Pretty Good Wings and the fried rice is great! My sister and I checked out happy hour last Tuesday and I Was pleasantly surprised. This place is really a sports bar in the Café. They have a lot of amazingly big flat screen TVs all over the place, A lot of seating, a full bar in good service. On this day the drink specials were vodka drinks- lol .... All vodka drinks! So we ordered Cicro and cranberry juice.....only 1- I'm a light weight. We also ordered some wings, catfish and fried rice.. everything was really good! No thanks to the menu. Nothing jumped out at me and they wouldn't allow all flats on a wing order. This is probably a good place to hang out for karaoke but not for drinks. My friend ordered a REGULAR MARGARITA and it was $18. My Long Beach Tea was $14. Not cool. I don't know who was cooking, but nothing we ordered was good. I ordered oysters to start. When they arrived they looked like someone had just melted a slice of cheese over them. They tasted even worse. It was like they didn't even try to season them or make them taste good. The hot sauce we were provided made them edible. I also ordered a chicken philly and the onions and mushrooms on the sandwich tasted better than the chicken. The chicken was dry and hard to swallow, so I took it off the sandwich and only ate the mushrooms, onions, cheese, and bread. The cheese on the sandwich tasted like the cheese on the oysters and it too was hard to take. The food was a huge disappointment. I won't order food here if I ever return. My friend ordered wings that she liked. Her drink was really strong; which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There is a lot of parking available in the lot, but we went on a Thursday night so it wasn't busy. There was no DJ so we could talk to one another without yelling. The bathroom, Lord, there was toilet paper all over the floor. There were at least 4 servers working at the time I was there. They spent quite a bit of time talking amongst each other next to the bar. Our server was new and training. She never refilled our drinks, but she was nice. Only reason why I am giving this place 1 star is because of bad customer experience. I was charged 52.99 from a my check but debited another. When I called the restaurant to talk to the manager he had the audacity to argue with me and blame the up charge on my bank. Like I said to him, and I'll say again, THE WAITRESS DEBITED MY ACCOUNT TO ADD A TIP. This is why when I tip, I only pay with cash cause waitresses making up their own tips isn't unheard of. Instead of trying to cater to the customer, he argued with me on the phone for -5 minutes. The only reason the argument ended is because I hung up. The bartender, Shanay in the back room, was very disrespectful. Went on 3/30 and she brought a tab to a lady in our party saying she owed money from a tab from 3/5. The young lady proceeded to tell them that wasn't her tab and her male friends took care of everything that night. Proceeded to speak with the owner, Asian guy, and he was very nasty. He was disrespectful and put one of the guys out because he asked him not to speak to the ladies like degrading them. I will NEVER support this spot and there are plenty of black owned with the same atmosphere and respect your money. I don't tend to frequent Sports Cafe's or Bars unless my BF is in town. But I actually like this place. I have come here off and on for the past year. I always get the same thing. Wings, with Fried Rice or Fries. They have an Wing meal special for $8 every Wednesday. They have a daily "Special". I would call ahead to see if the weekend (Fri-Sun) are included in the Special. It's very dark inside so I like going early in the day. It get soooo crowded in here at night but I guess that's a good thing if you are looking for a new Boo, so I won't hate. When it's not busy then your food will come out fairly fast, good and hot. If it's busy then it'll still be good and hot, but be prepared to come with your patience! read more

this review is not opinionated it is a FACT, on 5/9/24 around 7pm i went to the sports cafe to have some drinks, food and watch the game but unfortunately it never happened. I sat at a table because the bar was full, and no one came out to greet me so when seating was available at the bar i went there, and the bar tender, i think her name was Brittany or Brianna she had short hair slim body frame and seem to have a bubbly personality towards others, except ME, i was totally IGNORED! she was busy but after 25 minutes i politely reached out to her three times and i was ignored, but the third time she unpleasantly responded and i ordered a drink but NEVER got it, she looked at me several time and still never even offered a menu or to see if i'm ok, just in case if she forgot but no, it was intentional and i felt very unwelcome, i'm sure they are some great workers there but that one person which i'm sure that they are normally serving at the bar gave me the absolute worst guest experience that i ever had. Think about it, a place that does not greet there guest/customers is not good for any business, basically saying that you don't want my money and i'm a black man i just wanted to add that because those of you that have been to the "sports cafe" knows that the staff is predominantly African American, so i can't use the race card! i ended up leaving because no one wanted to serve me, and they were others that witness my experience. read more
