I'm not sure I could give a higher recommendation to an eatery. Everything about Bubba's 33 has been great every single time we come. From the greeting as you walk in, to the "Thank you, have a great night" on the way out, it's all exactly what customer service should be. The staff is always friendly. the food is always good, and it's consistent. I have to say that the side salad is the best I've had at any restaurant. The California Chicken is pretty darn good, and the burger was great, but the Fried Chicken is, in my humble opinion, the best thing on the menu. The house margarita is tasty but seemed maybe a bit weak. I'll be trying the pizza tonight. Drinks never go empty, table is always cleared promptly, the managers are present, wait staff is attentive without being overbearing. I really can't say anything bad about Bubba's. Bubba's is busy... its always busy, but they have the staff to handle it. There are TV's everywhere with several choices of things to watch. It's a little noisy at times but never seems to be off-putting. It's casual and kinda trendy, but not giving the "This place is a bar that sells food. I'm not sure if the kids meal mini chicken strips have the same breading or not, but he was a little put off by the spiciness of the chicken strips. To the adult pallet they were very good and very moist. French fries were typical nothing to write home about.. The service today was fast. I didn't get the name of our waitress, but she was spot on keeping drinks topped off checking to see if we needed anything else. She was also excellent in that. She remembered to double check about sauces we might need. It is so obvious that these local residents of Yuma have taken the excellent training provided by Bubba's 33 opening staff to heart. This was our first time trying this spot. I thought it was great. They had good customer service, cool atmosphere. Reminds me a little bit of Brewers. We ordered the Montecristo with fries, Bubba's nacho, crispy shrimp with fries, and a pepperoni pizza. We also had a few five dollar margaritas. We just added an extra shot. Today was our first time going to Bubba's 33 & talk about a great experience. The restaurant was pretty busy, granted it was a Sunday afternoon with football games going on. The atmosphere was perfect, football & basketball games along with other channels on the tvs with the volume being adequate for the hungry crowd. We were immediately seated then greeted by our server Kylie. We informed her it was our first time dining so wanted time to look over the menu, we did order drinks beer & ice tea (the tea was ok, made with Yuma water) followed by onion rings appetizers. Hubby ended up ordering the 12 oz ribeye with extra fries ( he has a severe dairy allergy so this was a safe option) it was absolutely delicious! Cooked perfectly medium rare, seasoned to perfection. Fries were hot, crispy & hit the spot. I asked Kylie for a couple of recommendations & decided on the Creamy Chipotle Pasta. Oh my goodness was it amazing! The serving size was huge (I took more than half home with me) The shrimp/chicken were delicious truly an amazing meal. I really wanted to sit down for lunch today after going with my boyfriend to multiple appointments and the bank, so this is where we ended up. Mostly because of convenience, we were on foot. Mr Boyfriend had the bacon guac burger with "fire" fries and I had the sunshine burger with loaded tots. We also started with the crooked queso sticks, and both ordered drinks (non-alcoholic) a Coke Zero for him and and iced tea and water for myself. We sat down and Mr Boyfriend said "this place reminds me of a Texas Roadhouse and that's not a compliment." It seemed really corporate to him, which for me is really neither good or bad. I like Texas Roadhouse. ;) I was REALLY thirsty after all the walking around today so I drained the iced tea pretty quickly. I was nearly done with the water when the waitress showed up, got my boyfriend more soda while ignoring me. Seriously? The good: The cheese sticks were fine. My burger was tasty although I wish the buns had been toasted. The loaded bacon cheese tots on the side with my burger were tasty, definitely not as salty as Mr Boyfriend's "fire" fries, which he said "tasted like a salt lick". Sorry! Not much heat, but a LOT of salt. A third party joined us and we got her a to-go order of the chicken bacon mac for her to take back to work. She said it was good, but they didn't put any flatware in the to go bag so she had to eat it back in her office with a spoon. Adding a little plastic pouch with flatware and a napkin should be par for the course with a to go order, right? Also, this place is NOISY. There's a lot of different TVs, sports, music, everything all at once. It does seem like the staff is trying. Their attitude seems to be 'as long as you smile and are friendly they won't notice that you don't know what you're doing." I'm sure after the kinks are ironed out, it'll be great.
