What a perfect getaway spot. Foxburg is a tiny town, and the inn is right on the Allegheny River with lovely views and easy access to the Allegheny River Trail for walking or cycling. Our first floor room was spacious and clean and had a rear door to the deck and a front door to a shady courtyard area. It was quiet and comfortable with a casual outdoorsy vibe, not a luxury hotel experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't expect breakfast to be included, but they had a small continental setup with fresh muffins, fruit, yogurt and cottage cheese each morning. There is also the winery, the pizza restaurant, and the nicer Allegheny Grille all within a short walk. read more

My husband and I are traveling from Nyc to ND seeing family. We decided to come to Foxburg for the name(as we are fox lovers)(we also know the town is just named after the founder but still cute). It is a wonderful place and we ate at the foxburg pizza. We decided to stay and walked into the lovely Foxburg Inn. We were greeted by Andrea and she was very helpful and sweet. We got a room with a view and it was clean and just what we needed to spend the night. To say the least we were very happy. We also were greeted by a charming cat named chubby. We fed him tuna and sat with him! (If you come, bring tuna and a bed, (he and his brother will be your guardians). :) There is wifi all over, if you need but this is the perfect place to disconnect from your devices and get a good nights sleep and enjoy the beauty of the area. We recently drove from New York to Chicago and back. We stayed overnight at the Foxburg in both directions. It is excellent and almost right at the halfway point between the two cities. The Foxburg's accommodations are fresh and clean, the staff is friendly, and the view of the river is charming. They are also next door to a restaurant that has outdoor seating, made a very nice grilled salmon, and had live music both nights. If we ever make this drive again, staying here will be a no brainer. I also think this would be a wonderful spot for a small wedding. The hotel has 24 rooms, the next door restaurant has a large, glass enclosed "event" building, and there is also a pizza spot and a winery across the street...so someone could do their rehearsal dinner, wedding, after party, and brunch (if one of those spots would offer a brunch) all on the same little cul de sac overlooking the river. read more

The hotel is under construction right now, they didn't start work until 9am. Third floor is renovated. Rooms are nice,great views of the river. No breakfast, only coffee. No breakfast available in foxburg on weekdays. Dinner next door pretty good. Winery across the road doesn't have a good selection of dryer wines, poor quality. This is our second time staying at the Foxburg Inn. The first was a few years back and the rooms were dated, musty, damp and lots of spiders! Watch the webs when walking outside. The air fresheners to try to mask the smell didn't help. Of course the view was wonderful. Still not worth the money they charge. Our last stay was subpar- still musty, no doubt they might have a mold issue - my nose and itchy eyes tell me so. The view this time wasn't all that great and the noise carries from the bar area. Hopefully there will be another establishment that will offer overnight accommodations in the next few years- I can't imagine us staying here again! read more

WOW... AMAZING.... When I walked in the door, I froze. I told my husband, I have to film this. The room was amazing!!!!! The Allegheny Grille was great. The best part for my husband was the pizza. I've always wanted to stay at the Foxburg Inn. Growing up going to summer camp in the area, it seemed like such luxury. I recently had the opportunity to stay at the inn and was completely disappointed. When you walk in, it's quaint. The front entrance is charming. The front desk staff is friendly. They offered free cookies in the lobby. The open hallways were cute and appropriate for the area. My initial impressions were great, until I walked into the hotel room. The room was old and outdated. It was not very clean. The chairs at the table were thread-barren, showing the orange foam cushions beneath them. Everything felt moist. The room was cold but I lay in bed feeling that the sheets were not completely dry. They only clean your room if you put a tag out on the door (opposite to most hotels that don't clean if you hang the tag out). The only way to not become completely disgusted in the room is to look outside at the view. I understand that hotel choices in the area are slim. The Foxburg Inn has such tremendous potential. They just need to do a deep cleaning and some major upgrades! read more

