We actually eat at Jakers quite often! I Moved here about 2 years ago and have always been impressed with their food and their service! I'm a lover of the billion dollar salad.. and now they have their soup n salad bar so that's a nice switch occasionally. I also love their salmon! My husband loves the prime rib French dip and my daughter gets the alfredo and loves it, it's a large serving! Always end up taking home leftovers The atmosphere is very modern and family oriented. The wait staff is always kind and helpful when asking for recommendations. The restaurant is Not too loud, but just all around an enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend Jakers! read more

Had a waitress that was in training with another waitress. Not good training. Never asked how we would like our burger done. The man who dropped it off at our table almost threw it down so he could run off. No asking if there was anything else we needed. The one time the waitresses came over we asked for more ketchup never got it. My husband ordered another drink- didn't get it ( didn't get charged for it so as they walked away they already forgot) The prices for the serving you receive are high. We were in town visiting family and they recommended Jakers to us. What a great restaurant!! The service was incredible! Seriah, our server was so sweet and friendly. She even sat down for a few minutes and chatted with us. She checked several times during our dinner to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. The meal was started off with these yummy rolls and honey butter. Mmmmm I ordered the rib eye cap. It came with two sides, so I chose salad and a baked potato. Everything was delicious! The salad was fresh with homemade croutons. The house ranch was amazing! My rib eye was cooked to perfection! The loaded baked potato was the best I have ever had! Everything was hot and cooked just right. My husband ordered the large prime rib with a baked potato and clam chowder. His meal was also hot and cooked to perfection!! Initially, I thought I was entering an old Spencer's restaurant full of old people enjoying dinner at 5p. I was partly wrong, but very similar. From the second we walked in, the staff were SUPER friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was clean, but still throwing the Spencer's old man restaurant vibe. Definitely needs updating into the present. Anyway let's get to the food. The prices were pretty cheap and sadly the serving sizes went along with the price. Multiple people at the table ordered steaks and I've maybe never seen a steak SO small and thin in my life at a restaurant. I had the almond breaded chicken and thought it was pretty tasty, but also on the small side. Everything about this place resonated old people dinner starting at 4pm. All and all the food was good, which is why I gave it 4 stars. If you are just hungry and want to come get something to eat, this place satisfies the need. Sadly I probably wouldn't recommend them in the future. Charge a little more and actually make food that makes people want to return. This place will bring the table complementary scones with honey butter. They come out warm which is great to melt the butter. They offer fresh lemonade which you can also add a flavor to. I personally prefer the Mango Lemonade. (insert Chefs kiss here). While they have a wide variety of food from steaks to seafood I enjoy their Strawberry Chicken Salad. You can get the chicken grilled, crispy, or blackened. The poppy seed dressing just makes the salad all that much better. Robin was my waitress tonight and she was fantastic ensuring everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area. read more

Super generous portions and their scones (bread basket) with honey butter was delish. We had seconds. I love Jakers! Whatever you order is always going to be good. My favorite is the strawberry chicken salad. The portion size is huge and the chicken is cooked perfectly. Very disappointed. We've been coming here for over 20 years. It's always been one of our favorites. This time we were celebrating our 62nd anniversary. My wife likes the prime rib and said it was good this time. I, having lost the taste for red meat , a few years back, ordered tempura shrimp. In the past it's always been 5 large shrimp. This time it was 5 small shrimp that were butterflied to make them look larger and, trust me, that was not tempura batter. In addition, they raised the price. I doubt that we will be back. read more

Visited from out of town and needed a burger badly. The clerk at my hotel recommended Jakers, so I ran right over. I was greeted, then made my way to the bar. I was greeted by the bartender and given a menu. I always order the basic burger before going all the way with the fancy stuff. I was happy to see they use SRF and Double RR meats. A big win. Burger was made just as I asked, but the bun was a bit cold and plain. Removed a star for that, but I would definitely return for one of the other burgers on the menu. Fries were cooked perfectly and all ingredients within the burger were crunchy and fresh. Had a pleasant experience overall. A nice place to hang out. read more

