I have not dined at an Applebee's for many years, but wanted a quick dinner. Good location and plenty of staff. It was early in the evening, so the location was not busy. My meal was simple, grilled salmon and potatoes with broccoli. The salmon was way over cooked so was not flakey, but did have good flavor. Potatoes dry and over cooked. Broccoli was limp and over done. The waiter was very attentive. Did I mention the place was not busy? Will have a quick dinner somewhere else next visit. read more

No lettuce, tomato, pickle...but two slices of American cheese (not necessarily a positive attribute). Burger was greasy, and onion rings were dry and tasteless. A small plate for a hefty price. The food quality was good and it came out in a timely manner. The service was really good as well. The only reason I give them only 3 stars is because there was a large table of employees dining in (some of them in uniform) and they were drinking and making obscene remarks. I was dining in alone but there were families around me that were noticeably offended by the way the employees and supervisors were conducting themselves. I expect a higher level of professionalism from this brand. If you don't mind crazy loud laughter, the eff word used in every sentence and dirty jokes that you can hear from across the restaurant then this is a pretty good place to be. read more

I came here around 5pm and the place seemed pretty crowded. They were keeping everyone that came in all cluttered up in the corner. I asked the waitress if we could be seated at a different table and she was more than happy to help us out with that. We got all appetizers this time and unfortunately the wait was a little longer than anticipated. The food we got was actually cooked to perfection. I was very satisfied with the results. Overall. Yes, I will definitely continue making Applebee's a regular place to go. Something that I hope does improve is the speed of the service. Showed up at 5:55 and ordered drinks for happy hour (since it ends at 6) just to have our waitress let us know that we have to go by "applebee's time" because their clocks run 10 minutes fast, even though the brochures say 6 we didn't get the deal because the computers end happy hour at 5:50? Applebee's is consistent, not great or outstanding but it is good. The service is always up to par. It is very similar to Chili's which I tend to lean towards more but Applebee's is still decent. read more

0 STARS ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE My mom and I stopped in on our travels across country We got the 2 for 22$ .. we got a spinach dip that looked like it was just thrown on the plate with barely any chips. We both ordered the 6oz steak MEDIUM .. I got mashed potatoes and green beans my mom got a baked potato and green beans. We never got lemon for our drinks, my alcoholic drink was served after my meal.. the food was cold and the steaks were 1 rare 1 well done.. the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed.. we told the waitress we were unhappy several times and she confirmed she would get the manager several times. We never saw the manager until we asked the hostess to get her! Apparently this was never related to the manager . The managers name was Nicole and when she finally came to the table we were livid and she took care of the meal for us after she realized the disaster. We left unsastified and barely full on our long 11 hour drive to get to our hotel. The manager was nice but I cant believe what we just experienced. Weve never had bad experiences with Applebees. Great staff, very friendly, but VERY bad food. I ordered 3 cheese cavatappi pasta and there was no flavor to the sauce. The noodles at the top of the bowl were dry, the noodles on the bottom of the bowl were overcooked and tossed in a watery sauce. I don't think the cooks tasted it before it was sent out. read more

Terrible food. $50 for two adults and a kid for lunch and I couldn't even eat the chicken, it tasted like soap. The only enjoyable part was the side salad which is tough to screw up. My husband and I went to have dinner at the Applebees here in Roswell, NM tonight being as they had patio seating and we didn't have our masks with us. We had just been there this past Sunday and had such great service, so we decided it would be our best choice tonight. Well once we got there, the waiter told us we could not eat there without a mask. We told him we were going to dine outside as we had Sunday and he said, no, we had to have masks even outside. We are out of town staying in a hotel. Tonight at 9 PM my husband went in and ordered take out. He got back to the hotel and NO plastic silverware nor napkins in to go bag. Not impressed with food much either. But to put together a to go bag with nothing to eat food with?!? Very poor. read more

