Did an online order for pick up at 12:10pm. I arrived 5 minutes early and the hostess checked on my order and said they are just finishing it up and it would be right out. At 12:40pm finally got my order after tables that had showed up after me had gotten appetizers. They said the kitchen was busy, they had 10 tables in the restaurant when I arrived and they all had their meals already. Left and got home 15 minutes away and my salad didn't have any dressing on it or did they provide the dressing on the side for me to put on it. I've never had any issues till today. Anytime you drive by the Plaza Way location the parking lot is full. I like going there for a date or double date with friends. Their specials are worth checking out. Right now for $14.99 you can order 3 appetizers with 3 sauces. For a special occasion like a birthday or when we're just craving something chocolate the brownie bite is 330 calories. I'm not sure why the low stars, but I had an excellent meal here. The shrimp bowl had a nice kick to it and plenty of tasty shrimp. I enjoyed the avocado and black beans/corn mix and appreciated that the whole bowl wasn't rice but half lettuce under the top goodness. Ahh, the crispy wontons added to the texture in a perfect way. Our waiter, Travis, has been working here since it opened back in 2005 (I hope I got that year right). He was efficient and friendly. Ordered "to go" on a Saturday around 4pm. Easy ordering and easy pick up which was 20 minutes later. Everything was great. One order was perfect ( chicken taco appetizer). The hamburger had several tomatoes when asked "no tomatoes " The salmon was tasty, but didn't include the lemon as was pictured in the menu. Just a little disappointed. Applebees has really declined.?we just moved here from texas. A few nights ago we ordered takeout. A half rack of baby backs with fries and Nachos. Nachos were great! Now for the ribs! I am giving 2 stars for the benefit of the doubt, otherwise 1 star. My wife got there and were completely ignored for 10 min until we are seated at the bar, without being asked if we wanted the bar. Once seated... oh boy... nobody would come to check on us, to bring water, to get the order... nothing! The lady at the bar was looking at us but didn't bother to act. The server who seated us was too busy flirting with some teenage boys in another table and didn't bother either, simply ignored us. The place was pretty empty and looked run down. This is the first time that we have been here for the deal of the century, better known as 5.99 hamburgers, since they remodeled the place. We walk in and the hostess barely has time to say how many minutes it will be before we have a table, when we breeze by her, pointing to the bar. Let's face it, why wait to stuff your face when you can do so in a matter of minutes at the bar, as long as you are legal. Plus, it was 5:55 p.m., which means exactly FIVE minutes left in happy hour, and you know what that means, a way cheaper beer. We order the usual cowboy burgers, one rare, like still mooing and the other exactly the opposite, totally dead, and hold that cheese, a water and a beer. Then we had a moment to look around to figure out there had been a slight remodel to the joint, including that the booths that used to be in the bar are GONE. Only tables with these stupid high chairs. If I were really a baby, I certainly would not be eating in the bar. Not, not a fan of high chairs. However, the drinks arrive lightening fast and the two burgers are here soon after. One almost dead cow (yes there was a little pink inside) and the other one definitely dead cow (no pink there). However, the fries must have been made a bit earlier as they weren't exactly warm and not as tasty as previous times. But for price, no real complaints here. Back to the remodel. We honestly would not have noticed the remodel except for the absence of the booths in the bar. Hope they didn't spend a lot of money on it. read more

Stopped in for lunch with a friend, it was slow. Was greeted very pleasantly, got to start our appetizers with one of the managers then was greeted with our waitress Jaycie, super sweet and attentive. Then an older gal comes in and gets seated behind us and she sits there for a couple mins and starts fussing about something to herself then the waitress comes over and the lady immediately stands up and rudely states to the waitress "this table just isn't going to work, it shouldn't be used" as she proceeds to sit at the other booth directly behind me and notices this table does the same thing. It's literally just wobbly! She storms ups and out of the booth, says to the waitress " are you kidding me this is just ridiculous" Mind you she's solo. She then sits at a table. A young man comes over and proceeds to sanitize the tables she just wiped her self all over, she then lays into him " What are you doing? Those tables are shut down per your manager and totally throws the kid off. I'm was literally blown away by the way she was treating these two, her friend then shows up and she goes on to rant and rave and downgrade the place all over the darn tables. It was a mood killer for sure, Jaycie handled it extremely well and did everything she could to make her happy and this lady was still so bothered yet stuck a round to eat! Last month, we traveled through Walla Walla, and spent the night and enjoyed a little tour of the town, we had a blast! So, of course, we went to Applebees! The atmosphere was great. Our bartender, Lacy, was very friendly and nice, she made us feel welcome, answered our questions about Walla Walla, and made perfect cocktails. On our way back to California, a few days ago, we stayed again in Walla Walla. We went back to Applebees, but our experience was a lot different this time. Our bartender, Hilary, was rude, trashy, and couldn't make a cocktail if her life depended on it. She was clearly annoyed by our presence because the first thing she said to us was 'What do you want.' Her very low-cut top was inappropriate, and her constant bending down to show her cleavage while flirting with our husbands made us all feel uncomfortable. Her drinks were terrible and her nonstop chatter, belittling her coworkers, was annoying. She didn't care about us, or any other customer. One woman told us she was going to contact Hilary's manager or the corporate office. It was sad to see such a huge change from our visit last month. We love Applebees and will continue to go to other locations, just not this one. read more

