Ahi Tuna and Half Ensalata Verde
    Erin B.

Came with a bunch of friends and we had a nice experience! I enjoyed the Phat King cocktail, essentially a duck fat washed old fashioned. The ahi wontons were fantastic, as was the fresh ceviche. The winning entree at the table was the Ahi Tuna, which was coriander crusted and came with soba noodles and cucumbers. Overall it's a beautiful space with good food. I will say some of the others in the group weren't huge fans of some of their items so some items may be hit or miss. Our waitress and the servers were great, splitting our salad and entree without needing to request.

Wow! Passing through Walla Walla for the evening. Saw this place on Yelp. Amazing!!! Service was outstanding, sat at the bar and Hayden was the bartender. She loves what she does cause the service was perfect. I had the New York steak and it was on point. The house Cab paired very nice with it.... To top it off Hayden recommended the salted caramel ice cream...it left me speechless! if I ever find my way back to Walla Walla, this is the spot!

Salted Mill came recommended by many coworkers, but even with the recommendations, this restaurant exceeded all my expectations! This is such a gem in Walla Walla. The ambience is modern and clean, but the restaurant is in a large space, and the tables are nice and spread out, so you don't feel like you are on top of one another. All the staff was super friendly, and one neat thing about this place is it has an open kitchen, so you can watch them cook and prep. Even with the open kitchen, the restaurant is not super loud over overwhelming. The food was amazing! It had unique dishes and and staple dishes so there is something for everyone. The appetizers were my favorite. We tried both the ahi nachos and the savory panna cotta with some pita. Both are must tries, but if you have to choose only one, get the panna cotta. The sweetness of the berries and honey with the saltiness of the cheese and pistachios is perfection. For my main I had the New York steak which was cooked great. I was in the mood for steak, and while my steak was delicious I definitely want to go back and try more of the entrees. Then for dessert, we had their take on a sticky toffee pudding and it was the perfect way to end meal. Salted Mill is a must try in Walla Walla.

Sat at the Chef's Table as we couldn't get the barrel experience but it was fun to watch the kitchen staff. Natalie was our server. Very friendly and bubbly - maybe a bit overly so but she was nice. Ordered the ahi won ton $18 for 3, ahi entree $39 And pork shops $37. For the price of $6 each, ahi won tons were overpriced. Pork cops were delicious as were the asparagus. The ahi was ok. It would have been better served with rice than potatoes. Ordered the honey cake $14. Bit of a disappointment- it was dry and underwhelming in taste and size. We mentioned that to Natalie and she comped the dessert. It's a nice venue with good food and nice staff.

Coconut lavender cocktail w/ tequila - YUM!

The ambience at this establishment is beautiful. We were lucky enough to get a table that felt like we were inside of a wine barrel. I'm not sure if that's because of how far in advance we booked the reservation or the size of our party, but we were happy nonetheless. The menu is somewhat concise, leaving me with a few options I considered. I had the lavender coconut cocktail, which was delicious! I also ordered the tuna wontons, which were also great. The swordfish was a bit dry and it came with chorizo, which I was not too excited about, but overall it was OK. The servers were attentive, friendly and polite. The kitchen is open concept so you can see what they are up to. The price point is on the higher end scale. They have one numerous awards.

Great newish restaurant in Walla Walla. The atmosphere is open and the giant wine barrels are a fun add to the space. Food was absolutely delicious. My wife loved the gochujang tofu, and I got the steak frites and really enjoyed them. The cocktails were delicious and things felt festive and special. Service was friendly, maybe a little overly friendly (we didn't like having to shake hands) but was competent and quick.

Mocha Cake and Salted Butterscotch Ice Cream

After hearing rave reviews about this new restaurant, Salted Mill, and coming off a crazy week where I absolutely did not feel like cooking, I decided to hop online and see if I could grab a reservation. I was so excited when I found a 6:00 p.m. opening on a Saturday night! We arrived, and the place was popping. It's such a fun atmosphere--there's seating for everyone, and the vibe is "come as you are." Some people were dressed up, others casual, and everything in between. You truly feel comfortable no matter what you're wearing. The overall ambience was ultra chic. The hostesses were incredibly sweet. They searched and searched for my reservation, only for me to realize (to my dismay ) that I had booked it for Sunday instead of Saturday. Without missing a beat, they kindly said, "Give us just a moment," and came back offering us a high-top in the bar. We were more than happy to take it! They even thoughtfully asked if I wanted to cancel the next night's reservation--such a small detail, but it meant a lot. From there, the experience just kept getting better and better. Our server came over immediately, and the service was truly on point the entire evening. I was blown away by the drink options--especially the wine and cocktail list. Whatever your preference, they have you covered. I ordered the Cherry Drop, and my husband had the Daylight Savings--both were beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. For dinner, my husband ordered the ensalada verde and added steak, and he has not stopped talking about how good it was. I went with the gochujang glazed tofu--wow. The presentation alone was stunning. The mushrooms were rich and flavorful, the rice was honestly some of the best I've had, and the tofu had just the perfect amount of heat. I was impressed by how inclusive the menu is--whether you're vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or a full-on carnivore, there are so many wonderful options. They also offer a great selection of gluten-free choices, which is such a thoughtful touch. You can truly taste the quality in the ingredients and see the care in the preparation. When we finished dinner, we were brought a dessert menu, and I asked our server for recommendations. She suggested the mocha cake and the salted butterscotch ice cream--and mentioned that people often order both together. So of course... I did. And oh my heavens... this dessert. The mocha cake was perfectly balanced--not too sweet, with a light, delicate frosting where you could taste every layer of flavor. Paired with that rich, buttery ice cream... it was the perfect combination. Honestly, it reminded me of a family member of mine who used to make the most incredible cakes--it had that same homemade, heartfelt quality. To top it all off, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was actively moving throughout the restaurant making sure every guest felt taken care of. That kind of hands-on hospitality speaks volumes. The staff all worked so well together and you could tell they all loved their jobs. Hospitality: 10/10 Presentation: 10/10 Taste: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 We left feeling so grateful for such a wonderful dining experience. It's been a while since I've written a review, but this one couldn't wait. Highly, highly recommend.

