Stopped by and set at the bar, ordered a beer and some boneless hot wings. Celery came with the meal (got two tiny pieces of Celery that were gone in two or three bites). That was ok, but the wings???? 10 boneless wings, cut the 1st one and it literally squashed out of the breading. It was like the chicken had been put in a blinder. I did try a bite; THIS DID NOT TASTE LIKE CHICKEN! I did cut into the rest of the wings and all of them were the same way. I have ate wings at many places and even other Applebee's but have never seen this. What in the world are you using for your boneless wings??? Was this plant based chicken and if it was you should be advertising this! As far as the waitress, she did do well and I did leave her a good tip as she did not cook the food. I am also not trying to get a free meal and wouldn't take it if offered. I would like to see the place do better and not end up like the 46 stores that were closed last year due to underperforming according to a Google search. read more

I used Applebee's app to order a Thai salad to go. I had no trouble using the app and everything from that point went as planned. I drove up to the front of the place and there is parking designated right at the front door for to-go orders. I had described what I would be driving within the app. The waiter that brought me my food was prompt it was ready when they said it was going to be ready. I got the Thai Shrimp Salad. I have had this salad many times it is one of my favorites. It only has 390 calories so if you are watching your weight this is a really tasty option. The shrimp are a little bit spicy and then it has a Thai peanut sauce with a chili lime vinaigrette over everything. There are some almonds and wonton strips also in the salad giving it a little bit of crunch. I will use Applebee's Carside To Go app again. If you are in a hurry this is the way to go. read more

Found a screw in my daughter's yogurt at dinner. Server wasn't very attentive. They took the kids meal off but I doubt we'll be back.

I had the "four cheese Mac and cheese with chicken strips. Too much breading and not enough chicken. The chicken strips had a sauce which mixed with the pasta and cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was also skimpy. I won't order it again if I return. I wonder what kind of quality control Applebees uses. read more

On our way home stopped here for dinner which was conveniently right off the interstate. The place was decorated as your typical Applebees. Clean. The prices are affordable. The service was excellent. The food was fresh and delicious. A nice end to our trip on the road before the last few hours before home. Tummies are filled. read more

Every time we have been inside Applebee's we have gotten great service but now we call for takeout and this is what we get Cold food and no cheese on my cheeseburger and one sliver of onion we called the manager and they said they'll give us another meal but Need to do a little better in your take out service. The food was okay, but I have ordered the french onion soup from other Applebee's and this was the least volume that I've ever received out of all of them. It was hot and tasted okay, at least. I guess it's in Applebee's mission statement to provide terrible service no matter which restaurant you go to. The server was adequate and friendly, it's the kitchen that seems to be the problem. Ordered the Choose 3 Appetizer selection prior to ordering my meal. Several minutes later I ordered my entree which included a salad. The salad came out before only 2of the 3 appetizers did. It was an add on salad which cost $3.59. There wasn't $.50 worth of ingredients in it. My entree came out shortly thereafter. The 3rd appetizer, spinach and artichoke dip, was still not present. It was canceled entirely. The food was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection. Oh well, a typical visit to Applebee's. read more

