We had a weekend out of town and chose 33 Brick Street to eat. Before the issue on waiting almost two hours for a table, I will preface our group had 9 people and no one myself included called ahead to reserve a table. We did learn they do not do same day reservations so keep that in mind if you'd like to try and do so. I think the wait was more an issue of our group not being prepared as opposed to the restaurant not being accommodating. Once seated we were able to eat on the patio. We started with three separate appetizers for the table. We got fried pickles, pretzel bites and breaded mushrooms. The pickles and pretzels were tasty. My girlfriend loved the mushrooms, I did not eat any since I don't like mushrooms. For our mains we got The Bird with cottage cheese and brick chips as well as the Pork Chops with a baked potato and green beans. Both meals were tasty. The sides were all great. The chips were a great vessel to dip in the cottage cheese, if you don't do such a thing regularly you're missing out! The only complaint is The Bird is listed as "smothered" in cheese and bacon. I wouldn't describe it as smothered in any way. It is on it but smothered isn't the word I would use. Overall we would come back with a smaller group and hopefully the wait is less. We enjoyed our food. I would maybe like to try another dish to see if it is better than what I got. I did however, absolutely love the decor. As a huge basketball fan this is my type of place. We went here as a group of nine people, with kids included and we had a great experience! The servers were so kind and courteous. Tylan was so sweet to us! I had the chicken ranch wrap & it was pretty good. My kids loved the macaroni of course. Not pictured but my husband got the buffalo ranch wrap & loved it. We were passing by the area and stop there for quick lunch. It's a simple small place (5 booths and about 10 tables I guess + bar area) We happen to visit during the holidays, so I'm not sure if te place is always that full , but I suggest to make a reservation , as the wait list is quite long. The servise is quite slow ( as we got silverware 10 min later than our food arrived ) We had ribeye steaks ( you have a choice of 2 sides) our daughter had chicken tenders &fries and the Fred had a sandwich with home made chips. I enjoyed the tasty Bloody Mary and friend had a beer. Steaks were flavorful, cooked correctly, what I can't say about the sides , unfortunately. The asparagus had a weird taste: seemed as it was marinated ? because of the bitter-sour taste and then a bit burned taste from the grill, I guess. My family and I came here on a recommendation from our hotel and this place did not disappoint!! The place is cute with all the sports memorabilia and had a nice bar area. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. We arrived and were told it would be about an hour wait but only waited 30 minutes. We got waited on right away and our waitress was fantastic!! So curious and nice. We ordered the pretzel bites and cheese which were very good. My husband got the ribeye, loaded baked potato and coleslaw. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection! I ordered the beef manhattan with green beans but I also ordered the asparagus. Man oh man was it good. I couldn't stop eating it and the asparagus was cooked perfectly!! My kids got the mushroom and Swiss burger which he inhaled and my other son got the Cajun pasta with chicken and it did not last long either!! Great place in a cute downtown. We were visiting French Lick on our way to Wisconsin and had a great dining experience at this Larry Bird/Sports themed restaurant. Both were very good and offered a generous portion. Neither was over seasoned which was appreciated... nothing worse than over salted restaurant food! I got the chips with my sandwich which were okay, but didn't matter because the sandwich was big and delicious, so don't bother upgrading to the fries unless you are sharing or very hungry. The waitress we had was fantastic and a naturally talented communicator. It was also great to see how the staff worked as a team. From the hostess, to the waitress, to the young man serving the food, to a different waitress that took our payment. We had just come off the Polar Express Train ride and my family of 9 were spending the night in French Lick and no where else to be. To the credit of the establishment they shut the kitchen down from taking more orders for 30 minutes. This is not popular for some, but they can only go so fast with cooking food fresh to order. It prevents the wait staff from having to answer the awkward "where's my food?" questions. Our family's orders were of pretty wide variety as you can see in the pictures below. Unfortunately I didn't get the pics of the 3 appetizers we devoured, one... because we were starving, two...they were so good!! Philly Chips - heaping housemade chips with Philly cheesesteak, peppers, onions and queso. Fried pickles Onion rings - not hand-dipped but very good anyway!! I walked in with a sealed bottle of water and was told I could not eat there due to the fact that I brought in an outside bottle of water. Unacceptable experience at 33 Brick Street in French Lick, Indiana. My wife went to this restaurant with a group that included two 10-year-old children and a senior, and they were treated with shocking rudeness. After waiting far too long to be served, the waitress claimed she couldn't hear my wife, who was seated at the far end of the table. When a friend politely asked if she could come closer to take the order, the waitress snapped, "You're not going to talk to me like that." Then she went even further and told the group they could just go somewhere else if they had a problem. The tone and behavior felt racially motivated and completely unprofessional. The whole group, including the kids and elderly guest, were left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. No one--especially families with children and seniors--should be treated this way. We will never return, and we hope the owners take this behavior seriously and make necessary changes. read more

There's a big push to be a sports bar, but then there's also random posters and memorabilia, so it doesn't always come across. That's my own bugaboo, though. Service? Solid. Our server was attentive for most of the meal but trailed off a bit near the end and we waited a bit for our lunch check. Our food came out swiftly and the drinks didn't run dry. The food was good for pub grub. I recommend the fries over the chips. Seasoned, crispy, crinkle fries were a step above! I have been a resident of this community for 44 years and have recommended this place to many people. I will no longer be recommending or eating in this establishment. My husband and I came in and ordered two steaks medium rare. After returning his steak twice they still did not get it right. First time it was medium well the second time it was medium. The waitress was sweet as can be and we were not charged for the meal. I just feel like there should have been some kind of compensation for him sitting there watching me eat and leaving hungry.
