The Wonton tacos were amazing. the Fiesta Lime Chicken was very good, as were the Whiskey Bacon Burgers. the fries great too, nice and crunchy. Service was very good. It was so nice to have the manager stop by for a table visit. i rarely see table visits by managers, even in high end restaurants. She was a very nice lady and thanked us for coming in. After not having been to an Applebee's in YEARS, we popped in for dinner. Service was slooowwww. Food was disappointing - I got the ribs (you know, the ones they used to sing about) and they were half delicious, half really dry. The mac & cheese was creamy. Broccoli was fine. No one dropped by to check how things were after we got ourfood, though the person doing our food off did ask if we needed anything else. Ah, and we were sat in the mostly empty space and then had another couple sat on the other side of the half-wall, which made it feel like we were having dinner with them. It was odd. You've got a whole section, can ya space diners out a little? Just... strange atmosphere. Where another chain has successfully pivoted, Applebee's seems to be simply coasting by. when we came in, I thought wow we got a really good waitress her name was Johnally It went good at first until they gave her too many tables and she wasn't able to wait on the tables like she should've been. We sat there quite a while, waiting for boxes and then the boxes weren't right. She went back but before that she stopped at other tables it seemed like forever she came back twice with bought different boxes. We were never asked if we wanted something more to drink. I'm not blaming her. I'm blaming the management. also, I ordered the quesadilla and honestly, the chicken looked like it already been chewed up. It was disgusting. I will never buy food from them again in Lakewood or ever do any business with them ever again after what day did I ordered on Uber Eats by accident food from them and then cancel it was done on accident wasn't even supposed to go through or anything like that. Just automatically did it on my Apple wallet cancel it immediately. Uber eats then tells me they would not refund me my money even though we never received the food it was never even delivered to us or even I called Applebee's asking them to take care of this issue. They would not take care of it. At first like they were going to take care of it and fix the problem but then they did not. It was just a game and a waste of my time and basically I drew away $55 for nothing so they can enjoy it themselves and take our money out of people that worked very hard for their money and have children to and everything so yes, they are the worst of the worst and I will never do business with them again after they've done this. We stopped going to our neighborhood Applebee's on 5250 S. Wadsworth in Lakewood Co. a few months back and made the drive about fifteen minutes away to the West Colfax location because of the great food and service they provide. Well, we tried the Wadsworth location today and really regretted it again. We ordered the hand battered fish with a side salad. The meal came out after a few minutes and dropped at our table. The second the server walked away we noticed the large plate of fries with our meal which is at least a third of the meal was cold. Our fish was warm at best. So we just ate our fish hoping to have eaten our fries with the fish, but the server never came back. About ten minutes later we saw the manager about five yards away talking to another table and had to scream out three times to get her attention and she introduced herself as the manager. We explained our predicament and she left to get us an order of edible fries even though we had eaten what we had on our plates. Okay she never came back. Then our server emerged about five minutes later and we told him that we had to send the manager for part of our dinner and she didn't return. Finally, after twenty minutes my wife and I ate fries together and that was kind of weird. The last thing all of us want to do is complain about the service and really want to enjoy the time out especially at these prices for food. We will go back to driving fifteen minutes away, but I wonder if the manager should handle these ongoing problems or learn to treat customers as she would like to be treated when dining out. read more

I have changed my opinion about this place. Ordered curbside pickup using iPhone app. I got a text message saying they knew I had arrived when I got there. They never brought the food out until i called the restaurant from the curbside pickup area 20 minutes later. The young lady brings my food out 20 minutes late and cold. She tells me I need to pay for it. I already paid for it when I ordered it online. I take the cold food and leave. Someone from the restaurant calls me a minute later and accuses me of theft and not paying for the meal. Call the restaurant when I get home and speak to the on duty manager. She says she can see in the computer that I did pay for the meal and asked me to confirm the last 4 of my credit card. She admits that her staff is new and don't