Applebee's is amazing no matter what is ordered or the staffs feelings it's the best place

Just had the sizzling chicken with queso blanco, minus the queso. The chicken was really good. I did ask for veggies instead of e fried potatoes, and had to re-ask when I got my meal. Service was good a d friendly as usual. read more

Good food but workers taking up a booth hanging around, cooks yelling in the kitchen etc.... Think again before stopping

Went to the Applebee's on 27th in Lincoln Nebraska. Worst experience ever in my years of going to Applebee's. Waitress has the personality of a piece of wood. No personality at all. Brought all the food out and said oh I just dropped your plate so they are making it again. By the time she came out with my plate everyone else was done eating. I paid the ticket on the table top machine only to get to the car and some guy come out and say we paid the wrong ticket. Go back inside to talk to them and get stared at the whole time like we did something wrong. For starters it wasn't me who messed up the ticket on the machine. So don't treat me like I am thief. The manager was RUDE about it and more less acted and treated us like we did it on purpose. The food was horrible. Managers on duty to busy hanging out in the back to deal with customers. It took over 30 minutes for them to fix the whole payment shit, no apology for their mess up no instead acted like we did it on purpose. This is the worst APPLEBEE's and I do not recommend it to anyone. read more

Our service this evening was very poor. We ordered two PBR beers and did not get them until after our food had arrived. Not only did it take them 25 minutes to get us our drinks, when we got them they were warm and we still ended up having to pay for them. Our food order was not accurate and they did nothing to compensate for their poor service. I go to Applebee's regularly but I will never be going to this location again. read more

Horrible experience yet again. I don't know why I keep expecting good service/food from this place. I guess because it used to be my favorite place to go. Now it's just terrible. My sister and I went in on a Wednesday night it was fairly busy but that wasn't a big deal. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer platter. Our drinks got to us about 7 min after we ordered them. We started sipping on them and realized that they were mostly mixer/flavoring and not even a hint of alcohol. We called the waiter over and he switched them.... same exact thing. We just dealt with it because they were the $2 happy hour drinks anyways. Then our food got there and I ate two mozzarella sticks and two bbq wings then got to chatting with my sister. About 5 minutes later and a few sips of my drink later I started feeling really sick. We got the check and left. I got home in about 5-6min and had to run straight to the bathroom. I threw up everything I just had at Applebee's. It was horrible. My stomach twisted and turned the rest of the night. read more

Longtime customer tired of excessive waits, sloppy prepared, inconsistent, often cold food, dirty dishes piled on and around the bar, impersonal service, and unfriendly staff. I'm not difficult and I'm a good tipper. Management seldom appears and never interact with customers when they do. Sliding done hill fast. Too many much better options. read more

Holy Crapablees!!! As someone who has worked in the service industry I can say beyond a doubt this is one of the worst places to go. Host saw us 4 times before realizing he was working and walking up to seat us. As we walked with him to one of the 20 open tables he stops because the one he wanted to seat us at was dirty (note still 19 other open clean tables to choose from) he asked us to wait while he cleans the table. Instead of waiting an additional 20 minutes for that to happen we just told him we would sit at the bar. He abruptly walked away with menus and silverware and didn't bother to clean the table. As we sat at the bar with 4 employees behind it we waited a good 5 minutes for one of them to stop their gossip long enough to take our drink order and hand us menus. Since we realized this may be the only time we would be getting service we placed our order as well. Should have gotten it to go as we were then forced to listen to the local drunks proceed to sing loudly and obnoxiously what ever random song they had punched into the touchtunes. With no one working there, not even the manager, to ask them to politely shut up as they were annoying everyone in the restaurant we were forced to endure this for the remainder of the meal. Never again when stopping in Lincoln will we go here. Just should have ran to Popeye's and gotten togo. read more

This applebees is very disappointing..... I'm from the omaha area and am used to having a very welcoming and enojoyable experience, but this one is another story.... no silverware or straws handed to us.... watered down lemonade..... no queso? thats just rude. read more

The food is consistently good and the prices are fair. Sometimes service is slower and the atmosphere is average.

