Pikes is great place to hang out and chill, after work. The Staff is very welcoming, and the regulars are fun.

Rolled up garage type external walls so totally open air when we went. Only tiny complaint was the sparkling wine used in the Aperol spritzes came from a tap and was a bit flat.

Quite empty on a Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. I assume they get a younger crowd that works and comes later (we are retired). The happy hour menu impressed us. Speciality cocktails normally $15-ish were only $9. That got our attention. Plus $5 appetizers. Never see lemon drop martini, manhattan and expresso martinis on happy hour afterall. And those were our picks (3 of us). We were celebrating Mom's 93 birthday. For the $5. appetizers we picked pork spring rolls, potato chip nachos, and mozzarella sticks. The chips were the winner. BUT "never" get the spring rolls. Two very disappointing , tiny spring rolls that had a microscopic amount of pork. It was pathetic. Not even worth it for $5. I would stay away from those. Silly only two on the plate and there were 3 of us. Too small to share. Our server was efficent and sweet. She added to a nice happy hour. We enjoyed playing a few rounds of table shuffle board. Nice addition. The best part of our happy hour was a friendly couple (we just met them) at the bar surprised us and paid for a round of drinks since they heard it was my Mom's 93 birthday!! That surely made her day extra special and memorable.

These were not bad and 20% of every order goes to charity. Buy one pound get one pound "free" of snow crab legs was advertised on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on the table marketing spinner. You will be asked if you want the seasoning and drawn better. If I could go back in time, I would probably not have got the seasoning that they throw in the bowl, as it is a salty concoction, and do you really need seasoning on crab legs? The vibe for a Phillies playoff game that was must win to stay alive in the playoffs was horrible. I picked up a twelve pack of beer at my local bar a few days prior and the vibe at my local bar was about a hundred times better during an earlier Phillies playoff game in the series. I would recommend Chickie's as a last resort or if you are jonesing for bar food. Just don't expect the moon and you should be okay. As always people SYOY!!!

The Mag has covered it all with dance parties to live DJ's, live acoustic music, karaoke night, live bands, NTN trivia and happy hour. It's a sports bar, a dance club and a great place to relax and unwind or wind up with 1/2 priced appetizer specials and low priced drinks. Every month they have something going on with drink specials, parties, a poker tournament, which includes a dinner buffet before hand and a chance to win a 50" big screen TV. The bar menu is nothing to take for granted, even though it has a lot of your favorite munchies, salads, great pizzas, ribs and sandwiches. This is an Italian family owned and run business, even though on Sundays, they turn Irish with Irish day. Their fresh mozzarella is hand breaded, they bake their own baguettes for sandwiches and they have won awards for their Philly Black Angus Steak sandwich. If you order a chicken parm sandwich or a veal parm or meatball sub, it was all made here, fresh and never frozen. They slow roast pork for 22 hours with dry rub and pull it apart for an outstanding pulled pork sandwich, I ask them for BBQ sauce for mine, even though they serve it the traditional New Orleans way. They have quesadillas galore and I am in love with the lump crab and shrimp one. The bang-Bang shrimp is a spicy New Orleans treat and they have home made potato skins. We ordered a couple of types- Korean bbq and pickled something. The kids quickly noted that the pickled version wasn't saucy, tasted dry, and was flavorless compared to prior visits. They seemed to know their wings and the PJs standard to be aware something was off. I mentioned to the server and she indicated that corporate HQ changed the sauciness of the wings and they weren't that way anymore unless requested. The kids were taken back by this and noted it's the sauce that makes them good, and that these were dry and flavorless. I had to agree as a new customer to PJs that they were flavorless and comparable to a natural wing. We all thought the boneless Korean bbq wings were decent. The restaurant is nicely situated with a mix of tables and bar area with TVs scattered throughout showing sporting events. We visited on a Saturday so college football was displayed. We left confused and wondering if the change in wings was the new norm or a one-off. The server was nice and attentive to start but never came to ask us how the food was until we were nearly done and I volunteered concerns from the group. The kids agreed this wasn't typical service of PJs either.

The food was as expected for a "sports bar". In comparison to some of the other reviews, I didn't have high expectations because I knew I was walking into a sports bar and not Ruth Chris. We had the started platter that had a little of everything for an appetizer, burgers and wings. The wings were really good and crispy with a lot of flavor. The mango habanero had pieces of mango which was a nice touch. Overall, I could see myself coming here again for happy hour with friends but not necessarily a go to spot for weekly dinners. It's more of just the norm for this environment, nothing special.