I feel like writing a review for a big chain restaurant is pointless, they're making enough so they don't give a hoot, but I am bothered. My issue is with their "Carside To Go" service, which is more like "Call in your Order, Get Put on Hold, Never Be Answered, Get to Restaurant Place Your Own Order, Order up in 12 minutes, Jk 20 mins, get out of your come pick it up Yourself." Service, yeah not so fun and easy as it sounds. I call in orders all the time, I love their Cedar Salmon, it's dry at times but there's ways around that, drench it in Tapatio and Lime! I don't mind getting out, it's good exercise to go along with yummy salmon, but don't call it "Carside" if I'm coming inside, it's a time waster especially if you're an on the go type of person. I mean it's a overhyped chain restaurant to put it best. Some things are a good deal I think (2 for $22) but most things are overpriced. Every time my fiancé gets the check he always complains on how we could've gone somewhere better for the price, and he's right. We've only had one bad experience with a waitress but I don't think she works there anymore. There take out is pretty handy sometimes. Also they won't serve you alcohol if you have a horizontal license, even if your 21+. So if you have one and want to go drinking don't go there. The inside is clean and we've never had more than 1 bad experience. Just overpriced. read more

I've been to this location twice now. It's your typical Applebee's no surprises. The staff is always been friendly. They seem to be pretty busy which is a good sign. The food is neither great nor bad just average and is why I'm giving the three stars. If you want to eat decent meal at a decent price with friendly service in Walla Walla I do recommend Applebee's. I have tried both a chicken sandwich and their pulled pork tacos while visiting. And they were okay nothing to complain about but honestly nothing to Rave about. read more

We dined at this location when it first opened a few years back, but had then decided not to make any returning visits. Not because the overall experience was bad, but simply because we weren't impressed with the prices versus the quality of food received. But when we recently received an Applebee's gift card for Christmas, we thought we'd give it another go. We went on a Sunday evening around 8, so the place was fairly quiet, but still had a few customers which was a good sign to us. We were promptly greeted at the door and politely asked where we would like to sit versus the usual, "Let me show you to a table" routine often heard at most establishments. We opted to sit in the bar area so we could watch the football highlights. Conveniently, there were TV's on multiple walls so we could both easily see what was playing on the screens, and wouldn't ya know it, the Coyboys beat the Lions, unfortunately. We sat for about five minutes before being greeted by the waitress, which was a little long in our book, but we were feeling famished, so it could have just been us being impatient. Nevertheless, the waitress was amazingly friendly, gave good drink and food recommendations, and wasn't overly attending. Our last visit left us a little put off by the way-too-happy, musical (yes, singing) waitress, so this time around already gets 5 stars at this point. The only other happenings that put us off were that the drinks we ordered visibly sat on the bar counter for ten minutes (yes, we timed it) before being delivered to the table. We could have gotten up and got them ourselves, but we wanted to gauge the accuracy of the service. This is excusable though. From working in food service myself, I know that when there aren't a lot of customers, it's easy to lose track of time because you feel like you can relax. The only other glitch was the price of a single craft beer. Most bars and restaurants in Walla Walla charge $3-4.50 a glass. A single beer at Applebee's tops the charts at $5.50. I can only imagine what a cocktail will run you. All in all, the service and food was great. We ordered the parmesan chicken and shrimp, cooked medium rare and it was right on par. I'm finishing the leftovers at home as I type. Also, if you're looking for a nice non-alcohol pairing to your meal, the frozen lemonade is delicious and will only set you back $2.99. I got a Cesar salad which was average, good lettuce though. The wonton tacos I liked. Nice and crunchy and just enough fillings to make it tasty. The boneless wings were very good. I was surprised. The huge bonus was that the boneless wings are .25 ea now! Must order in multiples of 5. I got the Thai chile? on my first 5. It was spicy warm and tasty. So I got 5 more!
