Just truly terrible. Listen, I love Applebees. I worked there all through high school in Texas. To this day I still stop by for an Oriental Chicken Salad. We have been to this location four times and each time we say we will never be back. This time, we mean it! The service is so slow. No one there cares at all. One time we waited for 10 minutes after our food came because there was no clean silverware in the whole restaurant. It's always something like that when we come in. So went there for dinner last night. It started off well then went down hill. Why would you think I wanted the appetizer brought out w my dinner? Ribs were way over done. The manager did give us a discount but not worth the inconvenience. Was there a few weeks before n the fries were cold n old but waitress didn't come around till the end so didn't matter by then. My wife and I have eaten here a few times over the years. We were pretty happy the first few times but it seems to me the last few times have left us wanting. Tonight we went on a date night. We went during happy hour at around 5:00. The place was very busy. We were seated in about 5 minutes at a dirty table. The waiter, David, was there quickly to take our drink and appetizer order. The drinks arrived after the appetizer (15 minutes). No water or anything. The food arrived about 47 minutes later. My wife ordered grilled salmon, green beans, and garlic mashed potatoes. I ordered an 8 oz sirloin, fries, and 4 cheese mac and cheese. The salmon was over cooked and dry, the green bean were over cooked and limp, and my macaroni and fries were both cold. The waiter was so inattentive that I had to order our second round of drinks and pay my tab using the kiosk on the table. (The drinks arrived faster that way anyway). While we were waiting we also got to enjoy hearing our waiter have loud conversation with his coworkers and as he walked past our table he fairly shouted " where the f**k is that beer". Our tab including tip was just shy of $80. Lousy food, lousy service, and too much money for it. At least I had good company. read more

My wife and I arrived here at 6pm and were promptly seated. Our server didn't show up until 10 minutes later and took our drink order. 10 minutes later she came by to take our food order. 30 minutes later nothing even people who came in after us were eating. Our server came by twice to say she was checking on our order. After 35 minutes we decided to walk out. I left money on the table for our drinks and told the hostess at the door why we were leaving and she said sorry and continued on chatting with three colleagues. Having not eaten in an Applebees in over ten years, I stopped by this one in Yuma the other night, with nothing else open nearby on a Sunday night but a Flying J across the freeway (don't ask). I had the Shrimp and Parmesan Sirloin, and it was exactly the culinary modus operandi that I've experienced at Applebees in years past: a thousand calorie, fat-laden, over-flavored sauce intended to mask the fact that the steak is not fit to serve a dog. Service was fine. Staff was friendly. The failure with the food was not specific to the Yuma franchise; it is systemic to all of Applebees. See you in another ten years. read more

My company uses a hotel for travel to Yuma right next door so I've been here 8-10 times. I can't express how bad this place is. Bad food, horribly prepared, and the service isn't terrible but it's subpar. Do yourself a favor and go to Da Boys Pizza and Pasta in the same parking lot. 100,000,000,000 times better. read more

Bad kitchen...no quality control, four people and all four orders were messed up, THEN brought 2 of them back wrong AGAIN! Food wasn't even that good. Not much else to choose from in the immediate area, so if you must come here, be prepared to WAIT for your drinks, appetizers, and food and don't have even mediocre expectations on service or food. I've been here a number of times, never wowed. This is the second time I'd been seated in the back area. Then all the staff gathers around in these back two booths, even the manager. They are noisy, talkative, just a lot of added commotion. Last night and the previous visit this happened it wasn't busy in the store so it just seemed rude and unprofessional. The waitress paid plenty of attention to us and was very friendly, the food was okay nothing amazing. very unhappy with the meal that I received. Baked potato was cold enough that the butter would not melt. Riblets were so overcooked that dried out come to mind. Today we went in for early dinner and I ordered the shrimp Thai salad. EVERY PIECE OF MY SHRIMP WAS RAW. The staff didn't seem to even act like they cared of how big of a deal it was. After explaining to two different people my shrimp was RAW the GM came over and said "you wanted to speak with me?" This is not acceptable, who the hell do they have cooking in the back, SHRIMP literally takes two minutes to cook to an opaque White color. Even if you use lemon or lime juice. I seriously hope I don't get sick now. Don't worry, they surely grabbed my husbands card to charge us for everything else and said "but we took off the salad." I'm not looking for a free meal but atleast have some quality control and use empathy. We will never go here again and I will tell everyone I know about our experience. Service is always pretty lousy at this location. The food is expensive for the quality and portion sizes. Expect to wait a long time for food, if you need anything extra like a straw or side of mayo, don't be surprised if the waiter never returns with it, even if you ask several waiters (like we did). This has happened to us more than once and we don't eat here that often. Once the waiters were standing around watching a game on TV while we were waiting for something they said they would bring right out. They also tried to charge us for playing a game on their digital point of sale machine at the table. Apparently another table played a game and somehow it got put on our bill? Not sure what that was about, but they took it off after we questioned what that charge was. I would avoid this location if you must eat Applebees, or better yet find a higher quality family restaurant. read more