know what they are doing. She offered to give me a credit for the cold meal. I asked her to refund the credit card. She agreed to the refund. While I am on the phone dealing with this mess, the dog steals my meal from the kitchen table. Dogs don't mind cold sandwiches and soggy fries it seems. We did a Togo order since that is all we can do as of right now. I was very please with what we had received we did the 2 for $20 which is an amazing deal if they are still doing this when you order! We created our order online drove up to a spot and they brought out our food witching 3 minutes of pulling up. The food was delicious. Honestly the southwest steak bowl was amazing and I will definitely be getting this through them again. It was very filling and had plenty of flavor. We were alittle sad with the small amount of fries they gave for the burger but that is okay we had mozzarella sticks to make up for that. With the 2 for $20 you get one appetizer and two entrees from a list off the menu. Honestly a great value for what you are getting and this particular location was fast friendly and did get our order correct. We will be ordering from them again in the near future. read more

What an absolute sh*t show this place is. We came here for dinner on Sunday night. After a short wait we were seated, it the took over 10 mins for anyone to touch our table. Managers walked by, other servers, the host and still nothing. Finally after the poor girl came by, she's new so I don't blame her I blame management, she took our order. It had taken so long that now our drinks were not on happy hour which isn't a huge deal but annoying. All the while the manager is just standing around without a care in the world. We saw our server maybe 4 times in the 1:30 it took us to get out of that place. Such a horrible experience that I doubt we will be back. If the management is that lazy the servers will follow suit. Shocked to see this place only got two stars! We come here often, especially during their promotions, and have been for years. It's always good (the pecan butter blondie is ASTOUNDING) and the atmosphere is chill and features a lot of the local high school teams. What really shined this visit however was our waiter! He was very attentive despite being so busy, made sure to accommodate our needs, and even filled up my water over 6 times! Not only that, but after the meal, our car broke down in the parking lot. The second I came back into the restaurant he noticed and immediately came over to ensure everything was alright. Went above and beyond, when two employees helped jump-start my car. On April 22 my mom and I went to the restaurant. We were seated promptly and our waitress was nice. Our food on the other hand came to us cold. Well, the ribs did any way. They may have warmed the ribs but then they slathered them with cold or room temp BBQ sauce. All other food brought out was good. Reported to the manager and she took care of it right away bring us new platrs with fresh HOT ribs. Then I had to use the men's room. Boy was that a mistake. I couldn't believe how filthy that restroom was. The floor hadn't been mopped all shift if not for at least a day, the handicapped stall was being used as a trash bin with paper towels and tissue on the floor. And it smelled. I was there yesterday and it was a total disappointment. I ordered the new chicken bacon cheddar crispy sandwich. The waitress brought it out with no bacon and had ranch dressing on it. I told her very politely that it was incorrect and she proceeded to tell me that is how it is made. She asked if I wanted a new one made correctly and I said yes. 4 of us dropped in after a family event in Aurora 11/20 around 2:30 pm and the place had maybe 3 tables. We usually go to the location in Westminster which always has great service. Took forever to be seated. Waitress took forever to come take our order and when she did she acted visibly overwhelmed and unexcited to be working. Young women didn't say her name. Must be new, our table plus 2 others is not a big deal. After some time she noticed we needed refills and asked, we said yes and she never came back. An old guy in a pink shirt finally got us our food and we let him know we were waiting on refills from the waitress for quite sometime. He was very down and just had a poor attitude. We sat there with entrees and no drinks for around 10 minutes. Tried to politely flag her down when she finally strolled by. Made eye contact and ignored us. Had to flag down the guy in the pink shirt again, guessing he was the manager to get our refills. Won't be back to this location. Definitely mismanaged and the employees hate their life and it shows. Shouldn't have to beg for a refill on water and iced tea. Very sad. read more