My wife and I were on vacation this past week. We typically do not eat at chain restaurants on vacation and initially were down the street at Maxie's Tomato's which was absolutely horrible in so many ways! After leaving that restaurant without eating dinner we needed a place to go and eat and noticed Applebee's a few blocks up the street. This was a safe choice and were greeted nicely by the host and sat immediately. Our waitress's name was Ashley and she listened to our horrible experience at Maxie's Tomato's. She was so kind and generous that my frown and disgust minimize. The food was what we expected from Applebee's and similar to what we get at the others so five star rating is mainly driven by Ashley's outstanding performance! I thank Yelp for providing a platform where the public can share their reviews. I use and find it to be very helpful. read more

The French onion soup I had was good & full of flavor, but compared to the rib-eye steak which I ordered medium rare was disappointing, it came medium well. My lady had her hamburger & suggested me to overlook the issue, but to people who enjoys their steak on the rare side, it could be difficult like chewing on rubber, besides I was paying for a rib-eye. My steak was sent back and came the manager to ensure me that the steak was cooked right to my order, and he personally had monitored the temperature for doneness, but a new piece would be cooked to my liking to ensure my satisfaction. Arrived later a medium rare steak was served but with the baked potato which I ordered without cheese, it was loaded with the yellow flakes, I scraped the cheese off & consumed my dinner. Moments later, our server showed up & asked us to settle the bill because her shift was over, no problem but surely was not a pleasant dinning experience at this joint while I'd had experienced better at other Applebee's. read more

We had family lunch here. When we first went in, it was super busy. We ordered fairly simple, hamburgers, specials and kids chicken strips meal. We waited 45 minutes then the waiter came out and said they were out of chicken strips and what would we like for a replacement. We ask him about the rest of the meal and they would start the kids meal with our new selection. Of course we were happy with our food getting cold. We had noticed and spoke with a well dressed man walking around. We stopped him and explained what had just happened. He was very pleasant and said he would take care of it. Within a minute the manager, waiter and a helper with our food. The kids meal was boneless chicken with extras. The manager came back many times. He comped us the kids meal and free deserts for all. What a great place! Can't believe how outstanding the service and food was. I eat at a lot of Applebee's and this one is a step above! Our server was Lindsay and she went above and beyond. She did something very few servers do anymore treated my young kids like actual people! From the time we entered until we left we were treated great. We were disappointed in the customer service this evening at Applebee's. We ordered our food over the phone at 11:15, knowing that the kitchen would be wanting to close down before closing at 12. The poor attitude from the employee over the phone seemed annoyed and bothered from the fact that we wanted to put an order in. It was a small order for 2 people and we were there in a timely manner to pick it up. When we got there at 11:40 we asked if we could just sit in the restaurant and quickly eat our food that was prepared already, this request was denied because the employee said that final call was already called for even though there was still people eating in the restaurant. We understand that working in the restaurant business can make for long and frustrating days but we felt like our business was not appreciated. Driving home to Meridian from Salt Lake City, we decided to stop in Twin Falls for a quick bite to eat, and ended up stopping at the Applebee's. From the moment we opened the door to the time we left, I can't imagine a single thing that could have made it better. We sat at the bar, and the bartender, Allison was right there with menus and water. We had their Ribeye and their Salmon ... both were perfectly prepared in record time. The service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable for what we ordered. We will definitely stop here again when we are in this part of Idaho. read more

Horrible customer service! You can only order exactly as the menu states! No substitutions at all! Even the manager wouldn't waver on any substitutions. My daughter didn't want fries, they couldn't help her with that! Her friend ordered the philly cheesesteak sandwich that was on the menu. They said the menus they were using were old and they don't have that sandwich anymore. But they do have a philly cheesteak burger. I mean really! You can make it as a burger but not as a sandwich? After ordering the Thai Chicken salad, I expected what I would consider a reasonably sized salad since it was, you know, a main course salad. I got what amounted to a side salad. I mentioned this to the server and she responded with, "our portion sizes changed about a month ago." Ok, great. What the heck does that even mean? Is that an admission that the picture on the menu is misleading? I thought about carrying it further, but our server was a little on the intense side and I decided to drop it.
