Wife and I both got the chicken. The chicken is always tender and juicy. The waitress was very attentive and always there for a refill. Food was good and service was great. The young lady was amazing. It was a little warm in the place and toward the end of our meal one of the managers finally closed the blinds and it was much better. If it's too hot and the sun is coming through I'd suggest requesting they close the blinds when you sit down. read more

We ordered a family Thanksgiving meal since I was unable to do kitchen duty this year. You don't expect it to taste like your Grandma's favorite recipes, but this meal was rock bottom! Green bean casserole with only canned beans and fried onions. Nothing else. cheesy potatoes dry and underdone. Turkey dry, with super salty gravy. CrackerBarrel has gotten rid of nearly all meals that included beef of any type. Pay attention to whats going on in your country people. This isnt just some random decision CrackerBarrel made to alienate their customers. Your country is being invaded and these corporations are all in on whats happening. Let me explain what youre seeing at crackerbarrel.... Muslims and Indians idolize cows, they even have holidays honoring cows. In India one of those celebrations involves the indian people filling the streets with cow dung and playing in. Grown, men, women, and children playing in tons of cow dung. Beef was removed from CrackerBarrels menu because it is offensive to the Muslims. Got that? You had dam well better wake up White America. Back to my supper this evening, they had no Beef so i ordered their meatloaf and a grilled catfish. Both were absolutely horrible. The meatloaf has the texture of poached hamburger versus being cooked in an oven of any type. The grilled catfish had the exact same texture and taste, as if it had been poached not grilled. The food has taken a nose dive right into the garbage, I know for a fact that every restaurant you go to it's always about the cooks however, they must have had long ongoing years worth of bad cooks because for at least three years the food has been consistently terrible. Meats are dry or no flavor, even basic things like the eggs over cooked. Please cracker barrel do better in hiring good cooks. I'd make them cook you at least three things on the menu and taste them yourself before you hire them. That should be your interview process. read more

This was my first time eating at a cracker barrel in a few years. And I have to say it was better than expected. I used to get uncle hershals breakfast and it wasn't on the menu anymore. :c So I tried something new. The bacon hashbrown casserole. It's a double order of the hashbrown casserole with cheese, egg, more cheese, bacon , diced tomatoes and french fries onions. I got a few biscuits on the side too. This dish was better than expected and I would get it again. They also have a mocha coffee. Of course it isn't as good as what you'd get at an actual coffee shop but it was still pretty good. This is across the street from the Husker Auto dealerships off of 26th Street in Lincoln. I decided to walk over for breakfast and this place did not disappoint me. I was quickly seated and given a hot cup of coffee. The Chicken Fried Steak with beef along with the hashbrown casserole was perfectly cooked. The breading on the steak did not fall off as in many other places who cook this dish. The server checked up several times, bringing me refills of coffee. The price was very fair, and the ambiance was great to relax during a chilly morning. Great place to have breakfast in Lincoln. read more

