pizza bread kids meal. She took one bite of it and wouldn't eat anymore. We eat there often, as it's close to us, and usually decent. Tonight, I ordered a steak, and my husband ordered a bourbon chicken. His dinner was ok. Not great, but O.K. I had to send my steak back, as it was rubbery, and had NO flavor. I hate rubbery steak. The baked potato was good, and should have just kept it, and stopped there. But, the waitress was quite apologetic, and handled it like a pro. I asked for a small burger instead, which she brought 15 minutes after my husband had finished his dinner. The hamburger wasn't even very good. Actually, it was a sub par sad little burger with wilted lettuce, and a tiny end of a tomato for garnish. Patty was dry and just nothing special. Nothing special at all. In and Out makes a waaaay better burger. I ate 3 of the fries, we paid, and left. Mind you, I LOVE FRIES, and NEVER LEAVE THEM ON THE PLATE. I will say that our waitress was outstanding, very responsive, and apologetic. Not her fault. We still tipped her well, of course. Probably won't go back anytime soon, if at all. First experience awful so we tried it again. Big mistake. Seating was quick however host took us to eat in the bar so we requested to go to main dining room which was not busy. I ordered a cocktail that was light on the alcohol and ordered a shot to add to my drink for a whopping $15 bucks. Don't order a hamburger it's flavorless. Total bill for 2 $45 plus tip. We usually won't go to these "cookie cutter " restaurants. They are notorious for bad attitude, and poor food. I talked my husband into giving this Applebee's a second chance. This is The best Applebee's I've Been to...The Service is usually Great & the Price of Food Reasonable...The Staff- welcomes and remembers you as a Regular when I was living/working in Hemet. They are open late so it's great since just about everything else in town shuts down by 9pm. They also had a 10 pm Happy Hour & Mix up their menu so I've been happily surprised to try their new foods & drinks. But have comfort in the regular menu. Came tonight for the AYCE chicken strips and ribs. It was fairly busy so we were unable to get a booth; It was my husband, toddler, and I. First problem was the little game/ordering apparatus was stuck on Care Bears game ad and we couldn't order, or put something entertaining on for our daughter. Our first server came and took our drink order and we placed our food order at that time as well. I ordered the chicken strips with ranch, bleu cheese and bbq sauce, husband got the chicken and bacon sandwich. They brought out my drink first only, than my husbands a while later then we had to remind them to bring my daughters juice, we thought it odd that they brought out one drink at a time taking a long time in between. Then they brought our food, I noticed that they only brought honey mustard with my strips, which was the one sauce I didn't order, lol. I had to ask for my sauce and then they brought ranch and bbq but forgot the bleu cheese and again it took a while before they brought both. After finishing my strips I order the ribs and when they brought them out, I realized that with their AYCE they only bring out 2 at a time after your initial order so be prepared to wait a lot for only two at a time, that's how they get you. Every time something was brought out to us, it was a different person I think we had like 5 different servers. We were seated near the waitress area and then I hear one of the servers loudly proclaiming that they just lost a table of four because it was too hot and one of the others ones saying that she was glad they said they didn't like her and that they can leave. When the original waitress came back to check on us she said "do you want anything else, it's probably too late I've already pissed everyone off tonight!" We paid and I tipped 5 dollars on a 34 dollar check but it was pretty bad service and we probably won't go to this one anymore. read more

We went there twice and left twice due to sufficient air conditioning. The first time it was a very hot day so we gave them a pass. But second visit it was warm out but not hot enough for it to be so uncomfortable inside the dining area. It's time they have the air conditioner serviced. read more

Applebee's is pretty consistent regarding their food. I usually have no issues with the food or the quality of the food. There does, however, seem to be a problem with getting a good server at Applebee's (not with this particular location tho'). Prior experience told me that my visit today would TASTE good but the service would probably stink, like it does at the Murietta location...and was I WRONG! Christina took care of my guest and me today and we were both very impressed with the attention she gave us but at the same time didn't smother us with. I don't normally tip as much as I did today for a $25 lunch but Christina was that good. I WILL BE BACK HERE! I come to Hemet once a month or so and you won't be able to keep me away! So I went to applebees last night with the family, was looking forward to