On our recent trip to Walla Walla, we stopped in for a night cap and dessert at the Salted Mill. What a great choice, this place was still buzzing from a busy dinner, but we got in just before they closed at 9 PM. No pushback, welcome to us in, sat at the bar. We were only there for a nightcap and dessert, I chose the old-fashioned on the menu using Zachariah rye. We also had the chocolate mousse cake, I believe it was. Which was excellent! Our server was very friendly and engaging, never at any point trying to rush us or get us out the door by 9 PM. One of the things I've really liked about this restaurant is the owner, Jim, is there and engaging with customers and helping the staff and it looks like everybody working there really enjoys working with each other, as they are very friendly, and this shows with their service to the customers. So thank you jim (and team) for making it a great environment for your team, which makes it a great experience for your customers.

Great find downtown. Sat in the bar and they offered the full dinner menu. Meganie H. was our server and she was amazing! Perfectly paired wines, fantastic food ,service and ambience.

We tried the Salted Mill in May when we made a weekend trip to Walla Walla. We had made a reservation four weeks prior and had requested the ability to sit in the wine cask booth that they have. However, when we arrived, we were told that they did not have one available even though they had one that was empty. The owner, Jim, came over and talked to us, and we explained to him that we really wanted to sit in that booth, and that was part of the reason we had came in. He was gracious enough to allow us to move to that booth which really impressed us. After that, everything was great! Our server's name was Emily. She was fantastic. The food was fantastic. The Brie Panna Cotta appetizer is a must have - don't go there without trying this! The drinks were fantastic. We really enjoyed it and we would likely go back again in the future. I would recommend this place if you're in Walla Walla. You won't be disappointed.

Local favorite. Love the interior design. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We were pleased with our choices. Definitely go here if you visit Walla Walla.

Enjoyed our night out at the Salted Mill. Ordered the Shrimp Puttanesca, Pork Katsu Sandwich, and Drive-In Burger. All were unique and delicious! The service was the best I've ever had. Staff paid attention and met our needs before we knew what we needed. Very comfortable vibe. Interesting architecture and design details. Would definitely go back! Thank you for the great experience, Salted Mill!

The first thing is coming in you get that rustic lodge feeling from the woodwork and decor as you get hit with that smokehouse aroma. No better way to get you hungry and set the mood for BBQ. Just yum! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. She was attentive and checked in but never intrusive, hovering and did not ignore us once served. Tried a flight with Huckleberry, Berry, Cinnamon, Espresso and Walla Walla Sweet Onion (they "tree in" the espresso). Could take or leave the berries espresso and cinnamon were fantastic while the onion was interesting. Had a Bloody Mary with the onion and it was good. One table mate had the loaded potato with Mac and cheese and pulled pork. The noodles were bigger than skinny boxed and very tender. The cheese was creamy and flavorful and the pulled pork was tender and juicy and jam packed with flavor but could have been a bit more smoky. For the food: I got a small BBQ platter which came with 3-meat choices , a dinner roll and a single side choice. I chose baked beans for my side. Tri-tip, ribs and brisket for my meats. I tasted the beans nothing special but tasty. Same for the roll. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, juicy and meaty! I got three 3"-4" ribs. I also had a small pile of super thin sliced tender juicy and flavorful tri-tip and three 1/4-1/2" thick slices of brisket. The brisket was moist and had a good smoke flavor as well. I ate all the ribs, half the tri-tip and a slice of brisket. The rest went home with me as this was a hearty serving. To end our evening we were sent on our way with well wishes and thanks for patronage from our server and the bartender!

Got an IPA for $8. Started with the k-pop wings. They were delicious and juicy and had a great flavor, and I enjoyed the sauces it came with. Also got the lamb burger. Honestly pretty disappointed. It was pretty dry, with barely any sauces and the bread made it more dry so it was hard to eat. The lamb was pretty good but wasn't the best. I also wish it came with fries or something else as a side. Finally got the Bibimbap with tofu. It was beautifully plated and had a lot of toppings but the rice was inedible. It seems to be at least a day old, not fresh, and it was not warm at all. The rice made it hard for me to enjoy as that was majority of the dish. The tofu was pretty good but overall I wouldn't return here unless for the k-pop wings. After dropping off the bill our waitress didn't come back at all so we had to wait a long time to get checked out, even another waiter had to come in and check us out because he realized she didn't come back. Kinda disappointed :/

Since the menu didn't indicate it was grilled or served hot, we expected a traditional cold sandwich. Instead, it arrived hot, which quickly wilted the lettuce to the point that we removed it. The tater tots were just okay and seemed a bit overcooked or possibly freezer-burned. We were also surprised to see a charge for splitting a meal. We rarely ask to split dishes because my husband typically eats much more than I do, but it's the principle that bothered us.