We tend to dine at Cracker Barrel whenever we are on the road, as we travel LOTS. This was no exception, as we were returning from a nice week vacation in Colorado, and found ourselves at the Cracker Barrel in Lincoln, NE. We arrived on a Sunday eve., and it was about the dinner rush time, but were seated immediately. Both wife and I knew what we wanted, so when the waitress arrived, we gave her our drink and food order. I had the Country Fried Steak with coleslaw and carrots, and my wife had the meat loaf dinner, also with slaw and carrots. Both our meals were excellent. I really cannot say anything bad about this trip to Cracker Barrel, and I know too that we will return to another soon. Another thing I noted, was that while we were dining, someone came by with a small broom, cleaning up debris, etc. on the floor, which can certainly cause a hazard if left untouched. Good job! OK, here ya go. Waiting for the restroom review like other reviews of mine, aren't you? Surprisingly, at this hour of the day, and with as many customers coming through as they had, the restrooms were tidy. VERY welcomed by travelers such as us. It took 2 hours to eat. 45 minute wait to be seated and had to get up and get the manager just to get water at the table. Service was super slow and they forgot to put part of the food on my plate before serving it. Never refilled my water. Fried chicken seemed over-cooked or left over. The last time I went to a Cracker Barrel restaurant I had a terrible breakfast but I knew they had to be better than my first experience. The place was popping but I was greeted and seated promptly. I ordered the French Dip with a salad as a side and an iced tea. The food took a while but when it arrived it was delicious. A generous portion of tender beef on a delicious roll. My server was Riley and she was great, smiling and checking back often but not too much to see if I needed anything. Admittedly it's been at least 8 years since I have been to any Cracker Barrel and 15 years since I have been to this location. The menu has shrunk to basically 3 options for breakfast.... I'm not sure if this was because of the addition of alcohol to the menu but seriously - bring back the breakfast menu. I had the old timers. My over hard eggs were RAW in the middle, my bacon was underdone and my husbands bacon was burned. Our biscuits were cold and doughy. It's a rough day when the grits and coffee are the highlight of a meal. Our waitress was pleasant and kept the coffee coming but was trying to clear plates before we were done eating. This is Cracker barrel on North 27th Street Lincoln, Nebraska. Apparently they are now running an RV salvage yard in the parking lot. These people have set up a homestead of junk trailers in the Cracker Barrel parking lot for the last TWO WEEKS. They are not traveling and they are not tourists. I have been watching these people migrate around North Lincoln since last December. These people do not work, these are the same people you see standing in the median between lanes over by Walmart on North 27th street pandering for money every day. They have generators sitting in the parking lot, garbage, grills, lawn chairs and all the comforts of home. Since Cracker Barrel has apparently seen fit to allow this in the City new guests have started arriving just down the road near Tractor Supply as well. Nothing like living rent free in a junk trailer parked on the public right of way. I will get you the good pictures tomorrow during daylight hours. At 0230 hours i stopped at the Phillip 66 to get some soda and gasoline. I looked across the lot and the cracker barrel residents in trailer #1 were outside playing around in nothing but shorts, no shoes, no shirts, just shorts as if they are at some luxury resort. These are grown adults mind you , not children. Resident #3 had the hood open on his pickup truck, apparently this was a good time to perform engine maintenance or who knows what. Wait until the rest of society goes to sleep and then start the creeping around at wee hours in the morning. Notice the ton of garbage hanging on the back of resident #3's dilapidated trailer in the attached image. The resident #4 that moved into the public right of way down the street by tractor supply was spotted riding a bicycle at 0230 in the morning pulling a home made trailer loaded with whatever garbage or belongings he gathered after the sun went down. This usually involves stealing items that others have donated at the local drop boxes near hyvee and super saver and where ever else. My assumption is that these items are then placed on facebook market or craiglist in order to profit. All i know is i have seen them take entire bags of items from the drop boxes without even checking to see if anything in the bag fits them. That tells me they arent doing it because they need clothing. How do i know all of this? Because i live one mile from cracker barrel and i have been watching this same group of people move from spot to spot since last December. I see them stealing from the donation drop boxes at hyvee at least twice a week. I see them standing in between the lanes near Hyvee and Walmart pandering for money, and i see them pedaling around in the middle of the night with their wagon full of belongings. Whos belongings i have no idea. Why are you playing host to this Cracker Barrel? Do you have a State Permit to be running an RV park? How much is lot rent? I cant help notice that you do not have electrical hookups or sewage drains. Where are these "full time" residents disposing of their sewage and waste? In the storm drains perhaps? Thanks Cracker Barrel. P.S.... Clean it up NOW, or im taking it to the City Council. You have created a public safety hazard!! None of these vehicles is roadworthy or safe to be on a roadway or in a parking lot for that matter. None of them have license plates on them which means they are not registered and most likely uninsured which makes them illegal to be on any public roadway, it will also make you liable if and when someone gets hurt. read more

