So much! Needs a manager! Maybe 10 peeps in the establishment and service was pathetic. The Applebees team in the back hoot in and hollering like they were playing craps. For quite a while, several times throughout my overstay. Zero attention to the front. Food took forever, cooked, sat for what appeared to be a lengthy time because it was luke warm. Cleanliness? Behind the bar looked like the aftermath of a basement fraternity party. Hire a manger that will instill a sense of urgency and service industry professionalism. Absolutely terrible experience. It took more than an hour for us to get our food, and somehow it still wasn't even worth the wait. On top of that, it took 30 minutes just to get our drinks. My wife wanted to go to this location for her birthday on 11-13-24 at 10:06pm. When we entered there was no host to greet us. The bar tender looked up at us several times and said nothing. He just continued doing his job. I guess he made the choice to show no hospitality since he was not going to financially benefit from us which I thought was completely unprofessional and disrespectful .Several other team members looked at us and said nothing. We stood at the host stand for about 5 minutes until finally the host came up to seat us. It took a few moments before we were greeted by Kianna. The service was not that great especially when she delivered our food with an unlit cigarette in her right hand. The most we saw her when it was time to pay. After washing my hands in the bathroom I had to use the napkins from my table to dry my hands. My wife's steak was cooked to perfection but it was not seasoned at all. My food was bland and I got it to go. We just moved to this area from Maryland and we really enjoy eating out but if this Applebees is the best Clayton County has to offer then maybe we should not patronize and cook more often. My husband and I placed a curbside/carside to go order online, we pulled up right around our expected time and hit the I'm here button online and waited for about 20 minutes before starting to call the store to see what was taking so long, it took about 10 minutes to get someone on the phone and they were nice in explaining the situation about how they aren't doing curbside because it's busy and we need to come inside to pick it up and they let me know, without asking name or order number, that the food was ready. I feel like carside should not be a service online if not available at the location, some signage should have been posted that they are not doing curbside right now, and maybe instead of having an I'm here button we call the store, but they do need to have a better hand on the phone. Then my husband went in to grab the food and it was not ready like they said it was on the phone and like the estimated time it said it would be ready online and when we did get our food they left a whole entree and side out of it so we had to go back in to get it. This location is nostalgic for me, since we used to come there all the time for half off apps when I went to Clayton State. My friends wanted to meet up around 7 on a Saturday to catch up. We were seated immediately. My friend Aaron and I ended up doing the 2 for $22 which gave us the delicious mozzarella sticks and the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp (my new favorite). My friend Ines ordered boneless buffalo wings and they were pretty good. The Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp was seasoned well (for Applebees) and tasted pretty good. Our waitress was sweet and we enjoyed ourselves. I forgot which drink was featured for $1 but we ordered two of them, so they were pretty good, although weak, but that is expected for $1. My family and I took my Father in law here for his Birthday, because it was a midpoint and it was one of the only things open at 10pm. The service was absolutely horrible!!!!! Our waitress Tatiyanna has no idea how to serve. She didn't write any of our orders down, consequently causing us to have to literally reorder items multiple times. We waited over an hour for coleslaw that was ordered 6 times, and never delivered. We had no refills on our drinks. After ordering the unlimited tenders, we was waited 45mins for the 2nd order, that literally was burnt! The Management was the absolute worst part! Teka was the Manager, she came over our table upset that she had been requested, and stating that they are doing the best that they can. She became argumentative when I asked her if it was typical to order coleslaw 6times or wait 45mins for the second order of tenders. Teka became facetious and stated that she wasn't taking anything off of our bill and walked away. No one asked her to remove or discount anything, even after the terrible food and service we paid the full bill and left a tip for Tatiyanna, because she seemed very new and young, and just had no idea what she was doing. Management is the real issue! If they offered us free meals for a year, we still would refuse to return to this place. Please save your money and eat somewhere else! Horrible Customer Service Was just coming to have a bite to eat, and vibe out. Waited on a table for about 20mins, with open tables. Then when finally getting to the table, it was not up to par. The host was actually picking up crumbs off the table. The table was nasty. Waited another 30mins to not be served at all. A drink order wasn't even offered. Not one, but 2 servers were in the area, and failed to acknowledge the table. To make matters worse. As soon as we were heading to the door to leave, one of the servers then proceeded to pick up the menus faster than lightning! The sad part about the overall experience is, servers are missing out on their money, because tipping is not a problem, when the service is good. On 6/11/2020 I placed a curbside pick order for myself with a pickup time at 1 pm. When I arrive at the location, the text message received from Applebee's was failing multiple times to let the staff know that I've arrived and I'm waiting. So, then, I try to call the restaurant. The phone was either down or busy over several moments because I called over 5 times. Finally, at 1:10 pm, I go in and ask an employee if I can please get my curbside order to let her know my issues with communication and that I would be outside. I gave her my name and she said she would be right out. This whole time, I have a web meeting that I needed to get home and connect with. I'm frustrated with waiting. I go back in and ask a different employee if she could please get my order because I'm running late and they have failed to meet their 1 pm deadline. She says sure and she would be right back. At that time a shift leader-member asked me if everything is ok. I said absolutely not and explained my issue. He said he would take care of it. I said you are the 3rd person to tell me this and I'm about to miss a very important meeting. He goes to the kitchen to facilitate my order which took ten more minutes but did finally arrive with my correct order. I asked him why and how could this happen with the ordering process? My order was basically skipped. He apologized and was empathetic and that he would speak with everyone on shift at that time. I explained that this is a major opportunity for coaching each employee that failed me that day. I know things can happen, but to receive an order 30 minutes late that was placed in a timely manner, is a disservice to the customer and you as a business. This is all feedback to serve the community better in these times where customers truly have a choice on where they want to spend their hard-earned money. read more

OK. on my most recent visit on 10/21, it took us 10-15 min to get seated at 12am, this is understandable, but it also took 20 min for a waiter to come to our table and take our orders. we already knew what we wanted and it was frustrating to see the servers walking back and forth, not busy and also not taking our order. i enjoyed the artichoke dip-- priced half off from the late night menu, and $1 margaritas--dollaritas--$1 for the month of october-- amazing deals! i had a good time with my friends, and although i did not appreciate the slow service, i will undoubtedly be back. read more

We came in around 12am and it took them about 10-15 minutes to seat us. The bar area was packed so there wasn't any first come first serve seating. Even after we were seated, it took about 15-20 minutes for our waitress to come and take our orders. We came in during their October $1 margarita special, dollarita. It was really watered down, and I felt like I was drinking lemonade and not a margarita. You do get what you pay for. After 10pm they have 1/2 off appetizers. We ordered the spinach dip. We were given a side of salsa with it as well. The spinach dip was good for the price. I wanted to order the chicken wonton tacos but I was told that they were out of wontons. I've had it before and it's probably one of my favorite appetizers from them. The flavors blend well together and it's a pretty light appetizer. Despite the service I love Applebee's and their food. I'm only leaving one star because of the nice hostess. She was really sweet and able to seat us immediately. The issue is that we waited for 20mins and no one came to our table to greet us or even give us water. We followed up with the hostess who let us know that she spoke with the server and he'd be with us. She pointed him out and it just so happened to be a man that walked by our table several times without acknowledging us, although we made eye contact. There were three different groups of people that walked in after us that were immediately attended to. We walked out due to the lack of service.