To an unfamiliar out-of-stater (read: anxious city-slicker), The Foxburg Inn simply does not exist. Cell phone service becomes spotty in this neck-of-the-Northwestern PA-woods, your GPS is bound to go on the fritz en route, and the hotel's address may keep plotting itself elsewhere when entered in Google Maps. Yes, like some sick hick trick being played on them city folk. Soon enough, you will realize your best bet is to get on Route 58W and just head towards the Allegheny River, turning left right before the bridge. If you don't, your car may end up on a few detour romps through farmland dirt roads, but that just seems to be par for the course in this area. Technological setbacks included, Foxburg is a time-warp of a town and The Inn is city center. In about a block's length, this quaint riverside microcosm is home to a pizza place, library, winery store, restaurant, our hotel in question, and little else. A more-or-less modern (relatively speaking) lodging option - and the only one in a good 15-mile radius or so - these accommodations boast picturesque river views, certainly its main selling point. The first-floor rooms have back-door patio access that overlook the Allegheny, perfect for a wedding reception after-party or an early morning read. If your weekend speed is less roaring rapids and more, well, lazy river, look no further - The Foxburg Inn is likely right up your alley. The rooms are nice enough - very clean, with granite bathroom countertops, free wi-fi, and up-to-date HDTVs (even if they do happen to be as small as Michael Scott's prized plasma). Regardless, The Foxburg Inn puts you right at wilderness' doorstep, so its hard to spend too much time indoors with hiking trails and kayak rides and that stunning view waiting just outside. Its main purpose is for sleep, and unfortunately, their mattresses are hard, noisy, and, I swear, smaller than the double-bed size advertised. Chances are you came to Foxburg for a wedding, like myself. It can be a bit of a culture shock for some, for sure, and a town that might make you feel dirty for cursing and/or scared shitless your little trip is about to be fodder for the next big slasher movie. But honestly, in conjunction with the next-door (and connected via footpath) Allegheny Grille, The Foxburg Inn throws a beautiful reception and will keep your guests safe and sound, relaxed and happy. Sure, it isn't exactly my cup of tea - I can't attest to likely taking a few days off from work to head out to The Foxburg Inn at my own leisure. But I would gladly come back for another friend's wedding - that's the truth. After all, at least now I know I won't get lost on my way into town... read more

The location is lovely; however, we lost power on the second day of the weekend. We were moved to another room which also ended up without power. We had to leave due to the loss of power and were told that we would receive a refund for the second night. That was approximately one month ago and they have ghosted us-we've tried calling and emailing and they refuse to return our messages. Very disappointing that they exhibit unethical business practices. read more

We were having lunch at the Allegheny Grill today and decided to stop over to the Foxburg Inn and inquire about reservations. We were met with a very rude lady eating her lunch and yelling at us to look at the pictures and take a brochure. She said you have to call for reservations and then went back to eating her lunch! Our stay at the Foxburg Inn was brief. We just stayed the weekend. We came to see the winery, however to our mistake it was not during the wine season and only had a brief tasting, which was not all that great, considering we had done many wine tasting at wineries in the past, this tasting was a waste of time. It would have been better to come in the summer during the season. I was not impressed with the outdated room, but it was clean and comfortable. We purchased a package weekend deal that included a bottle of wine from the winery. ( which is located across the street). The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. I would stay again, if it was for an occasion to bring us back, but to just plan a trip, No. We enjoyed our dinner at the Allegheny Grille as well as a trip to the chocolate shop and art gallery. I understand they have a Jazz Festival each year, that might be an occasion to bring me back. There really isn't must to do on the one stretch of road that the inn, the restaurant and a few other shops are located. read more

Excellent and very kind staff at the desk and throughout. Clean room. Yeah it's not a Ritz but guess what, your in Foxburg, PA which is a little more established and historic. Good places to eat near by. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Had a nice river view. I love how people rate this place as if your in the city and how there should be clear WiFi service. Your on a River in the middle of PA! Be happy there's enough WiFi to do what you need to do and good cell phone service. I would stay there again. read more

When I think Foxburg Inn, I think great restaurant!! The food is very good and the view on the river is beautiful! One entire side of the resaurant is glass looking onto the river! The service has always been great! Reservations are accepted but not always needed! Also, there is a nice little winery across the street! read more

Beautiful place and you can walk to a winery, restaurant, bar, and the river. I wouldn't stay on the lower levels it smells bad like musty. Will stay again just on upper levels. Staff is nice and friendly. Be careful, had a friend lose their room for a wedding. Make sure your room is guaranteed. I recommend to stay and visit if you can. read more

I really did not like this place. Although the staff was cordial, if a bit loud and the place was clean, there was very little charm to it. It's really just a standard hotel room. I wish I could say something more positive. There was no fireplace in the room or any common areas to speak of. I'd be hard pressed to call it an inn. More like a motel as the doors open to the outside. I am a TV writer/producer by profession and i went there with the idea of holing myself up to get a little writing done as I watched the river flow by, but sadly it was not to be. The view was nice, but afterworking for a few hours, something about the room became very off putting. It wasn't a place you wanted to spend time in, especially at night with the view of the river gone. It got very bad, and rather than stay in a place where I was not having a very good time, I decided to leave. i asked the front desk if i could get a partial refund on the room since I had been there only about four hours or so, at which point they became tremendously unhelpful. They insisted I was being refunded for the second night when I told them as I checked in that I was only staying one. In the end I paid 75% of the regular room mate just to leave. Good luck if you choose to stay here. Make sure you like your oom when you walk in because it doesn't get better over time. read more

I surprised my fiancé with a suite at Foxburg and couldn't be happier with the experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and the room was very clean and beautiful. The fireplace in the room was a very nice feature. The hotel feels very solid and there was no presence of noise from other rooms whatsoever. The view of the river from our room was amazing and I would highly recommend the Foxburg Inn. read more
