When I run out of choices of where to go to watch a game, I end up at Chickie's. This occasion was interesting in the sense I tried the B Dawkins Nachos- Charred lobster, shrimp, pineapple, spicy jalapenos. These were not bad and 20% of every order goes to charity. Buy one pound get one pound "free" of snow crab legs was advertised on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on the table marketing spinner. You will be asked if you want the seasoning and drawn better. If I could go back in time, I would probably not have got the seasoning that they throw in the bowl, as it is a salty concoction, and do you really need seasoning on crab legs? The vibe for a Phillies playoff game that was must win to stay alive in the playoffs was horrible. I picked up a twelve pack of beer at my local bar a few days prior and the vibe at my local bar was about a hundred times better during an earlier Phillies playoff game in the series. First, let me say the service was outstanding. My server went over to top to greet us and serve as well. Now the food I ordered a chicken Parm my chicken Parm came out half burnt and a little piece of chicken was split between the 2/2 of the roll. I had two bites on 1/2 of the roll and the chicken was gone. All the rest was roll. This sandwich was terrible. I was happy there was no wait for a table and shortly after sitting down, our waiter by the name of Dylan came to take our order. If this is what northern Philly has to offer then I feel for the people here. The fried chicken sandwich I ordered was microwaved and the reason I know that is that the first couple bites were hot and juicy but as I ate it, it became hard and dry. I ordered it with cheese and it just had 2 cold slices of white Kraft singles (or that's what it looked like). It also felt like we were bothering the waitress with our party of 8. Beer selection was great for me since they had Fiddlehead but not much after that. The other saving grace was the hostess who managed to get the O's game on a TV for me and she deserves 5 stars. I've been here a couple times over the years and my parents used to rave about how bomb their lobster roll is. We came here over Easter weekend and it was such a let down. The highlight: We got their cheesesteak nachos and for the first time in probably my life there were more toppings than chips. In the end I was actually scooping guac up with a fork. This was the mvp of the night. The rough stuff: Unfortunately we got off to a really rough start and our waitress just seemed to have zero interest in doing more than the bare minimum. She was not super helpful, but worst of all when someone at our table told her that silverware would have been nice to have for our now finished nachos - her response was "well you could have asked for them". Even though we hadn't seen her for the duration of the app. The food came out at all different times so we were almost done our meal before the final dishes came out. The pepperoni pizza was soaked in grease while the lobsters roll looks like it was 50% mayo which was extra annoying b/c it was $31.. that's right $31. I didn't order either and was very glad about it. So disappointed in their menu, service and execution. A family favorite. One of the best sports bars to hang at. Can't go wrong with a basket of crab fries! Walked in without a reservation around 7pm. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table. They asked for a mobile number to text us when the table was ready. I love modern technology. It was exactly 30 minutes when we got the text. It was PACKED inside. Yet, our waiter Alex was extremely efficient and working at lightning speeds. He came over, introduced himself, put our drink orders in and boom. He was back with the drinks before we knew it. We placed orders in for food and it came out quickly as well. I was really impressed with the service. My boyfriend got the lobster roll sandwich and I got the Mediterranean salad. Salad was huge. I couldn't finish it. Alex checked in on us throughout the night, making sure we were good on drinks and fries. $3.50 Blue Moon drafts on Saturdays!! I got a spiked Arnold Palmer which was pretty good. Do I love crab fries? Of course. Do I love the rest of the Chickie's and Pete's menu? No, not really. Granted, I am vegetarian so the menu is quite limited. I honestly only came here because my fiancé wanted to. I got mozerella sticks, a side salad and we split an order of the half regular half sweet potato crab fries, which were the highlight for me. The Philadelphia cheesesteak was the perfect balance of cheese and steak meat. The lobster tails were priced fairly and you can never go wrong with them! I don't understand any of the attraction to their food. When the chain itself opened years ago it was ok. The food has taken a dive along with the service especially in Warrington. Chickie's is a Philly institution. The great part is that no matter which one you go to, it's consistent. The other positive that I have experienced in many different locations is the bartenders are on their game....always. This is a huge plus (and honestly a requirement for a sports bar), especially considering that good service at a bar has become less and less common. The food is bar food, but better than most bar food. Of course there's the obligatory crab fries. What's not to like about fries, Old Bay and cheese. I also am a fan of all of their wings...they cook them very well which I appreciate. I was surprised by the pizza too, don't expect gourmet but it's a solid pizza that works wonders to soak up the alcohol. I never was a fan of any of the sandwiches...I've tried them and been underwhelmed every time. But I was pleasantly surprised by the hot shrimp, it's defiantly a riff on New Orleans BBQ shrimp. Not as good but still enjoyable nonetheless. If you get the shrimp ask for some bread you want to soak up that sauce! read more

So disappointed in our dinner. I came here on July 6th for dinner to celebrate my parents Anniversary. We can here for the $1 oysters and crabs. We ended up only ordering 12 oysters and 3 crabs. We wanted to order more oysters but they ran out. It was 6:15pm by the time they ran out and we arrived at 6pm. Also 2 out of the 3 crabs we ordered were good and the other one was mushy. IMO Thanks for the seafood saute or should I say the "Abundance of the cheapest shellfish (mussels) we can get so it yields the highest profit margin saute" i know probably too long a name and too honest.....just because you keep the seafood in the same freezer doesn't mean you get to call it "seafood" saute. 3 shrimp and a 3 oz (being generous) chicken lobster tail with 2 lbs of mussels and 6 small clams. Visited this place for the first time yesterday. We loved our server, she was very attentive; and our orders came out very quickly. However, the food was sub-par and way overpriced. The clam chowder lacked flavor; luckily there were salt and pepper shakers on the table. The crab mac & cheese was really just deep fried balls of batter with some crab and crushed pasta inside. The crab cake sandwich was awful. How can a restaurant, that specializes in crab entrees, serve such a mushy crab cake? It should be somewhat crispy. And for $17.00, you'd think it would come with fries or cole slaw or something! No, nothing. So for two appetizers, a plain sandwich and two sodas, our bill was around $45. Terrible.
