Hangar One has been in Hemet for a while, and the quality, charm, and speed has not fluctuated in all those years. I went again recently with some friends to grab breakfast, and we called ahead since it was a larger party. They had the long table in the middle set up for us and were quick and ready to get us all seated and served. The inside of the restaurant is small but very charming, with lots of airplane memorabilia and decor. The outside has a nice covered patio where you can actually watch some of the planes taking off or landing if you're lucky with your timing. Our large group got our food out very quickly. I'm so impressed by how fast they work while having the food still tasting fresh and hot. We were especially impressed by the special hot dog one of us ordered (I forgot the exact name), but it was loaded with toppings and she could barely get through half of it. Such a deal! I got the Irish melt and loved the flavor of the corned beef mixed with the coleslaw. The fries were also just crispy enough with a nice, fluffy inside. Of the many other times I've been here, every item has been delicious and affordable! I will continue stopping by for a delicious, quick, and lovey breakfast or brunch any time I'm in the area! read more

Being a regular has its perks! Trying everything on the menu is a plus. Oh, the specials too just ask . The food, service and decor is always pleases me. My mom had Today's special of chip beef/gravy over toast with eggs and hash browns. I had the bacon, cheese omelette, hash browns and biscuits n gravy. My coffee was quick to to table, the refills just as fast. The food should up before I could even get down a 1/2 cup of coffee. The newest updates at the cafe help. They've enlarged the outdoor covered deck seating area and painted the building. So, come hungry leave bursting at your seams or take the extras home for later. read more

Went today 07/10/2026 and sat and watched the waitress doing there job but were having problems with the new cook could not get the orders right, once we order it took 26 minutes to get our food and mine was wrong. Been going there for years over 15 years and never seen a shit show like today. I appears the old cook is no longer there and the new cook appears he can't read english. Service is highly personal and cheerful--very quick--like if you just had a blood test across the street and need breakfast---QUICK!!! The theme is air force airport with hanging model planes and riveted metal borders along the walls. Super cute! All the old guys seem like they have their own plane in the hangar nearby. I wanted to interview them but felt shy. It is definitely a local spot. Like, you could like around there for years and not have a clue. We felt a bit "tourist-y" since we stood out and people stared, but they probably don't get too many outsiders lol. Coffee/Decaf had a good flavor. We sent our sausage back to be grilled more but it came back perfect. Great flavor. Bacon was thicker than most bacons. Eggs tasted buttery so were cooked in butter probably. We were traveling through this area on the way back from Temecula, it was breakfast time, so why not. It was a Sat. morning so I was nervous it might be crowded, but we lucked out and got seated on the patio quickly. Our server was very friendly and took care of us. The food was fine, prepared fresh and reasonably priced. The patio seating is kinda cool being able to observe the planes taking off, etc. We like airport cafes so this was defiantly our jam. I haven't been this happy and satisfied about a restaurant in a loooooooooong time! The food, the atmosphere and the staff were all outstanding! I had the waffles and it smelled and tasted like donuts! But boy when I tasted my sister's order, The Irish Sandwich, the flavors made my tastebuds dance like an 18 year old at the club for the first time. First time here and really wanted to sit outside. When we walked in they said we could sit anywhere so I was surprised to see they had a party waiting for a table outside. Either way still a great time, food was delicious, and coffee had free refills. Wish they had a kids menu but they did give my son a little plane. Very cute but small cafe. read more

The food is fresh and well prepared, the staff is friendly, the place is clean, and let's be honest - it's a cool place to have breakfast or lunch. If the weather permits you can watch aircraft taxiing and taking off from their covered porch. One of their worst kept secret: The Smash Birger is amazing! We heard about this place was passing through and thought we would stop for lunch. It is located at the airport and has a historic charm. Walking in the place is small but cute, we chose the table in the middle and I have to say this place is not very welcoming customer service wise. We were not greeted and noticed another family came in right after us sat down and was waited on immediately while we sat for a good while waiting for menus. They had received drinks and already had their order taken by the time we received menus. I found it odd. The cook actually came out from the kitchen and gave us menus. There were two waitresses in a small establishment and didn't acknowlege us. The waitress finally came over and we were able to order. My mother asked her what the specials were and she was told the breakfast burrito. I heard her tell the next table over that just arrived it was a roast beef sandwich.(they were also waited on as soon as they sat down) So how does the daily special change? The sandwiches were fresh and zucchini fries yummy. However the Ranch dressing was bottled and disguising. My mother didn't care for the breakfast. The corned beef hash tasted and looked like it came out of a can. The Pepsi was flat. I give this place three stars mostly because I think they need to improve their people skills. Ambiance is nice and it probably would be great to have breakfast or lunch on the outside patio if its not too hot. Would I personally come back? Probably not but if you want to try this place I say give it a try. Maybe you will have better experience here . read more

We moved to Hemet recently and while we were house hunting we stopped into this gem! It's such a great local spot especially for breakfast or comfort food. I am so happy we now live close to this place so we can enjoy it often. Hubby had chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy and it was perfect! I ordered a regular 2 egg breakfast and it was cooked exactly how I ordered it. Lots of locals hanging out here - many gentleman and ladies that I bet have some great stories...maybe someday I'll have the privilege of hearing one.
