i rate this applebees a 0. i'm normally very understanding when i order a take out from somewhere and they mess up my order however this isn't the first time. I ordered food for a pick up so i can take it home and eat it however i couldn't eat it. I asked for a chicken oriental salad with extra dressing, however they completely gave me the wrong salad, and also had honey mustard instead of the oriental dressing. I also got crispy chicken and it was rubbery, the wings were cooked poorly and the wonton tacos were not crispy at all. read more

The food was good. Not as good or as large of portions as I remember 10 to 20 years ago. I miss the blue ribbon brownie sundae. It's been gone a while now. I use to come just for that dessert. I used to walk out belly busted too.. Not anymore. It was tasty though. The waitress and staff were very friendly. I used to see better in dark environments, but older age has hit me now and I have to use my phones flash light to see the menu clearly with the dim lights. Be careful when using that table ordering tablet to order food or you could accidentally get charged $3 for games. It happened to me, but the charge was taken off. One thing that concerns me though was the lack of business for a Friday night. That' and Saturday if my memory serves me correctly was busy time and there used to be a line to wait for a table. Don't get me wrong. I don't like lines, but I feel economically we as Americans have a real problem, hence the changes I'm observing plus I keep reading stories of the chain restaurants closing up. If I could rename this location I would name it appleF's. The name is misleading not even a B rating for this place. First off I was so excited to have a take out cocktail after a hard days work. So we decided to do online ordering for pick up, my fiancé drives us there because of my long hard day at work (like I said). Well the high school educated 'waitress' (a robot could bring food out to a car) waits for us to pay and then tip her. THEN AFTER THAT, she decides to ask for ID, which I give her as we are both of legal drinking age. Turns out that my fiancé THE DRIVER needs to have her ID, but not me the one who payed for the order and wanted the damn drink. Well my fiancé forgot her ID as Applebee's website never asked for the driver to have a 21+ ID, all I got was a prompt that asked 'are you 21 or older?'. WOW GREAT JOB APPLEBEES ON CLARIFYING YOUR RULES AND REGULATIONS. Did the managers 5 year old kid write these up with crayons on a kids menu you give out? PLEASE TELL ME WHY Applebee's would want the driver to be the one in charge of an alcoholic beverage? Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen if you ask me. On top of this they forget my 81 year old Grandmom's coffee, and her broccoli as a side dish. My poor Grandmom with neurological issues has more common sense than this 'restaurant'. I mean seriously, there were pictures of Friends on the wall (the regrettable 90s tv show). There was a whole section of Nascar. Yknow, Applebees. Whatever. What else is there to say? The service was awesome, actually. Ray was really cool and seemed excited to have people who actually talked to him and whatnot. (Having grown up around here, I know how most folks are. Not the most pleasent, talkitive of folks...) The food was the food. Ok yknow what? I am going to just come out and say how crappy it was. The cut of steak I received was simply unacceptable. It was just a gigantic string of fat through which I could not chew. Which is a shame- it was cooked perfectly to my medium rare choice. It was served- as promised- sizzling very loudly on a bed of caramelized onions and mushrooms. Except there were no mushrooms. And caramelized would be a generous word for how these onions were cooked. The wife got the veggie burger. Now, the fact that there IS a veggie burger to order at Applebees is sort of commendable, right? Let me preface this review with telling you that I hate chain restaurants. I generally avoid them. But it was super late at night, and after a long day of working outside, I wasn't driving far, going to be too picky or cook dinner. Late night happy hour. After 9pm. Most apps are half off. drink specials. (beer is beer wherever you go, they have decent choices on tap). The boneless wings are some of my favorite boneless around. This is of course a completely separate category than regular wings. The BBQ come with ranch. But what made me write this review was the burger. It was delicious. Not at all what I expected. I expected a decent burger, but this was great. I ordered the black and blue. It was cooked perfectly. My husband who despises chains more than me, to my surprise, actually turned to me and proclaimed his approval. Another winner on their menu is the house side salad. It has egg and red onion in it. Not as boring as other places. The pretzels with beer-cheese dipping sauce were also really good. Of course, most of their menu is plain old chain variety, but its nice to know they have a couple of standouts. read more

I'm not sure why this place has low stars. You know what you're getting when you go to these places. I ordered the 2 for $20. Got a ton of food that will feed me for 3 days. I got the bacon cheeseburger and the steak bowl. Appetizer was the boneless wings (wish the bone in were an option). It came with queso and chips through Uber eats. The burger was pink which I asked for.. perfectly done. Everything tasted as expected from these mall type restaurants. Great deal for all the food I got and it tasted good. i went one night and this experience was absolutely terrible. First, waited 40 minutes for water! Next, waitress claimed "we ran out of wonton tacos at 5" about an hour later we had already ate and paid as we saw a waitress with 3 orders of wonton tacos. after we brought this to the waitresses attention she said "i can get the manager for you but we ran out at 5." we pointed out the tacos at the other table and still stood by her claim. waitress was flat out rude. afterwards the manager pulled our check and was a very nice lady. 1 star and would rather go to wawa for food. read more

