Terrible service. Walked in at 10:45 at night since it was the only thing open in the area besides Wendy's. We were the only ones in there. We were seated and waited and waited and waited and waited for someone to come by to take our order or even acknowledge we were there. After 10 minutes of watching the two servers talk at the register we asked the host to get our server and he did but they still did come over right away. Stopped in today for a late lunch and it was such a disappointment. The restaurant was about 25% full however we sat about 10 minutes before we got service. Then we ordered 2 salads and it took over 30 minutes to get the order. We got a fork only for silverware and no refills on drinks. Visited Plymouth Applebees after a Saturday baseball practice. Got in and seated quickly. Ordered the kids corn dog and applesauce, clubhouse sandwich with salad and mozzarella sticks with marina sauce for an appetizer. The appetizer never arrived. The corn dog and my sandwich were ok. We had a new server who was learning his way. Was nice and polite. He also had to deal a few other customer issues, so he really couldn't check on us. I had to wave him down to get our check. Ok. Hygienically, this place is pure nasty gross. First the table was sticky. Like pore maple syrup on the table and smear it around sticky. And all the waitress would do about it was apologize. We'll you don't have to be all CSI to deduce that urine crystals on the inside and on the outside of the urinal says it hasn't been disinfected or deodorized in freaking forever. But then after doing so, they get to grab the gunky bio hazard door handle, contaminated with unwashed nasty nether region tainted hand DNA. But surely it's the gesture that counts, before they make your burger or salad....right? Now to address the service. Lacking is an understatement. It took forever to take our order. She never refilled our drinks. Never stopped by to check if we needed them refilled. Didn't even glance to figure it out herself. In fact the least amount of effort the better from her point of view. Lastly, the food was greasy, gooey and gastronomically a no no. Seriously. Puddles of cold grease pooled up on the plate. Our tardy and neglected dinners didn't even get the curtesy of a warm radiation lamp. They were just left to shiver while the waitress wasn't refilling drinks. We learned a lesson the hard way. In a drive through town like this, drive through. Don't stop. Nothing good can come from stopping to eat. Nothing fresh. Nothing done with any standards, especially at an Applebees. P.s. when we were about to leave and get back on the road, the wife asks if we can stop at a gas station. She needed to use the bathroom again. We haven't been to Applebee's in years. We're from Illinois. We went to the one in Plymouth, Indiana. Our server was the lovely Delanie. She was friendly, courteous, quick and polite. My husband had an Oriental Chicken Wrap and I had the Strawberry Vinaigrette Chicken Salad. I had put all my strawberries together and it didn't even make 1 strawberry. I showed Delanie. She apologized and said she'd bring some more. She brought a little cup with strawberry slices. That was very kind of her. I appreciated her service. This Applebee's is very clean. Everything was sticky and unclean. So sticky the kids menus would tear trying to get off the table. I walked to the bathroom and my shoes were almost coming off. Asked staff why and was told new manager would not provide any cleaning supplies. What a shame this place has declined this far. Used to visit frequently and will never go again. I feel sorry for the staff that have to work in those conditions with a manager that thinks it's ok to treat employees and customers so poorly. read more

Applebee's is pretty expensive but it's definitely worth it, food is always fresh and well cooked and the employees make sure your satisfied they definitely deserve a tip every time, never had no complaints and it's really not busy during the week, The parking is nice and never difficult at all. read more

on Thursday 8/20/2020 went to Plymouth, In. Applebee's for dinner. Party of six. Ordered sirloin med rare. when steak came out was well done, so I sent it back. 20 minutes later my steak returned med. rare. I asked if meal would be comped and had to wait for manager. In the mean time the rest of our party had finished their meals. Manager said best he could do was give me 20% off. I asked why my remake took so long? Was told my order was put at end of list. Manager insisted 20% was all he would do. I told him to keep his steak and I was not paying. He said "fine" and picked up my plate and returned to kitchen. This place deserves negative stars if possible. Went there last night and it started with our drink order. After 3 attempts to receive 2 iced teas ( the waitress repeatedly brought lemonades. We ordered a steak and the bourbon chicken and shrimp. Our appetizer was seriously 4 small nugget pieces as the barbeque boneless chicken, plus we had ordered 2 types of dipping sauce to only get one of the wrong kind. Had to ask ( practically beg ) for silver ware only to be handed a fork. When our entrees finally came after a 45 minutes wait they were wrong but we could not get anyone to come to the table. I had to ask the woman cleaning the tables if she could locate a knife for each of us to use. She was the only person actually working last evening. Our waitress seem to focus on only 2 tables , 1 being a family who left a huge mess and no tip and another closer to the bar area. Having started out our married life working for tips we have never not tipped in our lives. Until last night. Even when visiting family in the area again we will not return to this Applebee's. Was extremely disappointed tonight in the customer service at this Plymouth Applebee's. We went at 4:15pm, well before it was busy. There were PLENTY of booths and tables available. I requested a booth, to which the answer was basically "no." I told her we'd wait (there was no one else waiting because it wasn't busy). She hesitated and told me it would be at least 25-30 minutes before a server would be available. What?!?! I proceeded to tell her that we'd just go somewhere else to which she said something in a most unprofessional tone. We left. I have noticed this Applebee's parking lot is empty a lot. If this is how customers are treated, I can understand why. I plan to contact corporate about this visit. read more