their new shrimp and broccoli cavataplia? (Probably spelled it wrong sorry). Well anyway, when the food arrived it looked nothing like the picture on the menu, the broccoli was one side and the pasta and shrimp was on the other side, and on top of that the food was lukewarm not hot, I told my bf let's exchange it or tell the waitress Denise but he said never mind eat what you can,, cause our was going to start in 20 minutes, so we can go, we said we are never coming back here again he said his steak was cold also. My mother & I ate at this restaurant on May 3, 2016, and the food was burned! My mother ordered well done steak/shrimp, & I ordered a full rack of ribs. The ribs were whole (i.e., they did not cut the rack of ribs in half). Also, as soon as I turned the ribs over they were completely burned! With this in mind, I called the waitress over and explained the situation she then called the manager. The manager, who was an older gentlemen apologized and offered to replace the ribs, which I accepted. Meanwhile, my mother turned her steak over and discovered it was burned, too! At this point, we were fed up and ready to leave. The manager came over again, and offered to replace the meal free of charge for everything including beverages. I used to love this restaurant...we had a party of 6. 4 of us had cold food. I had the Salmon but it was old over cooked and dry. My grilled veggies consisted of red bell peppers and zucchini. I don't normally complain but I have to this time. My wife's potatoe was under cooked. The service was great. Normally we're the kind of people that just suck it up, and don't say anything, but every restaurant in Hemet is churning out terrible food. I have always loved the menu at APPLEBEES until we ate there the other evening. They have been market testing a table device for ordering and paying for your food. It may be a great toy, but what the plan is to totally replace the wait staff with this device. More jobs out the door by a corporate entity. When I go out to eat, it is for the experience as well as the food. I am already sick of scripted press button phone calls, no bank tellers, self checkout at the grocery and now we will have the same thing at a restaurant. Impersonal service. Worst place in town for service. My husband and I went in yesterday and the place was empty. We stood waiting to be seated for over 20 minutes! No host but plenty of servers walking around talking. A month ago at Applebee's in Hemet, our waiter (David G.) He was discriminative towards my family and I (we being latino). Is no the firts time he do that to us he server us before and always is the same history so i decided to do this review ... was a white family in the booth next to us. He was polite and giving good service , but when it came to us he would wait a long time to get our drinks and bring a orders to us. David's attitude was always in a rush, when we were ordering our food he would tell us that they resturant didn't have this or that item yet the white family had order a few of the same items after us. this waiter wouldn't even bring me a high chair for my nephew saying there is no room for it. Also my son ask for refill he say no to him i'm sorry but the restaurants floor plan was already laid out for them to be used. we had a talk with his manager about his service and seen the manager talking to him about it and david just laugh it off. Being in the service industry myself I have never acted like that in all my time working because I know that my tips depend on the great service I give. I never do that but I didn't leave any tip to him I leave 20 dlls tip to the hoostes he was really nice with us! I'll not go back if that waiter is there! Horrible service.. I have been to this restaurant three times and, each time, there wasn't a host to greet us and we ended up having to wait ten minutes or more to be seated (there wasn't even anyone ahead of us to wait behind!). Went for lunch with my brother from Tahoe. Due to the packed house , thought service would be slow. Definitely not the case. We were seated promptly and the service was exceptional. The food was tasty and quite a bargain. Karen, the server, did an outstanding job! Had the wings as an appetizer split hot/barbecue and the ribs. This was a bad experience. Starting with the dirty/spotted cushions in the "wait area". Here is my problems; 1 I wanted their chips, no salsa (they offer). I prefer guacamole. Not avail. 2 Drinks were slow in arrival 3. Our order of 1 Med steak, was near well on one end, just slightly better on the other. 4. My won-ton dish that included shrimp, served over rice, NO flavor. The shrimp had been steamed. No seasoning, flavoring infused. It was as if the ingredients were layered on some rice. No sauce, dry, salt. I asked my partner to taste & tell me what is the 1st flavor that he taste. His reply, was, there is none. Bingo. We sat for a while, and my partner gave up, & ate. I brought mine home to "fix". 5. The dinner was delivered by someone other than our waiter. Our waiter never came by, until after we were done. 6.