I specifically joined Yelp just to review this restaurant. And it is a shame because if you look at me and my wife's reviews we are generally nice people but our service the last two weeks was UNACCEPTABLE. Every time we walk in this place it takes us forever to be seated by unfriendly host. The best I can say is we get our drinks fast but could have drank two drinks by the time it would take for the waitress to come back just to take our order. Speaking of their waitresses, they are probably the most unpleasant people I have ever encountered in my life. On multiple occasions if you sit in the lower bar area you can hear them gossiping and complaining about the customers in the restaurant or the workers around them. Eatin good in the hood is right. Its clean the wait staff is friendly n competent. I try something different every time I go in. I do like the fish n chips. I get n extra piece of fish for 3 bucks. Let me start my saying Applebee's is not one of my favorite restaurants. I don't really care for their food and haven't eaten there in a few years. I was with some family and they wanted to go and try the AYCE promotion. As I expected, the food was just ok. The reason I decided to write a review and the reason it is 5 stars was due to the service. We had a young last named Gab. She was without question one of the best servers I have had in a very long time at any casual dining concept. She was pleasant and took the time to build a relationship with us. I hope someone from corporate reads this and gives her the praise she deserves. One guest ordered a burger that was over done. Not a big deal. So that person changed their order to the AYCE deal also. Gab then went the extra mile to let her manager know about the situation. The manger on duty came over to apologize. She was very nice and sincere in her desire to make sure her guests were happy. I hope both Gab and her manager are recognized for their stellar performance. read more

I stopped in here on a Sunday night to catch up with a friend I haven't seen in a long time. We usually go for the late night happy hour for the long islands. Upon entering the not-so-crowded dining area (the bar was full) immediately I saw napkins and trash on the floor in front of empty tables. It looked like they just wiped everything from the table to the floor. We sat down and our server was pretty nice. We ordered our drinks and she pushed us to order food. I had come from a big dinner so I was fine with just a drink, my friend ordered "plain cheese quesadillas". Our drinks came out promptly and they were perfect. When my friends food came out however, they had chicken in them. He waved the server down and explained the mistake. She took them back to get a replacement. When the plain quesadillas came out ( in two parts, because the whole plate wasnt ready at the same time...?) they looked burnt and old. My friend ate them for the most part but I could tell he wasn't a fan. Our server told us she took them off the bill which was nice and appreciated. Overall I was just turned off by the obvious mess in the seating area. The same mess that I saw when I walked in I saw on my way out, despite seeing multiple servers and hosts passing by it. read more

I was very disappointed the last time I dined at Applebee's. The food quality has drastically declined. The shrimp in my shrimp salad was supposed to be seasoned and it wasn't. The ingredients on the salad were tasteless and there was not enough dressing. I was speaking to a friend who lives in another region of NJ and she feels the same way. The corporation must have made a conscious decision to lower the quality of the food they use. It's a shame because I used to enjoy going to Applebee's. I will not be going back. read more

Applebee's is like a lil date if you don't have enough to go out to eat like the Cheesecake Factory, but their food is top notch they make you wanna come back and order again, their prices aren't outrageous they are pretty reasonable, plus they have one right next door to the movie theaters just in case your hungry after watching a good movie. read more

Very unpleasant experience at this particular location. The server completely forgot about our table (a table of 4) and we waited 40-45 minutes for our entrees. There was only two other tables that were occupied in the entire restaurant at this time. The manager was also walking around and clearly saw that we were sitting there for a long time waiting for our food, and failed to do anything about it. I had an issue online so I called store to see if my order went through and someone answered the phone like it was a prank or joke. How unprofessional!! Sounded like someone's friend was there and picked up phone to be a dick!! When I called back I got someone else and she apologized over and over. Everything would have been ok if the food was good. Worst service ever experienced dining out. Our waitress was missing basically the entire 1.5 hours we spent while we waited patiently for our food. Appetizers came out late, ice cold, and the salads were completely drenched in dressing. When the entrees finally came out after 1 hour and 20 minutes they were again cold, under cooked, and completely unappetizing to say the least. Our waitress neglected to apologize for the poor service, extensive wait, and also never once cleared our table of dirty plates. The manager was also absent much of our time waiting and when confronted about the issues was very unclear of how he would attempt to right the wrongs. The entire experience was more aggravating than enjoyable and this will absolutely be my families last time dining at Applebee's. If looking for an enjoyable dining experience I'd advise to steer clear of this poorly ran establishment. I'd give zero stars if it was an option. read more

I NEVER do this. But for the amount of money to eat less than mediocre food, it was not worth it. We told our server we had limited time and to put the appetizer and entrees in together. It took 35 minutes to get our food, and it was cold. They remade it but by that time I couldn't eat my meal as it was time to leave.