My son and I visited Cracker Barrel before the Husker game. We let the server know we needed to eat quickly to go to the game. She took our order right away. Unfortunately we didn't see our waitress again until or food arrived. The restaurant must have been short staffed. I figured I would try a sit down old country type setting and have breakfast on travels and I was disappointed. I ordered two homemade pancakes and two soft scrambled eggs. The eggs were not soft at all, more like rubber & cold. If you ask to make soft scrambled eggs they usually come up out normal and not over cooked. There are cooks who know the correct definition of (soft).The two pancakes were big, had a good taste but they were served cold, and only had one tiny scoop of butter, so if you order those make sure you ask for extra because they definitely need it. The maple syrup was their signature brand that came in a tiny bottle so you can take with you when you leave if there is any left. I used the whole thing on both pancakes because I do not like dry pancakes lol. The complete presentation I received cold is the responsibly of the waiter/ waitress so it was a complete disappointment. I just wanted to eat what I could, pay and leave. I ordered a chicken pot pie pretty excited to eat, and they brought me out a pot pie, but in a to-go container and acted like I was getting special treatment getting the frozen, reheated pot pie. not to mention it was cold. so I had to send it back. Really good food for what they are. Cheap chain rear that specializes in comfort southern food. Being from the south I learned to cook at an early age so most of their dishes I can make but when I'm not in the mood to get my hands dirty this is my first stop. We went with the catfish, Mac and cheese, collard greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, and chicken fried steak with gravy. The catfish was cooked perfectly. Cornmeal breading (any southerner knows if it ain't corn meal it ain't right!) on the fish was excellent. The greens had good flavor and not over cooked. Mac and cheese was very creamy and tasty. The mashed potatoes and gravy could use some more seasoning. Tasted very bland to me. Idk if it was just the gravy because the steak was cooked good but with the addition of gravy on top it takes away from the flavoring. Definitely will be back every once and awhile. Pulled off of I80W today heading to Colorado. Found this Cracker Barrel's. Was pretty busy at lunchtime and took quite a while to be seated. So maybe your wondering why the five stars. Place had many signs saying they were understaffed and there might be a long wait. I had time to sit and observe and all I saw were hard working Americans just working there tails off. Most of the patrons seemed to understand but there also were a mix of the grumpy entitled. Food was excellent as was our waitress. Her name was Jenna. Don't know why nobody wants to work anymore but we could use more Jenna's. read more

We stopped here again this summer 2022. Service was REALLY slow. We ordered and and waited a really LONG time with no food. Then the manager came by and asked if we wanted to pay our bill! To which I replied no we never got any food! He went and checked into it and our waitress went home. MEANWHILE our food in the kitchen sat on the side getting cold! We were ready to walk out! I told them I did not want to pay for a meal that I did not get. The manager apologized, gave us our meal and paid for it. That was nice, we appreciated it, but I was as on a long drive to see my daughter out of state. This was a two hour delay waiting for food and then finally eating. Also their menu has changed big time! The catfish I love they don't serve it anymore! Also the cold cider served in the mugs is a thing of the past too! That was so refreshing in the summer! I hope that the next time I come they will be better organized. I have been a long time customer for years, but really am disappointed in some of the changes! Haven't been to many places on north side of town but I can see why this is a good spot for a hearty meal. The inside looks like an antique store with an old country vibe. The food was decent, some items that stood out to me were the cheesy hash brown casserole , the biscuits , good coffee and having the gravy come with the bread was a nice touch. , I did ask for apple butter and I'm glad I did because it was delicious. My scrambled eggs were more of a dry plain omelette, but everything else was nice. They have really excellent customer service and the wait staff was all very polite and getting things in a timely manner even while serving a large party. I would say this is probably the most attentive waitstaff in any restaurant I've been in lately! They really took great care of us. read more

The Cracker Barrel is not my first choice of restaurant - that being said, it's pretty reliable and predictable and this location is no different. Very friendly staff was a huge plus. We stopped at 7:30 on a Thursday night and the place was busy but we didn't have to wait for a seat. The food is fine. The menu features very hearty and "home cooked" dishes. You get a lot of food for the price. We tend to find it overcooked and on the bland side. We've stopped here below on our cross-country travel and it's been fine each time. We did look pretty hard for an alternative restaurant just off the interstate in Lincoln and this was the best option. read more
