While the food was excellent, I have to first start with the service. The man at the front was a fantastic advocate for the business. When he saw my wife and I come in with kids in tow, he immediately entertained them while we had a chance to scope out the menu. As we ordered, he offered helpful tweaks - that seems like too much, if you have picky eaters we can do a grilled cheese, etc. He suggested the best sides and even ran to get the drinks filled at the fountain from the other side of the restaurant. 10/10 service that would have me back even if they served garbage. Fortunately, the food matched the service. My only complaint was that my burger was so juicy it squirted onto my shirt when I took a bite. That said, I'd sacrifice a shirt every time I can here if it meant I'd be treated to a perfectly juicy, expertly cooked patty. The sides were great too, led by the truffle fries. They had the perfect amount of Parmesan, finely grated so you didn't feel like you were just eating chunks of cheese, and the truffle oil was delicious. We also tried the Mac and cheese bites, which were tasty but a bit small if you want to split with more than two. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll find an excuse to get here and have another burger. read more

It's relatively simple ... when you are bold enough to put BURGER in your name your burgers need to be superb and these burgers were juicy deliciousness!! Walk in and the board challenges you with your options. There is even uh ... a Veggie burger (they keep a corner of the grill clean for those.) for those who don't indulge in the good stuff! Speaking of the grill ...it is kept nice and clean when the meat's not sizzling. Went with THE BLEND (chuck and brisket) on a pretzel roll. Added some aged gouda plus horseradish aioli oh my ...OH YES!!! Served open faced for the eyes to take in but I was eager to close it up and enjoy!! Cooked medium ... the juices poured out ... yes it got sloppy-good! The beef flavor came through midst all the other roll adornments! Tasted oh so good! A great burger! Ordered a side of fries ... they were plentiful but merely ok but we came for the BURGER!! Service was great ... friendly and interactive! There are only a few small tables (No room for all your friends!) and the "barr" which is a lengthy counter where you can eat your burgers elbow-to-elbow with friends or strangers. Strip mall inside was clean and nicely decorated. Menu on wall large to see and also a print menu. Employees exceptional! Great service friendly and helpful. 3 people all ordered the Kobe burger. Choose of bun went with brioche and seedless white. Buns good size to fit burger. The burgers were ordered medium one came more well done. But everyone enjoyed lettuce, tomato and secret sauce. Side of fries had skin on yum. Malted vinegar available. Also got onion straws with some the secret sauce. Boylan's rootbeer in bottle the fountain soda machine was being worked on. BurgerBarr is across from Washington Township high school. We each got the blend burger medium well and it was amazing! Fresh beef and very flavorful. We shared an order of fries and onion strings, and got fountain drinks. Fountain drinks are Boylan Bottling Co sodas, which we've never had before, but was very good! Dishonest business to say the least. Shame such potential. Basically another version of Five Guys. Food was solid decided with the Kobe Beef Burger and the cheese curds. Curds lacked flavor and seasoning would recommend it with a zesty sauce vs ketchup. Burger was a tad overcooked but not to the point of making the burger lack juicyness (asked m rare was more on the m well side) The worst part unfortunately is that the menu is not honest and doesn't reflect what you are actually paying. Spent an extra $3.50 in up charges/options vs what the menu says you will pay. Menu says prices subject to change but only in one section so makes you think it's over the toppings only. Asked the "chef" about this and just justified the one small part of the price changes and prices are going up. Just update the menu and be honest with your guests a very simple fix. Plenty of other options avoid this dishonest establishment. read more

Anytime I go to Burger Barr I always introduce a friend or family member to it, betting that it will be the best burger they every had. I went there again over the weekend with a good friend, and told him it would be the best burger he ever had. When we got our food, I let him take the first bite just so I could see his reaction. I stopped in yesterday and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I did not realize how the menu worked. The gentleman was very accommodating to explain it to me. Offered me a menu to have a seat and look it over. When I decided what I wanted, I walked up to the register and placed my order. All sides such as fries or onion rings are separate as well as drinks. We sat down at a table for four grabbed our drinks ourselves. Soon after our fries and onion rings came out. Then our burgers. I should have pushed two tables together as the baskets are large and barely fit on the table. The food was very good, one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Party of four cost us about $80. We had four burgers, three sides and two sodas. If you have a chance, give them a try. The food is good. That said, as I was out travelling for work I needed something hearty to keep my filled through a night event that was going to be on the low-carb side, so I went for BurgerBarr and got the burger you see in the photo. The one that suits me is "The Blend". I like my burger cooked a little more, cooked... And this was perfect. In the past, I tried the "Premium Chunk" and it was a bit on the sweet side. But this one hit right. Topped with some copper sharp cheddar and away we go! Fries were crispy and a different brand of Fry from the last time I reviewed... Much better. Holy Hell that was one of the best burgers I had. Very few places lately to me gets the fried egg right, this place nailed it. The bacon was great and the Texas Toast was exactly what the burger needed. Great service and love that the burger chef/staff will ask you how it was to make sure they did good. Visited the BurgerBarr for dinner on a whim today with my boyfriend. It was the best decision we have made in a while!! I can say that this was most definitely the BEST burger I've eaten in my 22 years of life. We ordered the regular fries and cheese curds for an appetizer. The regular fries are cooked to perfection, and have a hint of truffle oil mixed in. It is noticable but not overwhelming. We got the chipotle ketchup on the side, which had the perfect amound of tang. The cheese curds though.... just wow. They are a MUST with the housemade ranch. I could've ate the whole basket myself! For the burger, I got the Blend, on Brioche, with Cheddar, LT, pickles and garlic aoili - cooked Medium well. The burger was juicy, and was most certainly cooked with love. The other half got the Blend, on a Pretzel bun, with Smoked Gouda, applewood smoked bacon, and garlic aoili. He was as in-love with his burger as (he is with me) I was :) Another plus - they have a pickle station, and Cane Sugar sodas! Back story.... This place used to be called something like Burgers, Chips & Shakes. I wanted to try it out a few years ago and made the half hour drive to find they had closed in the middle of the day. I was HANGRY and I wrote a bad review for them in the midst of Hanger. The owner reached out and was very apologetic and I came to my senses once the hanger subsided and dented the bad review. But never really got around to trying it I bring you to present day...Really craving a burger, this place pops into my head from the ol yelp archives. I find they have changed names. Long story short this place is AWESOME. They have something here for everyone. The truffle sauce is everything. You can really customize your burger and they have really good quality sides. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the gentleman behind the register was knowledgeable about the products and offered great suggestions. One thing I loved about the service was his question if we were students, military, firefighters, etc and since we are students, it's nice to know there is a discount offered for that.
