I constantly have to wait for my orders even when I've order them hours earlier. Hardly ever get my orders on time of the posting time.

This place is very awful. We just ate here tonight and took over an hour to get our food and we got it in portions. The silverware was thrown on the table not even in napkins and the bathrooms were disgusting. Our waitress kept forgetting to grab things for us that we asked for and the place is not busy so they have no excuse for the wait to be this long. read more

We did not have a good nite upon entering and finding the wait was at least 30 min at 530pm. Upon looking around we saw many empty tables and a full waiting area. Shortage of waiters and a busy "to go" nite was the answer for the long wait. We decided to try any way and after 35 min we got seated, During this wait many people ate and left but very few of the tables refilled. Kitchen backed up was the answer. We ordered, the staff being very apologetic and got our food in about 25 min. Food was very good and by the time we finished eating a few more people were being seated. It seems like the "take out" business was more important than the customers, do not know what the answer should be and it seems like this is a common problem in these Covid times, but I do know we won't be back to do this again in the near future. read more

Bad, even by Applebee's standards. I'm going to start by gushing over our server, Josh. Josh was happy, upbeat, attentive, super nice without feeling like he was faking it. I noticed it with our family, but also when we was walking around taking care of his other tables as well. Finding a server like Josh is a rarity, he was excellently on-point. Josh is the only reason there are any stars on this review. Josh got 5 stars, Applebee's gets zero. We started with onion rings, our entire family loved them. Crispy, not greasy, everything you want in an onion ring. So things started off very well. And then *bam* hard left turn. My wife's steak was more or less a rock. She didn't finish it, it was so tough, hard, leathery, like a catcher's mitt. The kids meals were burgers, fries, and chicken strips. Burgers were burnt, and chicken strips, I could have stabbed someone to death with them, they were that hard. My cavatappi pasta was the worst thing I've put in my mouth. The sauce was watered down, the chicken was 1/3 of a chicken breast, hacked up into dust, and thrown on top. It was more of a soup than a pasta dish. This meal was so gross, for all of us. Not even the perfect service of Josh could salvage the terrible food served here. We didn't take any of our food home that's how bad it was. Put it in the trash where it belongs. read more

Sadly so many people rave about Applebee's and there are so many other actually good sports bars all over the area! The food always tastes like it was microwaved. I have even had dip come out frozen in the middle. And it's all subpar and disappointing! But the worst thing I have run into a few times at this location is rude staff! Had a waiter ask me if I was sure if all I wanted was a salad. (Yes I'm a larger lady but seriously). And I've heard staff members gossiping near the kitchen and saying some pretty appalling things. And work is not where you go to do that. In customer ear shot. And the manager did nothing when my friend complained! Overall it's microwaved bar food and over priced drinks with bad service! 1 star for the husker decorations. But there are way better local places to go!!! And it's never really cleaned well. Our server was lackluster and flustered. She made it obviously did not want another table. We got there about an hour and a half after the NE game, with a table of 8. Even before we were done eating, she was putting the checks on the table. The chips that were with the spinach artichoke dip were oily and super gross. I admit when it comes to restaurants I'm a little snobby with the whole "boo to chains, go local all the way" kind of person. It's been a long time since I've eaten at an Applebee's and I was pleased to see quite a repertoire of good options in their menu and at all sorts of great prices. Honestly my family and I had been eating out every day for about 5 days and we where getting tired of it. So I was looking for a lighter fare and found for $1.29 grilled veggies, garlic green beans, and a tomato soup for 4.50 ish. Service was friendly too, no complaints there. The reason for the one star knock off was that my grilled veggies seemed incomplete. So it was supposed to have zucchini, cucumber and red bell pepper. Well I got a nice big piece of the first two, but 2 meager little wilted pieces of the bell pepper. I thought to myself "come on, the BOH has 3 pieces of veggies to grill and they failed to give a decent portion of one" tisk tisk. Again, besides, that great prices, service, good food. read more

I went here on Thanksgiving day. It was great they were open on Thanksgiving day but the service was very poor. The restaurant was full with only a few wait staff, so the time taken for ordering and food service was enormous. I ordered bourbon skillet with chicken and shrimp. The chicken was tough and the whole dish did not have enough salt and seasoning. Overall it was not a great tasting dish and the rating I've given is simply because of the restaurant being open on thanksgiving day. read more

Standard Applebee's fare. Staff were all normal, except the one I saw in the bathroom who did a 5-second wash job after using the toilet. Fortunately she wasn't our server. I like the updated menu, although I'm sad they got rid of the sliders. Burgers were cooked tastily and the buns are good, a kind of sweet bread. read more

Applebee's is a great place to go if you're on a budget and wanting to have a good time with friends! The food is okay. It's not like a 5 star restaurant, but the prices are great. After 9pm everyday they have 45 cent wings which are good if you're really hungry and wanting to eat unhealthy. A basket of fries is also a dollar! Every Thursday or Friday night (depending on location) they hold a karaoke night! It's really fun if you want to have a night out with friends. The service is great and the people are always so nice. If you go to the one on 27th, ask for Bryan! He's awesome. Just don't expect amazing food. It's a great environment though :) read more

