He said, "I cleaned it today and it doesn't smell." I said, "You? You cleaned it! No way." Fast forward I accepted another room because there are no exceptions or refunds. Room 14 was tolerable but here are the pictures of the bathroom floor. The shower curtain had pink mold. The tub had grime and pubic hair. I took it to the office but there were none to replace it. From the second we walked up from the private parking lot to the Victorian Mansion we were warmly greeted by owner and operator Alfred.  We both felt welcomed and overwhelmed with the beauty of this home. Alfred made us feel like a family member and gave us a tour of his beautiful home and it's history. Power's Mansion is adorned with so many antique pieces and trinkets that you might initially mistake it for a museum. Each of the rooms have a theme; we had the lighthouse room which was fully decorated in the lighthouse theme. The breakfast was hearty for travelers with tons of carbs, and I loved their quiche. Alfred sets a beautiful atmosphere with music and lighting. We were treated to outstanding hospitality! Alfred went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. His stellar recommendations to visit the iconic parks and sights in and around Auburn were greatly appreciated. Power's Mansion is over 120 years old so it's not perfect but is very charming and we would definitely go back again.

I booked the place, I received texts regarding what my door code would be and a link to book early and/or late check in/out, pet fee. A dog friendly place was necessary for us. Keep an eye out for a Miner's Camp sign to find the place. Drive through and park at your cabin. One of them has handicap parking.. We had a great stay. The place was clean with the exception of some spiderwebs and dust. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash were fixed in the shower. Decent water pressure. There were extra towels in a drawer, a couple makeup remover towelettes by the sink, an extra roll of toilet paper. The kitchen had a small fridge with a small freezer area, stove, oven, utensils, pots and pans. I do, however, wish there were more garbage cans. There was a small one in the bathroom and a small one in the kitchen. The sitting area on the porch was great. The TV in the living space was nice as well. Across the street was Brew Master's Deli-- note their hours. Worton's Market (a popular supermarket with a view) is 3-5 minutes away. We would definitely stay again.

Location would be great for Receptions or large family getaways, especially if you can occupy all the rooms. No real 'food' or 'drink' amenities, so bring your own. The photos and room description was different depending on what site you looked at. There is a steep staircase to get up to the upper rooms so if stairs are an issue, book one of the downstairs rooms We had the Stafford suite and it was amazing. Nicely decorated and again, that bed was so so comfy. If you are under 5'8" you may need a step stool to get in the bed! It can be noisy with the freeway and train nearby but we weren't bothered by it. There is a huge fountain outside the window that helps. This would be a great place for a small wedding or family reunion... the whole place is inviting and cozy. I am sure the grounds are gorgeous in the spring! They do not offer breakfast so we brought some muffins and fruit and enjoyed our coffee in the parlor... you do have full use of the kitchen so If you want to cook, you can. The owners are very prompt to reply if you have questions and check in was a breeze! We will most definitely be back!

We love walking the trails and finding new spots to swim at! There's is a beach area with a small convenience store and a Beach Hut Deli that makes great sandwiches. They are pretty strict on quiet time being at 10:00 pm. Love that they have showers! And the Lake itself has some great views! Our family loves this place!

We felt safe, comfortable and extremely welcomed! The private kitchen was spotless with all the amenities that you needed. It was not far from town. Having a private entrance was very nice feature as it gave us more of a luxury hotel-feeling instead of being inside of someone else's house (as is the case with many other places). Great parking. Will definitely stay again. I highly recommend the Guesthouse suite and the owners were super hosts!