We had an ehhh experience. The mango tea and raspberry tea were very gross. The macaroni and cheese with honey chipotle chicken tenders was good except for the honey chipotle sauce that soaked the macaroni with sweetness, I had wished it wasn't so sweet. My mom requested her steak as medium well and it was completely cooked through, the man behind us ordered his steak done and received rare and the lady across from us had a similar problem. read more

The manager Leah along with server Kelsey were so amazing. My friends and I came in for dinner (6 adults, 3 kids and 2 babies). My friends ordered steak dinners and the steaks were not cooked as ordered. We told Kelsey and Leah who then made sure fresh and properly cooked meals were brought out. Haven't been to Applebee's for over 6 months. Now I know why. Table and pay tablet was sticky. Pay tablet was broken at our table, but even if it wasn't we wouldn't have used it because it was so dirty. Food at best was lukewarm. Fries were cold and limp. Had to ask for more to drink from the person that brought our food because the person that took our order didn't seem to have time to stop by the table and when she did she forgot to come back with our drinks. I stopped in here on my way from SD to PHX yesterday. The hostess seated us and I went to the men's restroom. The floor around the urinal was sticky and wet, and the smell was so bad that I passed and moved on to a toilet. Both were disgustingly dirty, as was the floor in both stalls. When I got to the lavatories, there were two soap dispensers- both empty. I imagined the cook staff using this restroom and returning to the kitchen with unwashed hands, and returned to my table. So my boyfriend and I decided that we were not going to eat at home instead we would go enjoy a nice dinner somewhere else.....well..nice it WASNT. When we walked in off the bat there was no one at the front to help seat us..mind you its around 9:30p.m.we got starred at by about 7 employees and we look into the bar area and literally make eye contact with a bartender but she was just too busy flirting with guys at the bar and still didn't help us. SO we decided screw it I guess we will just seat ourselves we walked towards the seating area and by accident ran into a worker and asked where to sit (the dining room was basically empty) and the waiter was like "im not on the clock not me nope not on the clock blah blah" and called ANOTHER waiter to just seat us, then we got ANOTHER waitress.. We ordered our food and got it within a good amount of time. The food itself was good quality definitely a good dinner. I ordered a Margarita and first off I didn't even get a chance to say I wanted strawberry the waitress heard margarita and just left as fast as she could..and it wasn't even good. The alcohol was obviously at the bottom so they didn't mix it. JUST BAD. When we got our food we had no silverware...and no napkins... we were sitting across from a manager who was sitting with a waitress and we kept saying out loud "we need forks, we need silverware " Not one, Not two, Not three times I saw the manager just look at us..not even budge. FINALLY we just turned and looked at her in her eyes and my boyfriend said "HEY we need silverware and napkins" she got up and brought them to us. This applebees is under TERRIBLE management, and unmotivated employees who don't feel the need to take intuitive to help customers. They have tons of waiters/waitress on payroll but no WORKERS, no one there working for there dollar, just a bunch of overpaid lazy people getting paid to sit around. I wish I had a job that easy.. A group of five to seven people go to this Applebee's EVERY Monday night for burgers/beer/appetizers. Due to the large seating table in the bar area, we sit there. However, as the evening progresses, the rock music gets louder and louder despite the entire bar area is full with Sr. Citizens at 5 p.m. We ask to turn the music down but Needless to say, we must yell across the table to each other by the end of our meal....which by the way, took 2 hrs. From seating to our bill being served. Frustrated! Do not sit in bar area. Fast seating but loud and slow compared to dining area!? read more
