While I am not an Applebee's regular customer, I do like this chain for consistently decent food (primarily salads and burgers), reasonably priced drinks and a well trained staff. This particular location on Street Road in Southampton, PA, does not deviate from the norm. It is a pleasant place to grab a beer and bite at the bar when traveling solo, or at a booth when with family. They don't take themselves too seriously. They recognize they are a roadhouse, provide sustenance without pretension and work to let customers have a good time, in a wholesome atmosphere. There was a wait for tables in the lobby when I arrived, but almost no one at the bar. I inquired of a passing server if I could belly up there immediately, and she said, "no problem." I was alone, and saw no point to occupying a table when a bar stool suited my needs. Bartender Kate approached quickly to take my drink order. I asked about pumpkins, and she told me that River Horse had just delivered their Hipp-O-Lantern pumpkin ale. Perfect! I was sipping from their signature hippo snifter a moment later. She also handed me a menu. I quickly decided on the whiskey bacon burger, pink. What I received was a half pounder with melted cheese, crisp bacon, lettuce, tomato and red onion. While beyond pink, it was still fresh and tasty with a sweetish bun. I needed knife and fork to disassemble the thick sandwich. The fries were nice and hot/crisp. At about $11, it was a value investment in a filling and enjoyable meal. We all have certainly paid more for much less in the current burger wars.

I have been going to this location for 15 years. Never had a problem with any employees or food. Today I met the most rude and aggressive manager (william booker). I came into the building to get a table, the hostess said it will be ready in 15 minutes and that we should wait outside. 30 minutes later the manager (william booker) came out very rude and aggressive said we either wait in the car or he will refuse us service. When I tried to ask him any questions he became more loud and more rude. He woke up my newborn, made my 2 year old cry, and refused us service. I won't be going to this location again.

I stopped here over the weekend after I was invited by a friend. If it were up to me I would have gone somewhere else but I didn't have any other plans so I figured "what the heck, why not?". I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Our party of six was seated within minutes even though it was a Saturday night. The waitress was friendly and attentive. She was on top of things and frequently checked to see if we needed refills or anything else. The food itself was good too. My friend and I split the 2 for $25. We were able to get full sized salads and entrees for on $25 which is a great deal. I ordered the Caesar and the bourbon chicken and shrimp which came out sizzling as shown in my video. To wash it done, most of the table enjoyed the $2 Blue Moons but I opted for the Apple Sangria. The Sangria wasn't anything to brag about. Lastly we shared a brownie sundae for dessert. This thing was huge and I'm glad we shared. Coming from someone who previously referred to this restaurant as "Crapplebees" I was very happy with my meal. I may visit again!

A sentimental favorite because the Mister used to come here with his daughter. Once a month, we return to honor her memory and toast her life. Is the food exquisite or even memorable? Not really, but we make do by using the following guidelines: Order the 2 for 20 deal (app plus 2 entrees). For the app, the Mister likes the spinach artichoke dip and chips. For entrees, we try to stick with the chicken dishes. Lately, I have ordered the tequila chicken, sans sauce, cheese, rice and chips. Applebee's has been very happy to substitute mixed veggies for the deletions, so I end up with a healthful dinner of a grilled chicken breast with (fat-free) pico de gallo and steamed veggies. Additionally, the Weight Watcher's selections tend to be among the better choices. Good, prompt service, too.

My go-to Applebees! I've never had a bad experience, and food is always good and consistent. Servers here are very professional and nice! The reason for the missing star, is because the manager seems unprofessional. I was accidentally charged twice for a burger, and the manager didn't change the tab and was useless in the situation. Avoid him at all costs

Quite empty on a Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. I assume they get a younger crowd that works and comes later (we are retired). The happy hour menu impressed us. Speciality cocktails normally $15-ish were only $9. That got our attention. Plus $5 appetizers. Never see lemon drop martini, manhattan and expresso martinis on happy hour afterall. And those were our picks (3 of us). We were celebrating Mom's 93 birthday. For the $5. appetizers we picked pork spring rolls, potato chip nachos, and mozzarella sticks. The chips were the winner. BUT "never" get the spring rolls. Two very disappointing , tiny spring rolls that had a microscopic amount of pork. It was pathetic. Not even worth it for $5. I would stay away from those. Silly only two on the plate and there were 3 of us. Too small to share. Our server was efficent and sweet. She added to a nice happy hour. We enjoyed playing a few rounds of table shuffle board. Nice addition. The best part of our happy hour was a friendly couple (we just met them) at the bar surprised us and paid for a round of drinks since they heard it was my Mom's 93 birthday!! That surely made her day extra special and memorable.

You will be asked if you want the seasoning and drawn better. If I could go back in time, I would probably not have got the seasoning that they throw in the bowl, as it is a salty concoction, and do you really need seasoning on crab legs? The vibe for a Phillies playoff game that was must win to stay alive in the playoffs was horrible. I picked up a twelve pack of beer at my local bar a few days prior and the vibe at my local bar was about a hundred times better during an earlier Phillies playoff game in the series. I would recommend Chickie's as a last resort or if you are jonesing for bar food. Just don't expect the moon and you should be okay. As always people SYOY!!!

We ordered a couple of types- Korean bbq and pickled something. The kids quickly noted that the pickled version wasn't saucy, tasted dry, and was flavorless compared to prior visits. They seemed to know their wings and the PJs standard to be aware something was off. I mentioned to the server and she indicated that corporate HQ changed the sauciness of the wings and they weren't that way anymore unless requested. The kids were taken back by this and noted it's the sauce that makes them good, and that these were dry and flavorless. I had to agree as a new customer to PJs that they were flavorless and comparable to a natural wing. We all thought the boneless Korean bbq wings were decent. The restaurant is nicely situated with a mix of tables and bar area with TVs scattered throughout showing sporting events. We visited on a Saturday so college football was displayed. We left confused and wondering if the change in wings was the new norm or a one-off. The server was nice and attentive to start but never came to ask us how the food was until we were nearly done and I volunteered concerns from the group. The kids agreed this wasn't typical service of PJs either.