This is by far my absolute favorite Applebees location. No matter how busy they are, what time of day it is, they always treat me like I and/or my party are their favorite customers. We get greeted with smiles, and the doors opened for us and always say "welcome back" and ask how we've been or how old the baby is now, or what he's doing. It's great. I have never been disappointed by the food. It's always well cooked, and has good flavor. When I go to Applebees it's usually because I have a specific thing on my mind, or an item of theirs that I am craving and I am never disappointed. Another reviewer called their menu "canned" and yes, it is. But sometimes that can be a comfort because you always know what to expect. When I want something "different" I go to a place that serves "different" and there are plenty in town. When I want exactly what I want, the way I am used to getting it and satisfy a craving, I go to Applebees. The only thing I don't particularly like...and this is a very little grunt, on their kids menu they have Kraft macaroni and Cheese...a very good item to have, however they charge you about 5 tiimes what you would buy it for in the store. I am not really a fan of price gouging, and I consider this a big gouge! read more

Been a regular for awhile now. Good food, great atmosphere, good prices. The staff are the best, especially the bartenders. Not sure if you get nachos at a table, but you do at the bar. We went there last night. I had the bourbon street steak, and my wife had napa chicken and Portobello's. Both very good. We found out too late that they had a special on Long island iced teas. $3.50 per. Appears to be all the time. We will be back, if only for the drinks. The place is always busy and there is usually a wait. We ate at the bar. Very easy to do. I can recommend this chain very easily. And it's good at all the locations we've tried. Maybe I am a bit grouchy because I am the mother is 2 little girls, but it was so slow....which I have no patience for when it is not busy. Before I include anything on this review, I'd like it clearly stated that I hardly ever gripe about restaurant service and before coming I had very low expectations because, well, it's Applebee's. If this visit was up to regular, quick service and "okay food" Applebee's standards, I would have given 5 stars. Upon arrival, it was busy and it was expected that my family of 5 would have to wait awhile, no big deal. That was until I saw several large parties who got on the wait list after us get seated. We had been waiting almost 45 minutes with clear view of many open tables. The hostess seemed very preoccupied, gossiping with her co workers and catching up with her friends that were stopping in however, I thought it was strange so I checked out the list at the host stand and sure enough, we were before multiple larger groups who were sat before us. Miraculously, after I brought this up, they quickly sat us next....at a table right next to the door....it was twenty degrees outside. It was about 15 more minutes before we saw our server and another 15 before we got our drinks.... on a Wednesday. Our server was racing to and from our table so quickly that we could not actually get a word in with her. We ordered two appetizers and only recieved one. My wife ordered a limeade, they brought her a lemonade. I politely asked them to correct it and they brought her what I would describe as concentrated flavoring syrup, thick like pure grenadine in a glass that was overflowing with some sort of crushed ice, snow cone mixture. I again, very politely and patiently brought this to their attention and my wife asked nicely of she could just have a glass of water. When it came time for our food to come, we had no silverware. We used several pleasantries while asking nicely for silverware and were quickly treated to sitting in front of our food for 15-20 minutes without utensils to eat it with. Then came the bill.... We were charged for the lemonade we didn't order and the sugary slurry that we very kindly rejected. Maintaining patient composure I asked for those items to be removed to which the server agreed but had to get approval from the manager, who I might add took the time to ask the table behind us how their visit was going but didn't bother to stop by our booth. But really? Manager approval to remove items from a bill that shouldn't be there in the first place? I have worked several jobs in the food service industry and clearly understand that things happen, but enough ranting. I'm not trying to be harsh or have unrealistic expectations. We went to Applebee's, expecting exactly what Applebee's has to offer. Instead what we experienced was something that even a fast food restaurant like McDonald's or Burger King would be ashamed of. No one should have to spend several hours at a quick service sit down joint. read more

I understand leaving a bad Applebee's review seems arbitrary because nobody ever actually has a GOOD experience there, however my last trip there was so awful I had to write a review. First, we arrived right at 9 so we could get happs before they close at 10. (Happs starts at 9 on weekdays.... or so we thought). During the week half price apps are from 9pm to 10pm. I guess Friday's are different... When we got to Applebees, there was no hostess, so us and another pair waited in the entryway, but eventually someone came up and asked for our names, then left. The restaurant wasn't full at all btw, usually they're very busy, but they weren't busy this time. We weren't told there would be a wait or anything, she just got our names and left. Once we were seated, we ordered drinks and appetizers. When the waitress took our order she specifically mentioned how she was putting the appetizers in the system as half price (she didn't at first and then changed it which is why she had said it out loud). Then we waited about 10-15 minutes for our drinks, which we had to go to the bar and ask for ourself, because our waitress wasn't getting them from the bar where they had been sitting for about 5 minutes on the counter. The bartender brought them and said our waitress is too young and needed to ask someone else to bring them, but clearly she hadn't considering how long the drinks sat on the bar. Then we got our food which was normal. Once the check came, we paid asap. When she brought the receipt for us to sign, we were very confused as to why the total was over $40 when all we got were three half priced apps and two $5 drinks. Our waitress then informed us that there are no half pieced apps on Friday's. Even After telling us she put them in as half price. Since microwaved wings and mozzarella sticks are clearly not worth $40, we asked the manager about our total and explained how we were told it was half price, to which she replied that she meant to actually fix our tab earlier but was just so busy. She ended up taking off one appetizer from the total, so we did get a little money back. But when the website, and our server told us appetizers were half price, when we were surprised with a $40+ bill.... we were very frustrated. All on top of insanely slow and disorganized service. read more

