This particular location is the worst restaurant I've ever been to, hands down. Waitress took our order and that was the last time we saw her until we got our check. She never checked on us after getting our food, which was brought out by two different staff members who we also had to ask other wait staff for refills. Drinks were left at the bar, not once, but twice (nonalcoholic), I personally had to walk up and get them. They didn't bring all of the food for our 7 year old, he ordered the children's tacos, they left off all the toppings, I asked 3 separate staff members, including the bar staff and hostess, to get the rest of his food, before a fourth person finally brings a large leaf of lettuce and whole slices of tomato (for a sandwich not tacos) which apparently we were supposed to cut up to put on his tacos. Got the check (this was the first time seeing our waitress since taking our order btw), paid with my card, she brings back my card and receipt, I still tipped $5 for literally writing our order down then never coming back at all. Picks up the signed copy before we left, walks away, then brings it back and sits the receipt right in front of me like she was offended. I mean, I got our drinks and I got up several times to get our own food that was left off of the order and still brought to us wrong. I was attempting to write this review on their little handheld device on the table, and right at the end of finishing, the hand held device defaults back to the main screen. Even hearing the frustration in my tone and seeing it on my face I still did not make one open complaint, other than stating that we've asked several times for the full order of our 7yr old's food, I still stayed polite to the staff including our waitress, and trust me I wanted to make a my point known vocally. However, I do know that our frustration did not go unnoticed, but was still ignored. We absolutely will not be back, and most definitely will not recommend this restaurant to anyone we know. I might add that I'm not opposed to Applebees as a whole, this is literally about this location. I still list other Applebees as some of my favorite restaurants, because of the staff and quality of service. This particular location is severely lacking leadership and quality of service. read more

This is my first ever review I have posted but after this event I need to. Brought silverware to table and had food present on fork. Brought another set and had food on knife. Manager came out and apologized. Clearly poor attention by help and management. French onion soup was luke warm and cheese not melted. My wife got potato soup and had 7 spoon fulls of luke warm potato soup.Waiter had Applebee shirt on with top 3 buttons unbuttoned with white tshirt. I asked for some ketchup and got an empty bottle. Table kiosk not working battery need replaced. Very bad experience. Beware. read more

I also don't normally review restaurants, but when I am seated at the bar with only two other patrons and am not even acknowledged by the bartender, I feel a negative review is warranted. Even the manager didn't seem overly upset that I walked out. read more

Service was extremely slow. Watched the waiter place drink order late from bar. Then he brings us chips and salsa along time after we should have had our food which it looks like us going to be longer wait than our drink. Had to ask for a second drink when he brings us " the I am sorry you gave had to wait chips and salsa". Needless to say the service is beyond poor. This Applebee's is HORRIBLE. I've been to many other Applebee's locations and never had an experience like this. We have been timing the service . We were seated for 10 mins before anyone even took our order. We waited another 15 mins after our drink order to receive our drinks . We visited around 12:30 on a Monday and the place was not busy at all. We ordered appetizers 40 mins ago and they still have not arrived. Stay away! read more

Service was normal for a restaurant, but what I didn't like the most was I was going to order there "Unlimited ribs" and my mom had surgery along time ago so she can't eat a lot but she was going to steal a few bites off my plate. But the waitress said they don't allow that!? It's just a few bites I understand that people can rig the thing but it's just a few bites!. Wow, this location has really gone downhill. We were looking for dinner, and I suggested Applebee's because we hadn't been here in awhile. Waited at the door for a bit before we were seated, and waited a bit for a server. Server brought my husband the wrong beer. Appetizer came out 30 seconds before food. Husband upcharged for a Caesar Salad, and it was literally a few slivers of lettuce with a drizzle of dressing. My meal was gross, I wasn't offered a refill on drink until it was time to leave. Very basic food. Could be alot better but what do you expect from a corporate chain. Steak in a bag not so good.

Stay home and microwave your own food. Save your money, save yourself from disappointment. Every bad review I've read on here nailed it. Bad service by the staff and even worse food by the cooks. Went here a few times, always waited a at podium for someone to come seat us. The reason for a podium is to be greeted and seated. If not put a sign and tell us to seat our self. Food at other Applebee's is always good and full of flavor. This Applebee's food and prep is very very very poor! Our food always comes looking bland and very small in portions size. I'm not a fan of more is better #1 is taste #2 is presentation and #3 is portion size and this place fails at all 3..... come on Applebee's get it together we here in Seymour like to eat out and enjoy our local service and want to patronize our neighborhood read more

We had lunch today, Friday the 13th at Applebee's. I hesitate to say anything negative but my lips are still kind of burning from lunch. I had the lunch menu of tomato basil soup and the strawberry avocado salad. The soup was salty, didn't finish it. I expected fresh strawberries but they were soggy and not fresh, and very few. I don't know what the salad dressing was but it was awful. I think it was the salad dressing that set my mouth on fire, didn't finish that either. The salty soup didn't help. Good thing I didn't have to be back to work because I would have been late. There was hardly a soul in the place but it took forever for our food to come. Very disappointed. I almost forgot. While was sat waiting we watched the bartender cut up pineapple. No gloves, not sure if that is required. The greeter came over, leaned over to talk to the bartender and picked up a piece of pineapple and said something. Conversation over, she walks away and the greeter tossed the pineapple piece over on the bar side and went to greet a customer. We both went ewwww. read more

The food came slowly. We liked that because we were having good conversation. The waitress was one of the best I have had from this type of restaurant (Applebees, Chili's, etc). She gave us to go drinks without being asked, always seemed to be in the area when we needed something, and was pleasant and positive. If you go to this Applebees ask for Ashley. read more

Service is poor at best. Half of the items listed on the menu are not even available when you order and cleanliness is obviously not a priority in this restaurant. Portions are small and over priced. I would recommend Chili's or even White Castle before visiting Applebee's. read more

Best applebees I have been to in a long time. All three of our meals came out hot and delicious. Very nice staff who made sure you had everything you needed or could possibly need. If you want a delicious, hot meal this is the place! Plus now that the season is changing new items were added to the menu. Next time we head that way we will stop at this applebees for a meal. read more

I must say this place is over the top accommodating. They will play the music you want- claim to be an O'Charleys if you think it is one, make any drink, Bring you as many glasses as you like- Its not a bar - you know what an applebees is but this place really strives to be more and I applause them for that. read more

This place is horrible, place was empty when we got there and it took an hour to get our food, my burger was barely warm and the she charged the wrong bill to my credit card. 2 hours of my life wasted. read more