This evening I decided to take a risk and go to Applebee's at the first time. Usually when I get lifted and eat out I go to Chili's. When we walked in the building I was quickly greeted by the insanely cold temperature in the establishment . I ordered light ice in my water because it was so cold. I was eating with my two best pals! . Quickly we were greeted by our server Dean. After being seated we received our menus which are poorly presented. Little to no pictures, everything jumbled together a very hard read.( I believe all menus should have pictures) We ordered two double crunch shrimp plates and one Mac and cheese honey glazed chicken. Dean brought out the wrong order! We received two honey glazed chicken Mac and cheeses and only 1 breaded shrimp. My pal was very ambitious to receive the shrimp however he had to eat the Mac and cheese w chicken, but it had bacon in it (which we would've known about if the menu had pictures, or actually said it had bacon)! Our Muslim counterpart cannot eat bacon so he had to return the food. Thankfully dean brought a secondary Alfredo plate in a timely fashion. In addition Dean remembered that I ordered light ice and gave me light ice on all three of my refills, thank you dean! Overall the food food was meeeh. And the service was meeeeh but it was a good time and that's all that matters. Regrettably I will probably not be returning to an Applebee's anytime soon. I will continue to go to Chile's when I get lifted. If you ever find yourself in a situation in which you are considering the Applebee's off of Wadsworth, take the short trip across the parking lot to the superior establishment Chili's. . I'm not a big fan of Applebee's, but my dad loves it. We ended up going two nights in a row as my dad had a couple gift cards he wanted to use. Our first experience was fine. Quick seating, my dad was very pleased with his food as was I. The first night this location was almost empty when we arrived. No issues. On our second night this location was busier than the previous night but maybe at half capacity seating. I counted 6 servers not including bartenders so it seemed like they were able to accommodate more people. When we arrived there were a couple members of a 10 person party waiting and us. We were 4 adults and one toddler. The host was very confused on how to seat a toddler, so he had us wait 10 minutes. After he paced around the restaurant 3 times he talked to his manager (who was hiding just inside the kitchen) and then came back out to talk to bartender. The bartender said loudly "they'll just have to wait". The host paced around again and then helped a pair of new arrivals. The host didn't talk to us again. We decided to leave as it wasn't worth the wait. While we were putting our coats back on a woman in the bar fell out of her seat. We saw no staff address the woman (plenty of patrons did) and the manager stayed in the kitchen (though may have been on the phone to emergency services as ambulance arrived as we were outside). I work in hospitality and the problem solving skills of this team were scary. I wouldn't want to visit when this location was actually busy. read more

I'm not to much of a fan of a corporations take on frozen food, or paying an arm and a leg for it, so I don't eat here often. Except for a few items on the happy hour menu, and depending on the cook, it can go either way towards pleasure or pain. What I do like is the atmosphere and their two daily happy-hours, which provide this rather lame and boring neighborhood a place to get out of the house. Got a to go order last night. I used to eat at Applebees in the 90's and it was good. The only edible thing was a burger and fries and mashed potatoes. My son got the burger- hubby and I got steaks. I had broccoli with mine and it tasted like fish.. bad sign! The steaks- also fishy and disgusting. The dogs enjoyed it! He and I both got very upset stomachs fr maybe a bite. Stopped in after an evening movie for a quick bite before heading home and had not been to an APPLEBEES for many years and now I remember why. My husband ordered the double crunchy shrimp and I ordered the baby back ribs. Shrimp Came out of a cardboard box and my ribs were dry and tasted like they had been prepared a week ago and reheated. Is three stars too high? Maybe, but 2 stars is too low. Applebee's is a once a decade choice for me and the wife. Why not check back before 2020 to see if the restaurant has improved. The food was the same. The artichoke spinach dip tasted like it had been heated up from frozen since our last visit in '09. How kind of them to save it for us. The chili lime chicken was ok, but so smothered with a special sauce, I couldn't verify if it was quality meat. My wife's chicken pasta was decent, but a bit oily. I will say that their Diet Pepsi was great. The server was kind. She refilled our drinks often which was a plus. She was a sweet girl, which was apparent by the gnarly hickey on her neck. Either way, she was kind and helpful. It was her service and the drinks that bumped us to 3 stars. We had a gift card for 5 years and finally decided to cash it in. I liked this location. The interior is not updated like some of the others, still a bit more old school, but that doesn't bother me. They did have a lot more wait staff working and were very attentive. Drinks and food were good, no complaints. They even dealt with the little Monsters running around ( 2 and 4 years old). read more