I went back-and-forth between a 1-star and a 2-star and I'm surprised I'm giving this Jakers such a low score. I was staying the night in Twin Falls and wanted a French Dip - takeout to my hotel. I ordered it over the phone - Prime RIb French Dip with a side of French onion soup and a crème brûlée. If it weren't for the crème brûlée, this review would be a 1-star without question. I picked up my order, it was ready, I was well-received, the hostess was very nice, etc. I was so excited for this meal and couldn't wait to enjoy it in my hotel room. I dove into the French onion soup first. GAH! - what is that? It's like I bit right in the spot where they poured the salt. I mean it was sooo salty. Inedibly so. Tossed that out in the trash straightaway after mixing it and trying to chug soda after each bite. Not salvageable. But then there's the French Dip. This has got to be good. I've been waiting for this fella. The bread was hard - like, super stale tough hard, but, maybe that's just how it is because you're gonna dip it and it won't get so soggy if it's a firmer bread? OK ... but that au jus ... and the meat .... and the Swiss .... soooo salty. Terribly salty. I mean this was end of day so maybe the longer it stewed, the saltier it got? The meat was tough too. I don't know, but I threw out all that food and I'm so mad I had to waste that money. I will say though - the crème brûlée - which has got to be hard to pack up for takeout, didn't look great, but it DID taste good. Still had that good hard-shell top and that yummy inside. I typically love Jakers. Hadn't been there in a couple of years until yesterday. My cousin and I walked into the bar and sat down. I have worked customer service almost my whole life, and I could not imagine being as disrespectful as the bartender was that day. No greeting, no menu. Looking around I thought maybe she is busy. Then she proceeded to start her dishes still ignoring the fact that we were sitting at her bar. The title on her name tag was (Robin) manager. Your menu selections are fabulous! Your bartenders (and drink selections) are the best in the universe. Not knocking any of that. But...your female servers are now required to wear black shirts, when the male servers continue to wear the white chefs' jackets. I guess that bothers me since the male servers are perceived to be "chefs" and more schooled in the service of customers. Why do they not wear black shirts like the female servers? Why the difference? Don't get me wrong, all the servers are top-notch, but it seems kinda of unequal. Well, that's my 2 cents. See you tomorrow for my favorite martini and French dip! read more

Delicious food; excellent service. Greeted when we arrived and greetings as we left salad was cold and fresh and the crispy chicken sandwich was hot crispy and very tender and moist. Except for the fact that I thought it was a little pricey we enjoyed our meals return in this area. They do charge for using a credit card. read more

Was in Twin Falls for a quick stop and was recommended to come and try Jakers Bar and Grill as a dinner option from our hotel. We arrived around 7:45pm on a Thursday and waited via a waitlist for about 5 minutes to get seated. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan dinner option, which came with a greens salad (with your choice of dressing, I picked balsamic vinaigrette) and I picked garlic mashed potato side. If you want quantity, Jakers definitely has you covered! I arrived pretty hungry and wasn't able to completely finish everything. They also give complementary bread rolls with butter - the butter itself is sweeter than your typical dinner roll butter, which some people may not like, but I personally enjoyed it. Chicken Parmesan: Chicken wasn't dry and the flavor/seasoning was good and there was a decent amount of pasta underneath the chicken. Overall, $24 for chicken parmesan + a side and salad. I would recommend stopping by Jakers if you are feeling hungry and looking to fill up! read more

The seared tuna was ok. The miso sauce it came with was delicious. The dish looks sloppily prepared. But was ok. The prime rib cooked perfect. Tasted fantastic with the prepared horseradish. Fries and fry sauce was as it should be. However adding the miso sauce from the tuna to the fry sauce, made a delicious dressing. My wife enjoyed her meal. Our waitress took good care of us. Food is good, steaks cooked as ordered and good serving sizes, service was a bit slow when we went but otherwise would swing into this restaurant again when passing through. Was very happy to see a vast drink menu, lots of cocktails, wines and beer list as well. In addition, the restaurant balances the atmosphere with a welcoming kids menu very reasonably priced and variety in selection as well. I must say the baked potato skin was by far the best I've had in a steak house, they cook new ones up every half hour and had a nice crisp skin with salt and fluffy inside. The Thai noodle salad I got with sirloin was really flavorful and very filling as well as it balanced the noodles, veggies and protein very well. Although service was slightly lacking, they were very friendly and nice but just not quite on it but very minor upset for us. I had a pretty good experience at this bar and grill! It is located right next to the hotel I was staying in for work travel, which made it convenient and easy to walk to. They also have a large selection of draft beers, which was a feather in their cap. You can sit in the dining room or a more casual bar area. I opted for the bar area. I went with a draft stella and million dollar salad with blackened shrimp. It was fresh and yummy. They also have incredible rolls, which are somewhat sweet and very addicting. The restaurant was SLAMMED when I was there at around 7 PM on a Tuesday. If I would not have found a seat at the bar, I was looking at a 45 minute wait (per the hostess).