Half price appetizers after 9pm every night, sweet! We had the boneless hot wings with extra hot sauce, which to me tasted mild, lol, its very hard for me to find a true hot sauce. And had the chicken quesadilla, and the fried wanton tacos, along with a mushroom cheeseburger. All the food was good, hot, and delivered as expected. Service was fast and she kept my drinks filled. Their lunch combos are small. Waitresses keep bothering you if you choose to stay for a while and chat...you know at "Your neighborhood GATHERING place!!!!!!" Also just because you get water doesn't mean that they can't refill it. GROSS..GROSS..GROSS!! Well...where do I even start!?!? Went back to Indiana a few days ago....and stopping here may have been one of the worst dining experiences ever. Wait..it was..oh yeah..mos' def. The staff is rude and not very professional..including management. No..that was being WAAAY too nice...management would be better if high school kids were running this joke of a restaurant. Our server had dirty fingernails..delish!! Several drunks at the bar..loud and rude as well...and swearing way entirely too much for a FAMILY restaurant. **PLEASE NOTE!!**..there were 4 Shelbyville police officers getting tanked at the bar..and when they went to their cars..they were flipping there lights and sirens on and off as if it was some king of cool..mature game they were playing in the parking lot. Great presentation of the local law enforcement in this little city. The management found this humorous. Most of the diners found this annoying. I found it absolutely ridiculous. There was NOTHING even remotely decent about their food quality either. My girlfriend ordered a nice brown salad that should have been green. We ordered boneless wings..and the two largest pieces..since they vary in size..were raw in the middle. Real nice. I asked my steak to be prepared medium rare..it was medium well..almost well done. When they told me they would remake it..it came out way too fast..and GREY. Only one set of grill marks. I have seen this trick..I was a cook for many years...thanks for microwaving my steak!! The potatoes were hard. Oh..and please note..you can smell the bathrooms...mmmm..urine..it goes real well with dinner. After all that crap..they asked if we wanted dessert. No thanks..I'll pass on whatever gross surprise was waiting there. Did they offer to do anything?! NO!! And when we asked..they took off the wings. Wow. Thank you so much. Not. Good. At. All. The waitress was friendly enough and competent I guess. But the hostesses was rarely present to seat guests as they came in. After they delivered food to the table we mentioned that we needed silverware & we were told they were out and it would be a few minutes. The 2/25 dinner menus portions were smaller than the kids meals and the steak was a cheap cut and poorly prepared. 2 of us went there on a Friday night. I completely understand that being a business in small town, you're bound to be busy. They said it would be a 15-20 minute wait. Okay, that's doable. They say "is everyone over 21?" Why yes we are! "Great, we can get you set up in the bar when a table opens. Are you okay with sitting at the rail instead of a booth or table?" Why yes we are! They seat a few people in front of us while we wait patiently for what we know will be mediocre food and service, at best. Another party of 2 walk in while we are next in line. They approach the stand. The same host who spoke with us, asked them the same questions RIGHT before offering them 2 seats at the bar rail that had just opened up. The host then said to another employee "oops I think I was saving that for someone else" while we were standing RIGHT THERE. He proceeded to shrug his shoulder and say "oh well". Admittedly, we were upset. We walked up to the stand and said "we were supposed to get the rail when it opened up" he wouldn't even look at us when he said "yeah, I don't know how that happened" no apology, no let me fix this. Nothing. Just "don't know how that happened" so we left. Their food is overpriced and barely a step up from your local McDonald's. My advice, find somewhere else to eat. Absolutely awful!! Been here 3 times this year and food just getting worse. I ordered a steak this time (medium) and it was well done on the sides and raw in the middle. Wasn't even asked if everything was ok. Same problem with a few police officers at the bar.......its 1pm in the afternoon and your getting hammered Really?? I am highly allergic to shellfish and the last 2 times I have been in there the Manager himself has cooked my food to be sure it does not come in to contact with any type of shellfish at all. Terrible service and cold food! Wrote to Applebee's and got a call from the manager at Shelbyville who was apologetic and promised a gift card to use on a return trip. Guess what!!!??? My experience here was a nice one! It was easy for my waitress to be nice however because there were only about six of us in the restaurant overall. My guess is because it was rainy out on a Monday. Besides that point, the food was amazing and came out super quick. The only flaw was they forgot a breadstick with my Alfredo pasta meal. Our waitress was one of the most nice waitresses I have ever come across. She made good conversation and made sure we were well taken care of. I would return here. read more

I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised with my recent visit to Applebees in Shelbyville, IN. The beer was the perfect temperature and they had Bell's Two Hearted on tap. I had the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. It was piping hot, juicy and flavorful. Also, we had barely finished ordering our food and it was at our table. Honestly I wouldn't even give this place a star if I didn't need to in order to post. This was without a doubt the worst place to eat with the worst service. It's not hard to be nice but we literally had a waitress laugh in our face because someone we were with said the name of a pasta dish incorrectly. The food was horrible and the service was even worse. We waited for almost an hour for chicken fingers, 1 plain burger (which wasn't supposed to be plain) and a pasta dish with 2 salads.