Rudest staff I've ever encountered. I came here tired and hungry at 10:20 on a Sunday night. The sign on the door said they were open till 11. I stood at the entry for 7 or 8 minutes as staff passed by, never even achnoledging myself and my sister. I made eye contact with at least 4 people and each of them walked the other way. Applebee's is Applebee's. The Menu is canned, there is no original creation. Its the same food in every market, with subtle local differences. While on a trip to Lincoln NE, I wanted to try a more local non chain restaurant, however my wants were trumped by some of the family I was traveling with who are not as adventurous as I. With that being said, I would like to review a brown ale which the good folks at applebee's were serving from a local brewery in Lincoln Nebraska. Empyrean, Third Stone Brown ale. When we arrived at TGI-McFunsters (Applebee's) I was drawn to 2 things, it was happy hour and .39 cent wing night. I didn't expect much for the wings, canned sauce on pre baked/fried wings and my expectations were met with flying colors. The happy hour meant that the brewtus (24 oz) pilsner glass of their premium draft was three dollars. Seeing that this brown ale was the most original / local flavor on the entire menu I wanted to give it a go. Well, I gave it a go and there it went. It was a mediocre brown ale. The nuttiness associated with brown ale was lacking. It didn't have any sweet caramel undertones that I could detect. Right off I asked the bartender to verify this was a brown ale. He did and I shrugged it off. At least I can say I tried it. I wonder if bud light tastes the same in Lincoln... Word. read more

Very disappointing experience and wouldn't return. Poor service and the food was very late to arrive. On top of that it came out in shifts so we could not eat at the same time as a family. No utensils provided and when asked for utensils they brought them out wet and they had food particles on them. We asked for different, clean utensils. They again brought out wet utensils with food particles on them. The manager was actually argumentative about a request for clean, dry utensils that didn't have food particles on them. The young host with the swoop hairdo acted as bored as could be like he didn't want to be bothered. Our server who was supposed to be training was all over us constantly looking to get our order. Then we were served our appetizer with no plates. The waitress got my order wrong but they did correct it. The food is what you come to expect from an applebee's. The thing that really upset me was the fact a waitress getting off went to get car and got a new born puppy, proceed to bring it to the wait area right in front of the kitchen then let the staff pet and hold the puppy. There was ABSOLUTELY NO WAY any of those staff members went and washed their hands after holding/petting the puppy before handling the customers food/cups. read more

This location definitely fulfills the usual Applebee's expectations. My cousin and I are vegetarians, and while there isn't a lot of veggie-friendly food on the menu, they happily served a grilled cheese for me and a pasta dish for her. Our server was incredibly nice and very energetic, which was nice since we were there very late at night after a long travel day. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. A disappointment. At least 4 disappointing visits before I stopped coming in altogether. I expect excellent food from applebee's but a fail everytime. One example, the brisket nachos. Burned chips, hardened cheese, maybe one ounce of meat and, wait for it.... Cold. I expect cold nachos from Buffalo Wild Wings but, how do you burn it and then serve it cold. Compared to most Applebee's we were seated and served quickly. The food took a while but we were there late so most people were ordering appetizers. My mushroom burger was very good! And the shrimp & broccoli was also very good. The fries and drink weren't good but average compared to other Applebee's. The server was friendly and helpful. read more

THIS SPECIFIC ADDRESS. until this time Ive had it, I payed $35 add tip to that, food was supposed to be delivered at a certain time, took well over 40 minutes after that... called to cancel my order they told me they couldn't cancel or refund because they never get the money online directly to them.. WEIRD But ok I. Called Applebee's back and they said they couldn't do anything but just give me coupons! Are you serious coupons?? I'm missing more than half of my order ($35). Lady said they couldn't do anything about it. Called back because attitude was in the ways I proceeded to speaking with a manager and they put robin on the phone and ohhhh my goodness, the rudest MANGER EVER did not act like a manager what's so ever, spoke over me, told me basically that I was lying saying that one of her employees never offered me coupons for the mistakes they made, WILL NOT EVER BUY FROM APPLEBEES EVER AGAIN.