The worst costumer service of all time.... waited 10 min for host ended up walking to set at the bar 30 min to take drink orders... and hour and a half later still waiting on food... read more

My fiancé and I visited this location and this location was beyond the worst we have ever been to. The host was extremely nice but the waitress was beyond rude. She acted like we were more of a burden than a guest. She visited our table TWICE in the whole hour we were there; once to get our order and once to bring us our food. She also set our food down on a different customer's table before picking it up and setting it down on our table. Which is NOT okay. Can I get health and safety standards for 500? I asked for lemon for my water multiple times with no avail. I ended up asking the bartender (who was SUPER awesome) if I could have some. Besides the host and the bartender being nice, I would have probably walked out of the restaurant. Will never be returning to the North 27th Street Applebees again. read more

Buys beware!!!! I used to love this place...until I turned 21! I come here once a month and this time wanted to order an alcoholic beverage since I am of age. My ID is from the state of Illinois(where I live) because I attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as an out of state student. My ID doesn't expire until next month, so is still the vertical license. It still clearly displayed my age and was valid, yet my waitress denied me a drink. So I requested the manager, who was my worst nightmare. She didn't even say anything coming up to the table so I started with, "what's the problem with my Id" she immediately began to attack me as if I were presenting a fake. A restaurant that contains a bar, one would assume would have a scanner but apparently this one did not. The manager gave me complete attitude to the point I was shaking. She stood in front of my booth side while saying she could deny my service I told her to go ahead because I didn't want it anymore from how poorly I was being treated. When my boyfriend pointed out the law to her she demanded my ID back and asked I repeat my address. I was embarrassed and forced to still purchase my drink. Never will I go here again, horrible customer service! I wanted to relax and enjoy dinner, but ended up with one drink horrible service. as much as i love apple bees, and have been going here for years i always have something wrong with mine or a friends order. whether it's the meat was undercooked(way too rare) or something i did not want on my meal. yet i still continues to go because of their great environment and friendly faces that greet me in. always still a great place to go with friends and family, just might expect something to go wrong. read more

Love Applebees....hate this location. First time ever going to this location and it will be the last. It took 10-15 minutes to even be greeted by our server. We then asked about the specials, because we saw online the unlimited crosscut ribs, and our server told us there were no specials. She said they had unlimited riblets. To clarify we asked "So do you not do the unlimited ribs on the weekend then?" and she said No. We proceeded to look over the menu. I decided on getting a order of the crosscut ribs anyway, because that was my original intent. As I was ordering them, the server asked..."Did you want just one order or the unlimited?" WTH. She said she forgot what they were called and wasn't thinking...even though that's their MAIN promotion. So I was happy they had them. It took about 25-30 minutes to get our first order out. And another 30 minutes for our second order of ribs. The server acted like she did not know what was going on. We couldn't even order and enjoy the endless ribs. I had to go to work and we did not foresee spending over 1 1/2 struggling to get our food when the restaurant was practically empty. It was interesting to watch the servers stand around by the bar, eat food, and ignore us. Never again. read more

Terrible service, 1/2 happy hour prices were not correctly applied the first time our bill was presented, and no apology when we brought it to their attention. My daughter asked for her steak well done, and it was pink. She also ordered a "loaded" baked potato..it came out with butter & sour cream only. My side of broccoli was forgotten. all the staff seemed indifferent, or lost, or confused. It wasn't even terribly busy. I won't be going back. Very expensive meal for what we got. read more

Applebee's is a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere. The service is usually decent and the quality of food is seemingly good. However, I have one problem with Applebee's. Applebee's is significantly lacking in vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Seeing as there are so many Applebee's, I would think that they would have more options to cater so a broader audience, but they do not. It would be nice if they could add more items to their menu that could be made vegetarian or vegan without taking away all of the substance and flavor of the dish. read more

Pretty standard Applebee's seemed short staffed as far as servers. Best part of my experience tonight was the greeter at the door. He was possibly the most happy person I saw in the establishment tonight he greeted us with a warm welcome and smile and invited us back on the way out shook my hand and wished me a good night. He is what all employees should strive to be, happy, not rushed, and just a great welcome. The greeters name wasn't kyle it was the other male greeter I did not catch his name. read more
