We stayed in the Studio Lodge. It was spacious with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. An assortment of snacks and drinks were provided. Breakfast was a feast - French toast, eggs, bacon, muffins, fresh fruit and coffee. Pat & Tom are charming and easy to talk with. Whoever visits the CVE B&B is very fortunate. May God bless.

After having been partially destroyed by fire, vacated by a vagrant, and after sitting unloved and overgrown, the house has taken new life after being restored by the Winner family in the past 29 or so years. It really is magical inside and outside. I can see why people choose this as a wedding venue. I would love to come back and stay there and experience the spa. They were married under a very large gazebo surrounded by beautiful landscaping, flowers and trees. The back drop was a small pond that was being visited by many geese. Just a very pretty scene. The main gazebo was complimented by two smaller gazebos that were connected by matching walkways that made for fantastic wedding photos that will always bring great memories to those participating in the wedding. It was especially emotional as my brother and I gave her away. Our father passed 10 years ago and our mother 5 years ago.She only felt it proper to have her big bothers give her away. The owner said "most of his guests are coming to Mercer for weddings or family reunions". The decor is early 1900's, but with modern amenities. The kitchen is modern and loaded with everything and anything you would ever need for meal prep. We were 9 people which occupied most of the accommodations and we were treated like we were in our own home. The rooms and the house is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We were treated to home cooked breakfast, and freshly made Amish donuts. The house is right in the middle of The Amish with horse and buggy's, fields of corn and cows and horses. We would highly recommend staying at this establishment and would definitely stay again in the future. This is definitely a find!

By far the most amazing bed and breakfast I've ever visited!…read more The home (reconstructed and build by the owners) sits atop the highest peak in the area and overlooks the most amazing rolling hills. In the early morning hours and sometimes even during the day - the surrounding hills cover with fog and you feel like you're standing on an island in the middle of the ocean. It's utterly breathtaking. (I highly recommend staying in the upstairs bedroom! Super comfy beds, an awesome bathroom/shower, and a perfect view of the rolling hills!) A large group of wedding vendors and I photographed a styled wedding on the property and we couldn't have been happier with the end result. There are acres and acres of beautiful trails to walk, a large pond full of fish, an awesome bonfire and outdoor bar, as well as a beautiful barn on the land. The space is utterly perfect for country or outdoor weddings! I cannot wait to visit again - both for professional reasons and for personal! (Also, the owners, Sandy and Lou are two of the sweetest people I've ever met! If you love stories about history - ask them questions! They have so many great tales to tell!)
